The sweet summer nights
This year we are spoiled by summer - and I enjoy it. Almost every day there is something going on here, not least because the children are finally on holiday. Sleep late, have breakfast on the balcony between the colourful flower pots, hop in the pool in the garden in the afternoon or play on the water playground and have a delicious dinner in the evening. Of course we sit down with the whole family in the beer garden or on a beautiful summer terrace and enjoy a delicious meal. Life could be worse - so it can stay that way!

In exactly this time Daisy Love accompanies me, whom I discovered only by chance. Marc and I, we're not really best friends. Daisy in the original bites me in the nose, all the flankers smell so insignificant, Lola gives me nausea, and Decadence is even my personal hate scent. Aaabut I was presented with this one in the perfumery and was thrilled right away. Sure, he's not new - but he doesn't have to be. It's not my first summer and my first beer garden visit.

Daisy Love reminds me of Poison Girl EdT, just as wonderfully sweet and pleasantly powdery. I don't know how cloudberries and tree marguerites smell - a little fruity and a little flowery...? Besides, one could get the impression from the notes that the perfume is woody - but it's not, at least not on my skin. Durability and Sillage are good, it lasts a few hours on skin and clothes, but does not become too penetrating and can also be worn in the office. He does not go through a great development, he gets a little softer at best. If I didn't know better, I would have bet that vanilla or tonka would be in the base note. But that's not the case - yet Daisy Love is a wonderful summer companion for everyone who likes sweet, non-Gourmand fragrances.

Between too much and too little
Summer in April - already in the first spring months we sweated at 30 degrees. And I chose Bloom as my first summer scent this year. Was that a wise decision? I don't know - but now at the end of June it is empty and I want to write a few lines about it.

Bloom is not really a prototypical candidate for the summer, but it is much too heavy for me - autumn would suit him much better. The fragrance has something tropical and floral about it, the description says "creamy", but I wouldn't sign that in any way. The flowery one is not a bit fresh or classically-groomed, but very sultry - you feel a bit like in a palm garden or greenhouse with it. That's almost too much at hot temperatures.

The bottle also looks very modern and the peach pink makes it so light and pastel - Bloom is not that either. The bottle should have been much more kitschy according to the scent it contained, so moderate in the 90s - but not so straightforward and clean. The colour is associated with a fruity fragrance that is certainly not found in the bottle.

Right after spraying Bloom is very strong and one expects a hammer-like Sillage and durability - but in my eyes there is too little of it. It smells briefly and intensively of the indicated flower potpourri, but then evaporates within a few hours and is no longer perceptible at all in the evening. On his body he has completely evaporated, on his clothes you can perhaps still guess him. That in turn is too weak for me for a designer fragrance.

A propos Potpourri - do you know these dried plant parts, which were moistened with a scented oil and were supposed to make the room smell...? That's what Bloom reminds me of. For me, the perfume is not a candidate to buy, but he was too much of a pain in my ass with his flowery heaviness and green notes. I like flowers interpreted fresh or sweet, perhaps with accents of vanilla or soft woods. This is just too much flower embedded in too little for me

Don't be so hasty!
La Vie Est Belle has never pleased me in the original and also no Flanker was something for me. But when it comes to perfume, I'm generally set up to test everything - from three euro discounters to mainstream or limited high-end perfumes to the 100th cannibalization of L'Oréal or Coty. There's just nothing I'm categorically opposed to in the first place. You have to dive for pearls!

And so it was here. L'Éclat stood in "my" perfumery on the shelf with the novelties and so I sprayed him on. Hmm, I like this one surprisingly well! And I don't think he has anything to do with LVEB anymore. There's something so scratchy about her that I just can't smell on myself. I can't call it that exact, I've already been asked by others that I smell funny-obtrusive when I've played the original. It must be one of those skin chemistry things. But to be honest, the fact that every third woman in the subway smells like this doesn't necessarily make the perfume more attractive for me.

The little sister, on the other hand, is completely out of line. Instead of pears and pralines we get mandarin and vanilla served here. Immediately after spraying on, the top note comes to lightly pungent, but only for a few minutes - then the delicate jasmine and the orange blossoms appear. But I like vanilla best of all. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the most beautiful vanilla interpretations I know. And I love vanilla and have already tested a lot!

The vanilla is very soft and tender-sweet, supported by the soft sandalwood. Exactly the opposite occurs with L'Éclat as with the standard LVEB: My skin chemistry harmonizes wonderfully with this fragrance, it needs skin, I feel with it really pleasantly wrapped and safe. The durability is hammer-like, especially on the clothes. The scent is clearly perceptible for several days, the vanilla base note really remains on textiles forever. I had sprayed it on my blazer, which I hung out to air after wearing it - but L'Éclat could still sniff it.

So give the fragrance a chance, if you like Posion Girl EdT or Mon Guerlain for example - they go a bit in this powdery-sweet direction. He's a beautiful gourmand, if you let him work. And for me it is even something very special because of the vanilla pod, although you wouldn't think that of LVEB at all!

Flamingos and Colas
Amor Amor L'Eau had been on my wish list for quite some time, because I am a self-confessed cola light lover and was simply curious about the fragrance.

Some time ago I was at Kaufhof with my mother, she was looking for clothes and shoes, but there was no sense at all. So I spent my time in the perfumery department and immediately a box caught my attention. Flamingos! With flamingos and unicorns my studied brain briefly stops and sends only one impulse: Buy me. So I got hold of Amor Amor L'Eau Flamingo, which comes in a beautiful pink bottle and an even more beautiful outer packaging. Fun Fact: Flamingos actually stink terribly, how funny it is to dedicate a limited edition bottle to them... But here probably only the outer values of the graceful little animals count.

Now I have almost emptied L'Eau Flamingo and would like to write a few lines about it. For me, this perfume is a classic spring fragrance, because it is already sparkling, but also brings a beautiful sweetness. I can see the grapefruit first, it brings the freshness. Then the iced cola strikes, I always have to think of this cola ice in the cardboard tube to squeeze out. Do you know which one I mean...?

But the Flamingo doesn't get really flowery or even vanilla with me - it stays pleasantly in the background as a small refreshment. At the moment I wear it constantly in the office, because it doesn't bother anyone, but you always smell so nice and well-groomed with it. So you won't find any absolutely spectacular scent here, but something different - because I find cola sweetness unusual in a perfume!
