Back to the Future ......La Rive Cabana vs. JPG Le Male
This scent has literally beamed me into the past ... and this although I have NEVER possessed it myself.
A colleague at work wore this fragrance a long time ago, and he just didn't want to tell me which perfume it was, since it must have been sometime between 2001 - 2002, it must have been the UR - Le Male that burned itself into my brain
About 6-8 months ago I got a sample of the original at Douglas . briefly sprayed on, was not my case ........so back to the perfume shelf, where it is still standing now
With the nose close to the arm it smelled like moldy fruit .
Since I have now made good experiences with the La Rive Extreme Story, I have now decided to give more attention to perfumes of this ultra low budget brand .... You can find enough lists in the net, regarding what is to be assigned to which fragrances
Last week I tested this one .... and again this scent of mouldy fruit drew me into the nose ..........only 30 minutes later while I was shopping this irresistible scent suddenly drew me into the nose, which reminded me of that time, first I thought it was someone who had passed me wearing this scent, but no .... It was me who smelled so good!
At home I made the A/B comparison .... and found out that today's Le Male is less pithy than this one, but much sweeter .
Similarly, the fragrances are undisputed, but this cheap one here was the one that reminded me of back then, and NOT the original !
The Sillage is clearly stronger for the first 40 minutes at Le Male, only after that the La Rive has an advantage .... and the original collapses
The durability is also ok, and is on my skin at a good 6 hours ......on clothing it is still present even after days ......
I also think it's great that this La Rive, apart from the first 10 minutes .......doesn't smell synthetic at all .
All in all a great & impressive performance For 'n Appel and 'n Ei

Mmmm.....I can't think of a headline ;)
Who would have thought that one would discover such a fragrance in the clearly arranged repertoire of men's fragrances (Rossmann).
Actually, I wanted to test the "brit rhythm", which is currently on offer ... but it was too boring for me, or expressed differently, I already have several similar sweet/spicy fragrances in my collection
This one was actually too expensive for me with 35 Euro for 30 ml, but testing is ALWAYS possible, as you know .
WOW, what a fresh / woody peppery explosion of scent !
All of a sudden the price was completely FURTHER I just had to have it NOW !!!!
To be honest, I know absolutely nothing comparable, the fragrance has an extremely high recognition value .
It begins as said Fresh / woody peppery, the Sillage is the first 90 minutes quite strong, only after that he is more gentleman like .
After about 2 hours, an oriental touch of spicy sweetness is added .
Now to what that has confused me a little bit, if you look at the comments here so you get the impression that almost everyone here perceives the fragrance differently, from powdery sweet to woody dry, everything is there .
For testing at home I sprayed the fragrance on 2 different parts of the body .
Once on the upper side of the forearm, and in the crook of the arm (VERY RECOMMENDED)
After almost 3 hours I had 2 completely different scents on me
On the arm he has got a slightly feminine powdery sweet note.
In the crook of the arm where it is considerably warmer, it has retained its original woody fresh DNA, even after almost 8 hours
And thus we are then also directly with the durability, which is at least with me at 8 hours, even after 10 hours the smell was still easily perceptible
Ps . In the first 40 minutes I recognize a "slight" similarity to the HORIZON by Davidoff.
Whoever finds the scent OKAY will love this one !

You love him or hate him...
...exactly the impression this forum gave me.
In autumn last year I got a sample at Douglas by chance ...and I was fascinated from the first second on !
Since I personally would rather wear the fragrance in the spring/summer months, I have now added it
After some research in the net I found out that there are now 4 versions of SAUVAGE .
Yesterday it was now so far, and I have sprayed all 4 versions, Very Coll Spray / EDT / EDP & Parfum .
That was quite a challenge for my nose, I can tell you.
I take now times the EDP as a starting point, the smell begins VERY fresh & spicy ... I personally like the tickle in the nose. Later so after 20 - 30 minutes a slightly woody / smoky vanilla note is added and the fragrance becomes a bit more pleasing & darker. But the freshness remains throughout the entire fragrance process, and for me that is easily 8-9 hours! In the background I also take a very light but unobtrusive sweetness was .
The EDT begins a bit fresher & also much more intense, I find it almost a little scratchy. Furthermore, I miss the vanilla note that I found so great at the EDP, and which makes the fragrance regarding the season, actually, universally usable, the Sillage is clearly more violent at the EDT, but the fragrance does not last so long (6-7 hours). Furthermore, one should be a little more careful when dosing with EDT !
The VERY COOL SPRAY begins a bit fresher, and in the top note I only smell a little Sauvage DNA
After about 20 minutes it smells very similar to the EDT , only the scratchy one is not so pronounced , you could call it a watered down version of the EDT .....actually the right thing for all those who find the EDT too violent & the EDP too dark
The PARFUM is for me a winter version of the EDP .... it is still a trace darker / oriental and also a bit sweeter, I think that will probably be the Tonka bean. For me a clear candidate for the winter 20/21, only unfortunately the Sillage is VERY close to the skin with the perfume.
I like the EDP I have now decided for the current best, furthermore it looks a little more masculine than the EDT .
After many years of searching for a new signature scent I finally found it, because "my all time favorite" YVES SAINT LAURENT Rive Gauche is no longer available (2003 version)

Ohhhh...an eau de toilette from Gillette ;)
No other scent I have sprayed on myself at DM (or anywhere else) as often as this one .
The reason is simple, the top note !
The fragrance begins enormously fresh with an intense citrus / mint note, with the mint predominant .
This smells great, but not necessarily like a men's perfume
It takes 30 minutes until it is gone, then a note comes out which I know only too well, namely the shaving gel from Gillette
The fragrance gets woody/spicy notes, and a pleasant tart sweetness.
Quite honestly .......suddenly I find this perfume class, and can not stop sniffing at me
The shelf life "on the hair" is typically about 5 hours for Jaguar. On clothing the scent is still clearly noticeable after 3 days .
The Sillage is heavy at the beginning, but becomes more pleasant after about 20 minutes
Price / performance is TOP .

... is apparently still in production :)
It was this noble & discreet looking box that drew my attention to this perfume at Rossmann. Unfortunately there was no tester, but at 15 Euro for 75 ml I dared a blind purchase .
I just went in here and saw a scent rating of 7.4, so it can't be that bad !
I was not yet sitting properly in the car when I sprayed this perfume on myself ......the anticipation is somehow always the most beautiful thing
The prelude is primarily fresh & spicy, not bad, but now also nothing spectacular .
After about 30 - 40 minutes, woody/leathery notes are added, and the fragrance not only starts to really please me, no .... it also reminds me of another fragrance.
A few minutes I needed, then it occurred to me, "Emporio Armani...lui/il/he/él/男" ...exactly to this perfume this fragrance reminds me.
And if you look at the pyramid of scents of both perfumes, you will see that I am not so wrong with my assessment
In addition to these spicy / woody / leathery notes, the fragrance has both a certain fresh and subtle sweetness
The durability is on my skin so in the range +-6 hours .
Now to the Sillage :
There are scents where after spraying on you feel as if you had been hit with a sledgehammer ....and then there is AIGNER IN LEATHER ...the scent caresses its wearer very gently with a feather .
And although the scent is not very intense, it is very well released from the skin, it surrounds you with a kind of aura
Sitting in my Passat Variant, after spraying this scent on it, I felt as if I was sitting in a Porsche Panamera with full leather interior .... I love it, and am glad to have discovered it for myself!
