After the many extremely enthusiastic opinions here, I had to buy a bottling of this fragrance. I am also a fan of woody scents and thought that this fragrance would appeal to me.

Full of anticipation, I sprayed 2-3 sprays and lo and behold....nothing! Absolutely nothing. After about 5 minutes something got into my nose, but no wood. The smell reminds me of the carpet department of various furniture discounters. Pure chemistry that goes straight to my head. The reaction to the synthetic smell: headache. But since it was quite light, I decided to wear it a little bit before taking a shower. After 1-1.5 hours the woody smell stands out. It pushes clearly into the foreground, in the background remains the synthetic. The headache was still quite mild, so I decided to wear the scent until the end of the day. All day long you only smell the woody, synthetic note...that's it.

I'll probably give the bottling away, too bad!

Just like the Tom Ford Oud Wood I was allowed to get to know this scent thanks to the rapper Shindy. In his song Raffaelo Shindy raps " the whole room smells of money thanks to my Bois d'Argent". Since Shindy is not only musically but also in fashion and fragrances quite my taste I ordered a bottling and what can I say: Bois d'Argent really smells like money. After spraying it on, I was directly promoted to my apprenticeship at the bank. It actually smells like a fresh bundle of banknotes.

The individual notes are therefore difficult to recognize at the beginning. With time you will notice quite clearly a pleasant iris. This is slightly underlined by very dry and mild wood notes. With time the iris becomes softer and the woody notes come to the fore, but still the iris is clearly perceptible. Now the fragrance doesn't change over its entire duration, only every now and then a cloud rises into the nose, reminding us of the notes from the beginning.

Altogether I perceive the smell myself for 8 hours, only my environment does not smell it at all. It is so close that even my girlfriend has to get very close to smell it.

When applied, the fragrance looks very masculine, but on the test strip a powdery note, familiar from the original Dior Homme, dominates only more strongly. On the test strip, I would even say that it is a feminine scent.

Even though it is a nice scent, it is not enough for a whole bottle. Too unspectacular and for me somehow difficult to classify by the occasion and season. Nevertheless, Shindy proves its good taste like Oud Wood once again.

Finally I have come to enjoy what is probably the most hyped scent in the world and I have to admit that I can't enjoy it that much.

Then let's get started: After spraying on, we go full speed ahead. Pineapple and bergamot will crush you. Because of the extreme penetrance it is difficult to judge whether it smells natural or synthetic.
Comment my girlfriend: is enough like a shower gel from Fa.

After a few minutes the penetrance subsides and the pineapple comes to the fore, the scent becomes sweeter, fresher and less biting. In addition, a rose, which I perceive to be fresh and gentle, is paired with a soapy note.

The fragrance then lingers for several hours until a woody note creeps in very easily.

That's all I perceive, perhaps I am too untrained and inexperienced in the world of fragrances. All in all, not bad, but I wouldn't touch the money. I like the Creed Erolfa, which was my first Creed by far better. Besides, I miss the elegance of a fragrance in this price range, it is too youthful for me (I'm 28). Maybe it's also the expectations of this fragrance, which are developed through Youtube etc...

One last point: Pantydropper? My girlfriend doesn't like it at all and I haven't received the compliments from others that I usually get for my fragrances.

Since 2011 this fragrance was my summer scent. This year I thought I'd like to try something different and ordered a sample of a complex niche fragrance. Wow, the sample was good, so I invested 120 Euros and wore the fragrance for the last 7 - 10 days. Now the disillusionment: after the 7 - 10 days I don't like the niche scent anymore and I'm back to the L.12.12 Blanc. Even though the niche fragrance is qualitatively different from the synthetic mix of L12.12 Blanc due to its naturalness and the individual ingredients that can be smelled out, it does not reach its "magic". L12. 12 Blanc is a fragrance that is well received by everyone. The most heard comment is: "but you smell good, like freshly showered". And yes, this is one way to describe the fragrance. It is enough like the feeling when you've had a fresh shower and put on freshly washed clothes that still smell like washing powder. But also the feeling of lying down in a freshly made bed. As already mentioned, it is a fresh mix that is hard to tear apart. If you strain, you smell a very dry wood scent in the base, which somehow reminds of the smell of a sauna. The heart note smells flowery, fresh and absolutely not feminine. In the top note, the tangy grapefruit is noticeable. A great scent that lasts on me all day long and the price is unbeatable.

Well, never change a running system: for me it remains THE summer scent par excellence

I remember my first encounter with this fragrance, it was winter. After a hard day of learning in the university library, I was waiting for my bus while listening to the album Dreams by the rapper Shindy. Before I heard it endless times, but this time I noticed the line "B** get high blood pressure, because Shindy smells like Tom Ford Oud Wood" in the intro. Since my bus broke down, I thought to myself: then I'll try the Tom Ford Oud Wood. In the shop I sprayed this scent on a test strip: Oh my God! All the stress of the day fell away from me. It felt like relaxing in a hot steam room in a snowy forest. The scent is wooden, kind of ethereal and every now and then some scent clouds remind me of incense. It is cool and warm at the same time. Probably the cardamom provides the pleasant coolness. A winter scent that does not crush you, but refreshes you. Since this winter day Oud Wood accompanies me through the cold season and has been a perfume for a long time, which I immediately buy again when it is empty. It also goes down well with my fellow men, and I receive hail of compliments when I wear it. Unfortunately, the durability is only mediocre with approx. 5 hours, nevertheless, this smell remains for me the number 1.
