The somewhat different everyday fragrance
I can not agree with the previous reviewers and reviewers unfortunately and was already surprised about the polarization of the fragrance, because I have taken him quite positive. Also in my environment, the new release came as more creative and beautiful in comparison to the old Ugolini address, which also coincides with my sensation.
The top note, apart from the smoke, seemed somehow familiar to me, but still can't place it. Reminds me of a fragrance I smelled on a lady once and got stuck, vlt. the angelica note ...or the caramel?!
With the smoke quite masculine and unique and makes the fragrance only really interesting. Heart note is then probably the parallel to 17 Rosso, which one can recognize to 5-10% actually, but it is not so that one could say who likes the one, also likes the other or that one of both is redundant.
It then softens towards the end, with caramel and vanilla setting the tone, although the scent is relatively linear overall.
Wear it can virtually any season, in the fall he feels most comfortable, perhaps already in late summer.

Straight Outta 5th Avenue
It's a mild morning, late September. A man in his late 30s, perhaps already in his 40s, gets out of a taxi in front of a skyscraper on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. In his tailored gray pinstripe suit, he hastily makes his way to the elevator that will take him to the top floors to his place of work. It's one of the top commercial law firms.
Confident of victory, he walks without hesitation, without thinking, into the meeting room where everyone was already waiting for him to decide the difficult legal battle in his favor. Although not always fair, he is known to win, without compromise and without consideration.
First impressions count. In addition to his well-groomed good looks and smug facial expression, he stands out for the serious, powdery, dry, yet woodsy scent that dominates his proximity. The mix of warm woods and cold powderiness leaves room for interpretation. Respected by men, coveted by women; that's why Harvey Specter wears Dior Homme Intense.

Thoroughbred Arabian (horses)
Arabian horses are among the noblest and most expensive horse breeds in the world.
Their mane is fine and the coat is soft and shimmering.
A faithful companion with a mind of its own.
Intelligent, courageous, yet sensitive and empathetic, like the Arabian Tonka.

In the opening, the fragrance is citrusy and sensitive, but quickly gains courage and shows its stately splendor of the oud paired with the creamy tonka bean. Saffron from start to finish, makes the scent more approachable, more crowd-pleasing; tames it a bit. The rose holds the reins, is the head of the composition and makes sure that the tremendous power of the individual fragrances do not lose control, but remains modestly in the background.
Enduring like almost no other, this Montale projects and lasts half an eternity, leaving no one in the wind and weather.
For me, a clear, faithful companion in the colder days...

Shower That - Special Limited Edition
So I would describe Pacific Rock Moss in 5 words. For one or the other perhaps a little hard and rugged, but as I find not even so inappropriate.
Clearly aquatic, sporty like the typical men's shower gel, with a niche component from the mossy-green also herbaceous-balsamic fragrances, therefore the Special Edition.
It would make an excellent summer shower gel and for this reason I was disappointed at first sniffing. I was hoping for something insanely unique here, since it was so highly praised by various perfume youtubers.
I could definitely understand the Australia road trip vibes association, but my expectations were not quite met.
Nevertheless, I gave the fragrance several chances and also took it on summer vacation, for lack of alternatives. Sillage and durability were mediocre, felt sometimes more, sometimes less. He performs but on hot days better than on milder.
Meanwhile, he has convinced me, because I catch myself again and again just to sniff the fragrance to enjoy the summer feeling once again.
I can also understand the badge "beginner niche", due to the known sporty shower gel DNA accessible to everyone, which I initially took as negative. Today it no longer bothers me.
In conclusion, I can say Pacific Rock Moss by Goldfield & Banks was my - unwanted - summer fragrance 2021.Who would have thought?!

My first point of contact with the perfume world
It was a late summer afternoon when I strolled curiously along Düsseldorf's Kö. Many different impressions marked this afternoon, from beautiful car bodies, which strutted sometimes louder, sometimes quieter over the asphalt, to the several boutiques with well-dressed employees, who opened the doors to the customers. However, this was not the main association with this afternoon. It was a well-dressed man who had passed me by unassumingly. I wouldn't have even noticed him if he didn't carry with him a very interesting scent that made everyone turn around. It was a scent of elegance, modernity and you could smell the uniqueness, as well as the class that this perfume was. Intrigued by this scent, I described this impression to a salesman at a boutique and the second thing he showed me was Christian Dior Ambre Nuit. I put the test strip to my nose and there was that feeling again. I can't say for sure if it was really the fragrance I smelled that day in question, but it triggered the same associations in me:
Citrusy opening with a peppery background. So subtle that it could in no way come across as intrusive or acrid, paired with the underlying rose to which is added over time these slightly powdery woods and the beautifully warming amber.

It reminds me a lot of amber (not just because of the color) because it has the same effect on me. Luxurious, warm, secure.
Durability and sillage was particularly good for me at the time experience, because I was previously used to only low-quality fragrances, after today's perception and quite a few olfactory samples later, I would call it a little better than mediocre, but definitely one of the better of this line.

Since this perfume, a new world has revealed itself to me. A world that didn't seem to exist for me before. A world that goes beyond the high street perfume stores. The infinite world of fragrances
