No, or is it?!
I can agree with many of the previous speakers: for me too, Delina was a love at second, third, fourth sight.... When I tested my first bottling, I kind of liked it, but somehow it also repelled me and seemed way too intense in its initially pungent way. I felt like it just didn't suit me. The bottle alone was and still is not mine at all. I'm not a girlie anymore, pink has never been my color and those playful flourishes suggest a romanticism that is also not mine. Two days later, I put the scent on in the morning and went to work wearing it. I found it increasingly interesting, but the intensity was still too much for me and I tried to reduce the sillage - once in the office. Something wasn't right for me, the scent still made me uncomfortable. I did not feel flattered and underlined in my personality.

I don't know why, but my scent memory kept prompting me to sniff the bottling over the next few days, and to wear Delina when I was alone. This doesn't happen to me often with bottlings that don't appeal to me from the start. Gradually, I began to appreciate the scent and now find myself sniffing the bottle in the morning before showering, so that I can finally apply it after showering. However, I do this very discreetly, because I still do not want to walk as a walking rose through the office.

About the fragrance: for me, the rose dominates, which is flattered by lychee and rhubarb. If I did not know the components of the top note, I would always call the rose, which is coated with a slightly sour touch. As the fragrance develops, Delina does indeed soften a bit, but I smell the character of the opening to the end. For me, the rhubarb and lychee give the perfume its uniqueness to make it stand out among other rose scents. Whether the fragrance is worth the hype, everyone must decide for themselves. As for the durability and sillage, it is in any case top. To the flacon I have already commented, which is also not more beautiful for me, although he was allowed to hold in the meantime move in with me.

I would not have thought at the beginning that Delina still managed to captivate me so. Maybe I'm just discovering a side of me, which I have so far felt as not belonging to me...

Gourmand feel-good fragrance
Now it has also found its way into my home. After I praised the mighty Oud Satin Mood by MFK to the skies, I can do the same for Grand Soir. But differently. Grand Soir doesn't have that punch, is quieter, but still has good sillage and longevity for me. I can't understand the reviews that criticize this very thing. If you love warm perceptible vanilla scents, you have to try Grand Soir. It could pass for a designer fragrance in terms of pleasantness for me, but seems more sophisticated and complex. I don't think the name Grand Soir is well chosen, OSM is more appealing. But that doesn't detract from Grand Soir, sometimes it's the subtle nuances that please and don't "overpower". Grand Soir is one of the fragrances, which I can wear for weeks and enjoy it again and again.
I perceive less progression in the fragrance pyramid, although the fragrance becomes warmer after about 2 hours. Tonka bean and vanilla are very present to me, amber I can not judge, because I do not know how amber smells. I find that the fragrance has its charm in every season, although I would actually use it more in the evening in summer.
In conclusion, Grand Soir has captured my heart. I've tried almost all of MFK's fragrances and can't do anything at all with many of them. However, Grand Soir (and of course Oud Satin Mood :)) makes an exception. I think it hits the zeitgeist and shows its strengths especially now in times of home offices and seclusion. It doesn't need to play to the fore and is still present, flattering. Although I don't appreciate gendered attributes in fragrances, Grand Soir embodies a unisex scent according to conventional expectations, as I imagine it. It is sweet, soft and at the same time strong and deep

Sand dunes in the evening light
Last year I was in Oman. Just in time before the first lockdown. Since I had started a little before to deal with fragrances, I was of course also Amouage a term. I had tested a few samples beforehand, but I hadn't really fallen in love with any of the scents. I still remember how I found the Amouage Duty Free Shop on the return flight chic, but could not bring myself to take a bottle back home. Somehow, though, the label hasn't left me. Just because of the beautiful memories of the holidays (since Morocco and Namibia I'm totally into sandy deserts and get melancholic just thinking about it). So I kept on testing. In the meantime, my sense of fragrance has developed further through active tasting and has perhaps become a little more "mature". In any case, today there are some fragrances from Amouage that I really like (Lyric Woman, Epic Woman, Honour Woman), but as the first Amouage Sunshine Woman has found its way into my home.

Sunshine Woman is not a typical Amouage for me. He does not seem oriental, but he is suitable for everyday and office, which is not the worst choice in this Corona time, if you still have work. It wasn't love at first sight. In one of the comments, Sunshine Woman is compared to fermented fruit. I know exactly what is meant and by reading that critical comment, initially that association didn't let me go either. Nevertheless, Sunshine Woman is much more to me. The fragrance becomes soft and powdery at the latest in the transition from the heart to the base note. It radiates warmth and I feel transported to the golden beige sandy desert just before sunset. The fruity notes are perceptible throughout, but always present themselves in a new way. Initially, the light tobacco was more present for me, but now it blends into the overall fragrance picture without any rough edges. Perhaps it is once again the vanilla that makes some fragrances so attractive to me. In any case, Amouage Sunshine is for my olfactory sensation a year-round wearable fragrance, which also just now in winter "sweetens" the gray days.

The bottle is yellow glittery, the magnetic lid is wonderful. I have long considered whether I invest in 100 ml (to my knowledge, there is no 50 ml bottle of this fragrance), but have not regretted it so far. The fragrance stands for me for a modern Oman, which moves away from the usual traditions and clichés.

So refreshing...
and also more complex than I first thought. Miller et Bertaux do not seem to necessarily attach importance to a fragrance development, which I find in principle but not negative. And yet I perceive just in this fragrance a development, which I find extremely exciting and refined.
But from the beginning:
I bought this perfume only in the fall of this year, actually stupid - when it is so refreshing and intended for the summer. Now it is in these Corona times, yes, that you have to tackle most sporting activities in your own four walls, which is not easy for me at times. Since I own Menta y Menta, I spray myself with it as a motivator - and because I like the scent so much, it often works with the physical exercise afterwards. The fragrance is virtually my pre-reward.
The reviews here are very critical, which concerns the durability and the sillage, I can not confirm so for me in its entirety (maybe I just spray more ...). But I wouldn't want to wear a room-filling perfume in a fitness center or in summer during the day. And you can, as a previous speaker already suggested, just re-spray.
As for the scent: yes, you could associate it with chewing gum or toothpaste, but for me it rather conjures up images of my Moroccan vacation, where tea with fresh mint was offered everywhere and always. Maybe I don't think of toothpaste either, because I hardly notice any sharpness, not even at the beginning. Possibly I'm a bit jaded there because I love spiciness and never go out of my way. I don't detect lemon at all. Coffee I can sniff very briefly, but the bitterness doesn't last long for me. To me, Menta y Menta smells like an aromatic infusion that gets creamier with time. The scent remains minimalist and uncomplicated, but as the minty notes fade, a scent that I don't even know how to describe emerges after hours. If I didn't know better, I'd even say a hint of musk works its way through the soft transparent mint notes. You do indeed have to get close to your wrist after hours to still detect the notes, but it's fun to sniff it again and again. So far, the fragrance is also not "over" to me, which I often experience with many fragrances.
For me, Menta y Menta is an energetic, successful composition, in which I am already looking forward to the next summer, to also be allowed to delight my environment with one or two extra sprays.

Total work of art
I have only recently joined the "sniffers" and so I have been gradually getting to know niche fragrances and individual fragrance components. After trying four different oud scents, I already thought that oud is nothing for me. I did not find the scents wicked (rather burnt) at all, not appealing at all, neither for men nor women. Now the scents I tested were very oud-heavy, not at all cushioned. Actually I had already crossed oud off my list, but I still had to try the OSM. HOW GOOD! A soft OUD! Maybe this is the female note, which is so often highlighted in the comments, although I personally would like the scent on men as well.
You have to be careful when spraying if you do not want to scent the whole area. For me OSM is not a fragrance for work or leisure anyway. However, in the evening, especially now that the days are getting shorter and cooler again, I find it perfect. I don't need a date for that either, I'll be content to enjoy the fragrance myself. I feel snuggled in. Maybe it's the vanilla that makes the oud so soft and warm. (I love vanilla, by the way - Tihota from Indult - wonderful, little detour). I also find the scent a bit soapy, but I don't find that bad at all. Somehow everything fits together.
I do not succeed in sniffing out the individual fragrance components, but that is probably due to me, my lack of experience and perhaps also my nose. But I don't have to analyse a fragrance down to the smallest detail, it should conquer me in its entirety (I find head notes completely overrated) and appeal to my emotions. OSM clearly does that
Although I don't use OSM every day, since I bought it there is a slight whiff of this perfume in my bedding and sometimes in the air when I come home from work. I love it. So, to all of you who don't get along with OUD as much as I do, this perfume makes the eagle wood appear in a new light.
By the way - declare me crazy, but for me the flacon must always be aesthetically pleasing. In this case it is. High quality. To hold the heavy lid in your hand is a pleasure.
