Love at second attempt
My perfumer usually adds a fragrance to my purchase for me to try out. Just like two years ago when she sent me a sample bottle of Insurrection II Pure and a piece of paper with a smiley on it. When I took a few bumps from the rehearsal I was not at all taken with the note. The opening was somehow just not mine at all... I just wasn't prepared for that smell. So the sample went relatively disappointed in the bucket.
Now, after a good two years and my extended knowledge and the knowledge of Aventus and its Dupes, the saleswoman put Insurrection II Pure to my heart once again. The perfume is really almost like Aventus and unbeatable when it comes to value for money. So I ordered the water.

When I then had the package in front of me, I was not badly surprised. The packaging is of enormous quality and unusually elaborately designed for a perfume. When I think of Creed's cardboard box I have to smile a bit about its price. The whole thing comes across in a clean, clear, pure white. Noble.

The fragrance is really fresh at the beginning. Pineapple and apple dominate, the former definitely having priority. As someone has written here, the opening can be a bit peculiar, and you can be a little averse to it. This was probably the first time I missed the experience with the little water. But as soon as the heart note with jasmine and patchouli appears, I also smell the currants. The opening is simply sweet and then it goes on like this. So it seems to me that I already notice vanilla in the heart note. The base with ambergris and musk is simply ingenious. Classic warm and inviting. I am so taken with the heart and above all the base note that I enjoy going through the opening. The opening doesn't take too long. But what I am asking myself now is, how Aventus smells then, because he is still said to have a smoky note... I will fall in love again?

I definitely rate the shelf life as very good. Honestly, I took a shower in the evening and applied the fragrance, exemplary as it should be on the freshly showered skin. I took four shots per side of my neck and went off into the night. When I got out of bed 13h later the next day, I still noticed the scent on my skin. Even a little after the shower.

The Sillage is all right. In my opinion, the scent stays with me and does not fill the whole room. Naturally in relation to the amount applied. But for the night at the club, it was fine. Half a portion for the office and the fragrance is a quiet companion for the handshake.

The bottle is well processed and even has a protective foil for the silver accent. The appearance is massive, as is its content, but I don't know why this fragrance was chosen white. The spray head is compatible with the Travalo which always pleases me. I am not convinced of the feel, no matter how I hold the bottle, it does not fit comfortably in my hand. Maybe I also have too small hands.

All in all, I'm glad I gave the fragrance a second chance. Although I don't (yet) know how Aventus from Creed smells, I'm so taken with this one that I'll definitely wear it more often.

Whether you're taking this fragrance as a dupe to Aventus or just looking for a great men's fragrance for the warmer season, you've come to the right place.

Not for me...
It was summer, it was hot, I was inexperienced and my head was dehydrated.

So I can excuse myself this perfume slipper.
I really don't know what rode me back then to buy that scent. Probably wanted to treat me to something and found nothing else.
So I looked for something refreshing, something hip, light, something that... Exactly, the feel of the bottle finally convinced me. Oh, how emotional this purchase was. Yes, I was young...

The scent is much too synthetic for me over all consideration. The opening somehow not coordinated at all, then something woody and at the end comes the tonka bean which always stretches my nose anyway... No, I liked this fragrance less and less after the purchase, but it doesn't have to be due to the fragrance per se.

The durability is luckily really bad, which I always liked because I was somehow always glad when he was gone again. The opening loudly and as soon as the heart note comes the smell becomes again quieter, except one sweats.

The Sillage is also not so strong, which was also to be welcomed, because somehow I wanted to wash off the scent after a few minutes again and again.

The bottle, on the other hand, is really beautifully made. OK, the clasp looks cheap, but I don't expect anything high quality from Mexx. What I liked was the surface of the glass, this matte one. And the color of the water is also really great done. This cold blue, really nice refreshing, after all optical.

So I wore the fragrance a few times and then put it into the collection. Meanwhile I disposed the bottle with a 3 remainders. Hope you haven't disposed of any equipment here, lol.

I'm still ashamed of this scent today, but nobody has to know ;)

Amazingly fair
I was recommended Putting Green by Omerta here in the forum in a thread about Eau Sauvage by Dior.
It is absolutely exactly the same, but costs only a fraction.
When I looked at the price and saw with joy how little the perfume costs, I dared a blind purchase.

A few days later then the surprise in the mailbox. Full of joy I opened the envelope and inspected the packaging. Solid. Opened the box and took out the bottle. The bottle looks really cheap. When I wanted to see if the spray head was compatible with a Travalo, it got rid of the silver cover. Okay, we're in the really cheap segment. But is Travalo compatible which always pleases me.

A few splashes of the fragrance on my skin and immediately you taste very dominant the lemon. Somewhat stronger than Eau Sauvage but surprisingly similar to Dior's water. Putting Green can rightly be praised as a substitute. What I would like to note, however, is that the fragrance appears a little sharper, somehow more angular, jagged. Eau Sauvage looks more childlike, rounder, finer. Hopefully someone understands what I mean and can even tell me the right terms, if there are any.
As fresh and citric as the opening, as warm and grounded is the base note, which appears after a good 2 hours together with the heart note. The fragrance becomes quieter which I like very much. The (white?) musk comes across great with the amber and the oakmoss gives the green pure or yet vetiver? Anyway, I like the base note enormously. Classic, masculine.

The shelf life is absolutely fine. Anyway, at that price. I sit in the office and spray two splashes in the morning and they last until after lunch, even if only close to the body.

The Sillage is average which is great, because especially in the warm season a scent should not be too intrusive. Of course the opening is a bit louder, but it is over relatively quickly and the heart and base note accompanies you calmly but present with.

Anyone considering Eau Sauvage (EdT) should try this fragrance first or afterwards. Not exactly the same, but pretty damn close

Be The One
This scent... just first-class. I think Sahne is quite right when it comes to describing the velvety appearance of these perfumes. Lately, I've been having some noisy scents. This one seems to wrap around you quietly and discreetly. In a delicate sweetness to wrap like a sweet, but not to exaggerate like Joop.

I tried various fragrances that day, sweet, citric, leathery and also hot, but nothing could convince me. Until I came across Dolce & Gabbana The One. On the strip the scent could convince me immediately, exactly what I was looking for. So I took a sample with me on my wrist. The development of the fragrance was exciting, already after 15 minutes I had already reached a completely different level, which lasted until an hour later it subsided and the base came to light even more. Just gorgeous. I probably sniffed my wrist all day long and was aware that I was freshly in love. The.Must.Her. Since I found a good deal, I chose eau de parfum. You're supposed to have a good shot after all.

The fragrance is round, masculine, elegant and doesn't attract much attention, but is present when you turn to it. So a true gentleman. He acts discreetly in the background, seduces you but you should come too close to him.
I guess it's the amber, amber is just one of those essences that make me float. I wonder what would happen if musk and vanilla were added to the base note. Probably it would be too overloaded and the shine over...

The shelf life itself is good so far. I applied the scent in the evening after showering and smelled it in the morning when I woke up.

The Sillage can't convince me for an eau de parfum. I definitely expected more there. 4 sprayers are just getting close to 2 Terre d'Hermès sprayers, close. But maybe the intended was conceived in such a way, because it is supposed to be a gentleman.

The bottle skilfully underpins the statement of the fragrance. Solid, caramel-brown-sweet and the falling colour gradient into black as well as the fragrance gets more and more depth towards the end. The spray head is solid and compatible with the Travallo, thus perfect.

All in all a really good fragrance, which I can recommend to every man (giving women) who is looking for something that nothing can go wrong with.

Be a gentleman, be you, be The One

Fabric softener
There I stood in the local DM and rummaged through the racks of scents when suddenly the camp field caught my eye. Solid, heavy, simply unmistakable Karl Lagerfeld. I like Lagerfeld, liked him when I was a kid. And as a big Vetiver lover I was curious what I get into my nose.

The opening is very fresh, citric but not too strong. It looks round, slightly powdery and certainly flowery. But where is the Vetiver? Only after sniffing my wrist several times could I filter it out. Very weak, in the background. Well, maybe I will. The little water reminds me of Terre d'Hermès, but it's not really a comparison, not even a budget version of it. TdH just has more seasoning, more salary.

The actual scent is quickly absorbed, the roses of the heart note. Then why not "Eau de la rose"? I wonder. And so it happens that I somehow like the scent very much. He reminds me of something that's already...? Oh yes, exactly, the neighbour's fabric softener that smells so fine when she still lets her laundry hang to dry when I start my wash already.

Ambrox and (white) musk in the base note are almost a must, as this is where Lagerfeld's commercial side is supposed to come into its own. Patchouli is a perfect complement to the rose petals. However, the base note does not smell much, as the shelf life is not particularly long and the sillage leaves a lot to be desired.

All in all a light, refreshing, bright fragrance, which is more effective in the warm season than at the beginning of the year. I think that's the reason why durability and Sillage were chosen rather weakly, because you don't want to burden anyone around you with the scent in summer.

I like that bottle. It is simple, cool and refreshing, like the fragrance.

For me the case is clear, I'm going to ring the doorbell next time, with a bottle of good wine in my hand and the call on my skin.
