A scent to kneel down in
Oud Yusuf

A scent to kneel down in. A scent that carries me, a fluid that warms me, protects me and evokes deep relaxation in the twinkling of an eye.
I use it when a day is particularly exhausting, when I just want to find deep rest.
To describe a single essence as perfume is basically an antagonism.
By chance, I've seen that Oud Yusuf is listed here as perfume.

To be honest, I didn't expect this, because it's a raw material, an ingredient for perfume production for me.

I have been using Ensar Oud's various oud oils in the MGO fragrance factory for years to pay due respect to my fragrances, if they are oud perfumes.

So when is a perfume a perfume and not just a scent? I think this is the case when a fragrance is recognizable, when different phases and developments take place. To describe a perfume, therefore, is also composed of the perception of this course of fragrance.

Typical of the smell, the top note.
In Oud Yusuf's perception this is slightly animalistic, earthy, strong, at no time faecal.
The description, annoying or unpleasant, is definitely out of the question here.

It is for me one of the best and also for western noses suitable Oudduft which one can buy for money.
The heart note can be called floral, a little metallic and slightly spicy. In the base this fragrance spreads over hours a gourmand note reminiscent of good old sandalwood.

As described at the beginning, I occasionally treat myself to the pleasure of using this fragrance solo.
Otherwise, Oud Yusuf and other Ensar varieties are regularly used in my perfumes.

I am firmly convinced that, in addition to the head, heart and basis with such qualities, the "soul" component will be incorporated into a perfume.

There are a number of excellent and varied oud varieties at Ensar, all of which are certainly uniquely good and many of which have moved in with me.
Unfortunately, the available quantities are always sold quickly and the perfumes produced with them can never be repeated.
I need to get to Ensar's side real quick and see what's left to get.

I can only strongly recommend every oud interested to also add a few grams of this divine scent.
But please wait until I order right away. -:)

Like it?
The prelude already appeals to me. Spicy, slightly citric and strong.

Juniper berry with hesperide mixture, so you could serve this fragrance as an appetizer.

After 10 minutes on the skin, supported by salt and aniseed, associations of a liquorice come up with me.
These are however so restrained and to be discovered only with the near sniffing, as one could speak here of a liquorice smell.
In the base there is a trace of galbanum in addition to benzoin and the indicated protagonists.
The fragrance remains in spice mode, nice and interesting. I need to get something to eat now, something salty, spicy, strong.

As a perfume, this fragrance will not be absorbed by me. The sample of Calgari (many thanks for that) is still enough for one or the other evening, when I feel like a spray of spices. Then I will surely eat something strong again.

Conclusion: Not a perfume, but for me a fragrance concept and as such also pleasing

Undecided
So the scent is for me and I recognize no line, no corners, no edges.
For me, a smell of spicy detergent, as used in large office buildings in the States, is recognizable. But perceived far back in the hallway, not at the source. Also clean and a little after polishing he comes now and then in his approximate indecision.
Not mine, but thanks to Calgari anyway. Only those who test can find their preferences.

Should I turn the other cheek, too?
Pooh, that's heavy.

Testing such a scent would not have occurred to me at all, I didn't even know it yet.
A perfume company sent me this fragrance as a sample. Caligari, or better Alex knows however my sometimes daring Faibel for strong "Toubak".

Just for the possibility of testing once again many thanks.

In another comment Jeke is classified as unacceptable, which irritated me and at the same time made me cautious.

This morning I applied it sparingly with just one sprayer and travelled directly into the past.
I feel like I'm back in the 60's, a road construction machine is spreading fresh, hot tar on the road, I'm running after a little boy and take a nose or two of this smelling in swaths through the village.
Always hard at the limit to the unpleasant, I have stored this tar smell once and for all in my scent memory.

The prelude was therefore successful for me with regard to a "smell".
I've got to get to the freeway. The job is 400 km away.
Do I take the time to take a second shower after all?

Oh, what the hell, it's still a while until I have to pass in business.
After about an hour, I still haven't sniffed my fill, I feel warmth and satisfaction with this attempt.

Incredibly smoky, tarry, spicy.
Although not listed here, my nose is definitely made of birch tar. I like birch tar in leathery perfumes, provided the measure is kept.

Russian Juchten, as I know it, is against this brew a gentle breeze.
After 2 hours there are again and again fragrances of a strong and still slightly vanilla pipe smell added. An old pipe, one with a lot of "crust" which, when trying to clean it once and for all, leads to the fact that after the first plugging and lighting, parts of the fired wood also have their share in the smoky cloud. On the tongue this pipe burns however.

The carnation, which I like too much, comes with increasing dominance.
I've only got 10 km till I'm human. I've got to get through this. The cool fresh air supports the scent of the short walk from the parking lot to the office building to occupy the site.

I have survived the day confidently and confidently. A colleague dared to say, but today you are wearing an exceptionally strong fragrance.
I'm sure he's right, but I don't have to comment.

It is now 20 o'clock in the evening, I entered the office around 9 o'clock, Jeke was ordered this morning at 5 o'clock.

He's still there, performing hard, but tamer in the meantime.

I really like that smell a lot.

Is he unbearable? I think so. Will I wear this scent again in public? No!

Will I allow myself to indulge in him once in a while for old times' sake? Yeah, sure!

I just have to wait until my wife is on the road without me for a few days. One day is not enough, the scent must fly out of the house again.

"as my general used to say when he was really impressed.
And thanks again to Calgari for giving me just this one from his unbelievable fundus for testing. He just knows me

I'm a tough guy and that's a good thing!
Tyrannosaurus Rex is a fragrance that lives up to its name.

I love scents that cross the border and I stand by them.
Through a dear perfume, Caligari, I came to test this extraordinary perfume.
While many users find it difficult to classify such a fragrance as a perfume, I like the idea of bringing together the seemingly impossible as a fragrance concept.
If you use T-Rex rather sparingly, you will enjoy a reminiscence of the tar machine of the early 60s at the beginning. Why does this fragrance remind me of that?

I'm maybe 5 years old and roaming the village. Pure hot asphalt is applied to the road and I enjoy real liquorice I bought in small pieces for a few pennies in the savings shop.
Nobody in my family wanted that liquorice, and neither did my friends. I still love her today. Strong, austere and yet aromatic, just like the tar smell of the time. Today it doesn't smell so good for me on tar machines. Probably because some of the harmful substances are on the list of banned ingredients.

After sniffing the tar I took tree resin from my grandmother's cherry tree and played with it. Sticky and sweetish, at the same time a little woody, resinous and smelling of turpentine.

T-Rex awakens memories in me, pleasant memories and therefore I like him.
Maybe I take it to hours of solitude, because just as my preference for tar and liquorice is not shared by anyone around me, so it can be with this scent.

In the course of time the smoky part increases again and a medical alcohol note brings a little sweetness, animal sweetness.

I constantly have to sniff at the back of my hand, the oily stain attracts me magically.
In short, I like this fragrance and there will be opportunities to wear it with delight. Finally something I don't have to share
