My Heaven
When I decided over a year ago - after decades of fragrance abstinence - that I wanted to wear a perfume again, I went in search of one, of "my" vanilla perfume. And no, it wasn't Spiritueuse Double Vanille at the time, it was Vanille West Indies which was to be my first perfume. I hadn't known any niche fragrance until then and was amazed at the Parfumo world, which was closed to me until then. I just wanted to smell like vanilla. After a few months of researching online and testing vanilla bottlings, it became VWI. I still love it today, as well as Tihota by Indult. Now VWI hasn't been available for purchase new for over a year and neither was Tihota for a long time. So recently I continued to test my way through vanilla perfumes with a now different view of the fragrance world. Over a year of Parfumo did not pass me by without a trace. After many fragrances that were allowed to enter, but it was clear, it should be once again a vanilla fragrance that really smells like vanilla and not just accompanied by it. Since VWI is still not available, I got to know Spiritueuse Double Vanille.

Upon first testing it, I was a little disappointed. Not about the fragrance, but about the durability and sillage. I had been wearing Confetto, a wonderful vanilla-heavy beast, for a few weeks (yes, even at work...), and my nose was obviously not as receptive to the slightly quieter scents. I've since come to see it differently. SDV is a wonderful not-too-heavy fragrance that still has a presence. The scent is more complex than VWI, but also carries the vanilla as an exclamation point. It touches my soul. Another perfumo recently described fragrances as "places of longing", this is true for me with SDV. I barely detect rum - if at all - minimally in the opening, though it's not listed there at all. SDV is lovely, but not too sweet. In a way, it reminds me of Vanilla 28 by Kayali, which I find too "cheesy" and synthetic though. SDV manages to perfectly blend the Vanilla 28 with the VWI without making it too sugary, allowing the vanilla to be heavenly for me in an unsweet form. So today, for the first time, I dared to declare a scent as a signature scent. That doesn't mean I wear it all the time. Nor that it is and will be the only vanilla scent for me, but it comes very close to my ideal, as does VWI.

And: If you wear Confetto in the office, you wear SDV everywhere and in every season!

Beautiful gourmand
Dear perfumos, if you like gourmand fragrances, you should definitely try this one. Even if he has already come into the years, he has lost nothing in attractiveness and modernity. I feel him in no way as turgid or stale.

Yes, anise and almond play a supporting role, but for me it is once again the vanilla, which beguiles me and is also in the foreground. Thus, Confetto has just approached my favorite vanilla fragrances and is on a par with them, perhaps even a higher... By the way, outsiders also seem to perceive it that way, because I have now been addressed more often in the form of "Aah, are you wearing your vanilla scent again?". If I then say, "no anise", I get irritated looks. Apparently, for my environment can not immediately make a difference to, for example, vanilla West Indies, which I have already worn very often.

In general, I have never received so many compliments in such a short time, usually my scents are ignored by my environment at least in terms of feedback. Thus, there seems to be really a very good sillage at Confetto, but without being perceived as unpleasantly intrusive. At least this was reflected to me so.

A fragrance progression I do not perceive, the warm sweetness caresses me from beginning to end, and the end is waiting.

The fragrance is simply a dream. Sweetness you have to like, but then he is just stunning. And not only in winter. I wear it now!

There are better vanilla scents
As an absolute vanilla fan, I can not understand all the positive reviews at all. Possibly because the overall composition is not bad in itself, but in terms of vanilla?
The first thing that bothers me is the jasmine impact. There but the fragrance can not help it, I can not stand a dominant jasmine scent. He wraps for me in the top note the vanilla completely, so that something sweet is still to be guessed, but not really a vanilla. No vanilla comes through for me in the heart notes either. Something uniformly sweet that goes together well and isn't unpleasant even for me despite the jasmine. Now if the scent was a bit more durable, it could still score in that regard at least. But durability and sillage are also very poorly pronounced for me. Thus, it is neither cozy nor gourmand. He does not disturb, but more also not.
Sorry to all Kayali vanilla fans. For me, there are far better vanilla fragrances.

Goes almost always
Previously owned (long before my "Parfumo passion") and now rediscovered. Despite all the great niche fragrances, which I gradually learn to appreciate, almost all Narciso fragrances exert a great attraction on me. This Narciso is not one of the loudest, on me it doesn't last very long, after about 3-4 hours I can barely detect it on my wrist. I also don't think it has a mind blowing sillage, at least haven't been approached about it yet. I don't mind it so much, in fact I often find it an advantage when a fragrance is more restrained. Despite this rather average performance, this Narciso has now found its way back to me. I find it warm and very feminine. The musk that envelops me, this always named Narciso DNA, I experience in this case as very soft and unobtrusive. There stings nothing, even the floral prelude passes quickly into the creamy.
I am very sensitive to some fragrances, for example, can not have hyacinths or lilies in the room, because my skin begins to tingle and eyes burn. I feel the same way with some fragrances (for example the pink ForHer EdP by Narciso, wonderful scent, unfortunately I can't stand it, the black EdT on the other hand works). Not so with this Narciso, it is not repulsed by skin and eyes, but perceived as flattering. Admittedly, I have tried some more interesting fragrances in higher price segments, the little white one can't keep up. But it doesn't have to, and for the pleasure it can give in everyday life, the price-performance ratio is not the worst. And many a "niche" is unfortunately not suitable for the office in my case, at least my job means that I have to hold back a little. And so this Narciso finds its justification in my perfume collection.

Orient light
After I may call several Initio bottlings my own and I find many of the fragrances very appealing, now finally at least one bottle should find its way into my home. Very quickly I declared both Psychedelic Love and Absolute Aphrodisiac to my favorites. One morning I put on Absolute Aphrodisiac and sprayed Psychedelic Love on a test strip and put it in the car as I drove to work. I sniffed my arm all day and declared Absolute Aphrodisiac my perfume of choice until I arrived back at my car in the evening and this wonderful scent enveloped me. I was immediately clear, Psychedelic Love is the winner.

Why? Hmmm. Now, unfortunately, I do not belong to the perfumos who could now write a treatise on individual fragrance components, their compositions and progressions. I don't even know what individual components smell like. Psychedelic Love is supposed to smell like myrrh. What does myrrh smell like, please? Even if I had myrrh in front of me right now, I might not even be able to sniff anything. My nose isn't very sensitive, unfortunately (maybe I should consider a septum surgery after all...), but it's quite enough to distinguish "I like" or "I don't like". Well, Psychedelic Love has something oriental for me without immediately overloading me with campiness. Let's call the fragrance semi oriental for that reason. I do like some of the Amouage scents, but often, with few exceptions, they are far too heavy for me despite my rather dull nose. The Initio scents are different. I find them sophisticated, although I hardly notice any major scent progressions. But that doesn't make a good fragrance for me anyway. Psychedelic Love is a balanced composition and embodies sensuality with a lighter character for me. I therefore also do not understand at all that some reviewers perceive a heaviness of the fragrance, although I find durability and sillage quite noteworthy.

Initio tries with its fragrance descriptions to explain a character, which is also found in the name again. It is carried out full-bodied attributions, I do not give a damn. I don't like "I want to be like that" advertising phrases. Fragrances appeal to me or not and I have my own associations. Initio, however, succeeds very well in appealing to me with their DNA (much like the Narciso fragrances). Psychedelic Love is an extremely harmonious composition without any major rough edges and embodies feminine sensuality for me. Overall, I find the fragrance more feminine than masculine, whereas I perceived Absolute Aphrodisiac as a balanced unisex fragrance.

To the bottle:
I have already declared myself a small flacon fetishist, I think only about the visual sensations to develop any interest in fragrances (with very few exceptions such as Delina, terrible design). That's where the Initios hit the mark with me. In addition, the Psychedelic Love bottle is haptically at this point the best bottle in my collection. It feels heavy and silky matte in the hand. It is not black, but held in a very dark plum tone. Very noble and qualitatively 1A.

Make your own picture. Now still have to Initio here, wavering between Rehab and Musk Therapy....
