A few days ago I received a sample from the manufacturer of My Way...( at this point I would like to thank all manufacturers who send free samples).

According to the description I had expected an intense floral..sweet..fragrance with fruity chords that would have fitted into my prey scheme

My Way also starts out quite fruity-fresh ...but... unfortunately something alcoholic is burning quite badly in my fine nose ( snifffffffffffffff). A short time later this is gone and My Way slowly but surely develops into a warm ...and through the white flowers powdery, seductive scent.

My Way can be described as an elegant women's fragrance that is sure to find its lovers. It is intense with plenty of silage and lasts for 8 hours. Nevertheless, I would not exactly classify it as an everyday fragrance...rather as a fragrance for the evening and/or special occasions

And as it is in life..everyone should find HIS way
MyWay will unfortunately no longer accompany me on my way.

I think we all know that
So much is happening in our lives and in this world
Despite everything, we always try to stay positive and make the best of everything.

But there are also days when we find this particularly difficult and feel vulnerable and helpless.
That's the kind of day I have today
Then I look for comfort, security and protection in one fragrance and find it again and again in Satine.

At the beginning warm tonka bean hugs me and Heliotrope says quietly hello.
Gardenia brings lightness like a fresh morning and Jasmine whispers...Hey...I'm making your day a little sweeter. But not too sweet...whispers the pink pepper..because I bring a little bit of looseness
Soft sandalwood and soft vanilla join in and I already feel much more comfortable.
A little bit more fine patch as a balm for the soul and vetiver for the grounding.

Satine has done it again.
I feel comforted, safe, protected, gently embraced and grounded again.

Again with a little smile on the face everything is much easier again.

I have been an avowed fan of Angel since he ascended into the fragrance heaven in 1992
At that time an absolutely new fragrance experience and it is still considered today as the 1st Gourmand Parfum.
It was very brave of Mugler to pack a whole fair in one bottle
But the courage was worth it. Angel is still the best selling gourmand and was awarded the FIFA Award Hall of Fame in 2007.

Over the years, more and more Angel's were sent to heaven.
Sometimes less sweet..sometimes more fruity ...but always with an unmistakable Angel-DNS.

Years ago I would have bought the Angel's blind.
I don't do that anymore... thank God!!!!

After testing Angel Eau Croisiere in the perfumery in 2019, this was the first time I was disappointed by an Angel
Although you could still perceive a slight hint of the angel DNA, I would not have classified him blindly into the angel family anymore.

Now a week ago I received a sample of Angel Nova which I have now tested extensively
Angel Nova is sweet... sweeter... too sweet... and fruity
Sugar sweet raspberry, cranberry, lychee....candied rose.
Yeah... it's a gourmand
But...no chocolate, no caramel, no praline, no patchouli...nothing!!
I'm disappointed

My conclusion:
Angel Nova is a beautiful gourmand that you can enjoy in low doses
But:
In my opinion, Angel Nova does not belong to the Angel family, nor does it belong in a star bottle.
It is an independent gourmand that would have been better sent into the fragrance world with a new name and bottle.

1996....and my dad and I were once again (as almost usually on a Saturday morning) on a prey...or rather perfume parade on the way.

Since we were well known in the perfumery and had already tested (and bought) many things, the nice saleswoman came after me and said:
"Here...we have this Givenchy brand new...it's called Organza...try it out" and handed me the bottle

I looked at the bottle and thought to myself..ohhh..really very beautiful and noble looking.
Like the silhouette of an elegant lady.

Sprayed on the wrist..and like daddy always said..wait for my girl
My first thought was... hmm... might be a little difficult
I left the scent alone for a while and as always, dad was right.

I noticed bright white flowers, a vanilla that is not too sweet, ambergris and very fine woods
There it was..this warmth and sensuality..I felt incredibly safe
That was my new love and he had to come home with me

That was 24 years ago and since then Organza.
He is still a symbol of elegance...sensuality...warmth...security for me and still shines very nobly and luxuriously...even if now with a little touch of nostalgia

I inherited my great passion for fragrances from my great daddy.
We both always looked forward to Saturday in particular. That was our perfumery in the morning
We could spend hours there, testing, smelling, talking shop and having the most fun.
I still remember very well how I made the acquaintance with Tendre Poison on this late summer day.
After about 3 hours (yeah..we were tough..hihi) and 2 new scents for me I urgently needed fresh air
But my dad didn't have enough. So I waited in the car

When he finally came and I was about to leave, he said "Wait, I have something for you"
Then he pulled a green/black/golden package out of his pocket... "I give you that today my girl".
I read "Tendre Poison" by Dior
Okay, I already knew the "normal" poison, which was exactly my prey scheme

Then the OBERKNALLER
I asked: Do you know the scent?
My father's answer was: Nah, but I liked the packaging so much!!
No shit!!!

Now of course I had to test the scent immediately in the car.
First of all: I love fruity, powdery, gourmet...

So...cardboard on..Wow..what a beautiful bottle. Then very carefully the first spray
I can't remember what twisted my mind at first. The eyes? Or was it the stomach???
I just smelled grass ...green. ..grass. My nose and eyes started itching
Help...I was leaving.
But I loved my dad way too much to let him notice me and I just said...Hhmm..not bad...he might need some more time

So we drove home.
But MOMENT times...what's happening right now?
Suddenly there was something creamy, light, powdery, fruity!!!
2 hours later, my dad was my perfume god.

It is still one of the best fragrances I have ever possessed and above all one of the most wonderful memories of my dad, who unfortunately died much too early
