The epitome of mystical and confident!
Reflectively considered, there are phases in which I turn me smell-technically in the circle.
As an oriental and especially gourmand lover, I deal mostly with heavy and sweet scents. So I constantly smelled compositions that were similar, but that was simply because I clearly find myself in this fragrance category.
Anyway, I needed a fragrance at this stage that was out of the ordinary, I wanted to think outside the box again and expand my horizons, I wanted something new, something deep, something confident, something extravagant and something creative, but still something wearable.
I scrolled through Parfumo for a bit, as I so often do in my spare time, but this time with the goal of finding just as much of a fragrance composition.
My search led me relatively soon to Stephane Humbert Lucas, a painter, poet and perfumer, if it should be now about creativity, I should be right here.
For a long time his creative and above all extravagant, but very magnificent flacons were buzzing around in my head.
Black Gemstone should be it accordingly.
Resins, incense and woods is all I knew about it in advance, and I must admit that I can only conditionally like fragrances with incense, so Black Gemstone had to get over this obstacle first.
I now prepared for my bottling and adjusted to the challenging fragrance and first developed a cautious and above all an objective attitude, which I can also recommend to you.
Very carefully I approached my wrist, on which the fragrance was applied.
Well, different halt, that's what I felt in the first few minutes, which was not negative at all, so I wanted something yes!
Dry and rough were my first perceptions, in which it also remained for the time being.
A few days later.
A nice dinner in the city, alone with my lady is what the evening had in store for me.
It was snowing the temperatures which were below freezing and the bitter cold wind which made it seem even colder emotionally than it already was, a freezing cold winter day as it is written in the book, on days like this I like to reach for sweet woody scents which have a warming effect and wrap around me like a cloak, just not on this day!
This must be the time, I thought, to let Black Gemstone get to my skin.
I held the bottling in my hand and looked at it thoughtfully for a moment, but Black Gemstone was already waiting to finally be released like chained growling dogs.
So I ventured, two sprays left and right on the back of my neck, I let it wash over me and immediately it began to take over the helm of my radiance.
It's the myrrh that takes center stage with resinous nuances and a woody base, and the frankincense that gets some lightness and effervescence from the lemon, so it's tamed and restrained, so it never gets overly loud and provocative, but it's still present.
It was a great fit for this situation, creating a mystical aura of elegance and profound curiosity, and that's exactly how I started this cold but eventful evening along with this quick-witted and very grown-up scent.
Black Gemstone can not be persuaded at any stage of his time to become loose and sweet, not even by his tonka bean, which he carries according to the fragrance pyramid but clearly unrecognizable with him, he remains in every second that he is present, dead serious, serious and quick-witted gloomy.
It is undoubtedly a fragrance that elbows out in the mainstream and draws attention to itself, yet it is not a troublemaker.
A fragrance which drove my olfactory experience, a fragrance which I trusted, which surprised me, which exudes pride and elegance, which should not simply be perceived but given time, time to be understood the ultimately I was rewarded with the trust and time I gave it, with fascination.
Black Gemstone, a fragrance that polarizes and provokes, but for me in a positive sense.

More than just vanilla cake!
If you spend time in the perfume world and especially on Parfumo, there are fragrances that sooner or later you can not get past.
Exactly the same thing happened to me with Ani, early on my perfume journey I noticed him, but always made a completely unconscious bow around him with the thoughts in the back of my mind "I'll test it on occasion", the filling, however, was then just under a year later, who does not know? :D
Well, be that as it may, Ani I ordered, I prepared myself so already on the fragrance, by me again exactly the fragrances of the head, heart and base notes under the magnifying glass took and still some comments and statements about Ani read, to learn even more precisely, in which fragrance direction Ani moves and what I have to expect.
According to the information Ani would have to be very predestined for me as a gourmand lover, I thought. Dem is also so, as I can now already betray, but to this now more in my review of the fragrance.

Ani has the vanilla in the foreground, but there are also light citrus and light green notes playing along, which at no point fade, as I found, and thus give the fragrance depth and round it off perfectly with creamy light woods.
Ani is sometimes described as a vanilla/lemon cake, I can tell you Ani is more than that, you might think Ani is a vanilla cake embellished and thus pimped with lots of gratinated all sorts of things like bergamot slices, gentle cardamom, ginger bits and powdered sugar.
Ani is not a classic heavy vanilla fragrance that is overloaded with too much sweetness, as I find, Ani is a citrusy vanilla fragrance that is very sensual, pleasing and luxurious and is at no time too heavy or too dominant, as I was also allowed to experience from my environment!
Probably, however, the dosage is crucial.
In the office I avoid Gourmand fragrances and even less I wear them in the summer however you all know it, you have a new fragrance, a new bottle and you want to test it immediately in everyday life, besides, the bergamot administers the fragrance anyway some effervescence, I thought to myself, so I administered just a single careful spray over my head at 6 o'clock in the morning before I went to work. Then, just before the end of work at around 3pm, I received a compliment from a colleague, at which point I didn't even notice the scent myself - but it was obviously present nonetheless. I would like to emphasize that I applied only one spray and we are talking here about an extrait de parfum.
The durability I can highlight for this reason only positive.
I have fallen in love with this wonderful fragrance so much that meanwhile a bottle stands next to me in my fragrance shelf and smiles at me, while I just lose these beautiful words about him here.
To convince me of a fragrance in such a way, so that I give a 10 out of 10, must already happen really tremendous!
However, this is the only fragrance that I would even give a 12 out of 10 from over hundreds of tested fragrances - exclamation point.
