Blood, smoking tobacco and a sea shanty
The first time I tried this perfume I was unprepared and it stongly repelled me, I seemed to smell such a potent blood note combined with tobacco that it gave me a rotting vibe. The more I was able to test this creation on other types of skin the more it turned out birch and gunpowder would be more prominent on my skin while tea and whisky would be more detectable on my relatives' skin.
After extensive testing this open up on my skin as an iron sword piercing through flesh while drying down to a beautiful whisky, tea and opium barrel sailing back.

Rich, fruity and dirty!
A very rich and very complex fragrance consisting of a fruity opening of peach and a pineapple feel for a cocktail effect overlayed on top of dirty animalic oils, resins and dirty woods. The notes that help the transition of the fruityness to the animalic side are in my opinion rosemary, geranium and cistus ladanifer, which also make this fragrance a tad feminine.
If you're a Roja consumer already I assume you will feel this as a bit safer and if you're looking to approach the brand for the first time it may surprise you but I wouldn't call this an overly offending fragrance.

Woody-chypre take on a popular DNA
This falls in the same family of Aventus with a nice birch quality. I find this a bit brighter in the opening and the quality is definitely here although I would have loved it to last longer than it does, it lingers similarly to and EDT after a couple of hours.
I'm going to give this one a very good rating because it was time that we finally had a heavier birch note in a niche manufacturer without sourcing too far off. I look forward to discover this African Brand and to get transported by more creative fragrances.

Dark and woody with an elegant edge
A rich woody fragrance with strong honey (absolutely not in the direction of Naxos), saffron and guaiac wood that also feels uncomplicated and elegant. It dries down a bit sharp and bitter maybe due to cypriol. You could be reminded of Black Afgano and while this can be true you have to keep in mind that you will not find some of the drier notes of smoke or cashmeran that BA might be reminiscent of, this is more resinous and concrete, solid.

Caraibic blue waters?
Is it true that Pierre Guillaume recreated in here the smell where sky and sea meet?
This is a beautiful rendition of a pear note without its fruity aspect for a wet yet not salty effect that benefits greatly the acquatic nature of the composition. I think I can pick up water-lily which isn't listed and a smooth sandalwood, sweeter and more rounded compared to Santalum Album.
If you like the appeal of water notes without any calone, or iodized profile for a rather "blue bath" effect you will love this.
