In a tropical greenhouse in Sicily
Today I would like to write about Gucci Bloom, as I was able to enjoy a sample by shopping online. I didn't really like the flanker Gucci Bloom Nettare die Fiori, somehow it was too humid and too heavy for me. With Gucci Bloom it's different. I feel transported directly into a tropical greenhouse. There's jasmine in its purest form, there's tuberose, but without the smell of Hypnotic Poison, rather creamy soft, and there's something exotic that I can't quite place. Like exotic tropical flowers. The sun is shining. Insects are mistaken. The jungle is full of strange plants that no one has ever seen before. In the shade lies a leopard, lazy and majestic. This scent is creamy, flowery, not too light, not too heavy, and appears very noble. I imagine the wearer like this: no raffia skirt, no coconut bikini top, to continue weaving the tropical-exotic image from above, no. A dark-haired lady with elegant chignon, in addition a white silk blouse and large white pearl earrings like the girl with the pearl earring from Vermeer. She sits on a terrace overlooking the sea off Sicily and sips an espresso. In any case, this perfume evokes associations of the (sub)tropics in me. Yet it is unmistakably European. (Some may contradict me.) The sillage is strong. Gucci Bloom is definitely for a lady, and I like it! I think it is a versatile perfume, suitable for business meetings as well as for dinner or theater. Who would have thought that one day I would like a Gucci fragrance! Gucci Rush - too sweet, Gucci Bamboo - too boring, Envy Me - too meaningless, and as I said Gucci Bloom Nettare di Fiori - too heavy. And now this! However, I give Gucci Bloom 7.5 points, as I'm not too big a tuberoses fan.

Luxury holiday in a bottle
So, actually I should work or study, but I am so distracted by the great scent of Soleil Blanc that I can't help but write a comment. Tom Ford is to blame! :D

Yesterday I got hold of a generous filling in the department store for a detailed test. The benefactor was a friendly salesman from the Dior stand whom I asked about Dolce&Gabanna Dolce Garden, which is said to smell of coconut and flowers. Since they didn't have Dolce Garden, he let me sniff Soleil Blanc. It smelled extremely pleasant and well-formed on the paper strip. The price tag made me swallow, though. $325 for the full size (100 ml). The salesman winked and said that there was also a travel size (10 ml) for $60, and asked if I wanted to have a bottling.

And so it is that I am now enveloped in the enchanting scent of Soleil Blanc, and can't really concentrate on my work at all because I have to snort my wrist again and again. In the beginning it smelled beautifully of lemon cream, flowers and coconut, simply delicious. After a few minutes the lemon cream smell disappeared and I am now wrapped in a veil of radiant flowers and coconut. I clearly smell Ylang-Ylang, similar to the Ylang-Ylang shower gel with real essential oil of Palmolive. However, Ylang-Ylang does not stand out monolithically, but is nicely interwoven with the other components. Fortunately, jasmine and tuberose are not sultry, but just enough to give the fragrance a certain weight. Add to that a note like white chocolate. I wonder if that's the tonka bean And the delicious coconut note simply makes me think of luxury holidays. I am at Waikiki Beach...Turquoise sea and white beach...The sound of the sea and bright sunshine...Prada bikini and sunscreen... I sit under a parasol at the sea and enjoy the idyll while sipping coconut water...I think many people have written about the beach and holidays here and I feel exactly the same way.

This fragrance exudes luxury. Very bold and offensive. Yet he remains charming, with a wink of the eye. Designer clothing with a logo, but without looking nouveau riche and chic, like these Gucci belts with the huge logo buckles, of which there are many fakes in circulation... I am thinking more of a classic quilted black Chanel handbag with the two stylish interwoven Cs. Prestige and status with a certain style. The Sillage is surprisingly soft and gentle for a Tom Ford fragrance (just think of the Sillage monster Tobacco Vanilla), but the scent is very well perceived. And to the durability: I have been wearing the fragrance for 5 hours now and it has faded a little bit, but still radiates well.

To the unisex topic: sorry men, but I can't imagine this scent on you. He smells too feminine for that

I really like this smell, and I'm fighting with myself. I like luxury, but more of the reserved kind. I am not a logo holder. I'm thinking Chanel No. 19 or Gris Dior. And I still have the bottling of Wisteria & Lavender by Jo Malone. Soleil Blanc or Wisteria & Lavender, that is the question here! This decision should not be easy for me.

I very much hope I have done justice to this fragrance with my commentary. Greetings and have a good week!

Noble & Adult...
...that's what this scent could be called.

Today, following the recommendation of the dear Parfuma GirlofNow, I went to the noble department store Nordstrom in the USA in search of a certain fragrance. D&G's Dolce Garden is said to smell wonderfully creamy like vanilla, coconut, and flowers, and that sounds really good! Anyway, unfortunately they did not have this scent at Nordstrom. And so, following the recommendation of the nice salesman from the Dior booth, I tested different fragrances: Mon Paris by YSL, Rose Prick and Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford, and the limited Lavender series by Jo Malone. In the end, I was really taken with Wisteria & Lavender and Soleil Blanc, so that I took home a bottle of both fragrances for extensive testing, and at this moment I am sitting at my desk, Wisteria & Lavender on my arm

In the prelude the scent clearly smells of lavender, but not of the men's shaving lotion variety, but rather Provence! A beautiful, unsweet and tart lavender note that transports you to the sunny south of France. I only know this kind of lavender note from L'Occitane. After a few minutes the fragrance settles and becomes even rounder and finer. There are clearly floral notes, but also here very unsweetly implemented, so that the perfume reminds me of my beloved Chanel No. 19. I don't mean that the fragrances are similar, but the attitude, the charisma is very similar: adult and noble. In the base, the fragrance is beautifully cushioned by our sweet musk. I find this fragrance round, soft, bright, clean and harmonious. He has something of a successful CEO, but remains stylish and discreet. By the way, the CEO can be female or male! This fragrance needs a formal appearance as a frame. Jeans and T-shirt do not fit him at all, rather a white shirt and chic leather shoes. It is not for very young women, but can be worn from the mid-20s on (in my opinion). I find this fragrance very successful and I am thinking about buying it. Since I am also very fond of Soleil Blanc, the decision is not so easy.

I'm happy to write the first comment on this fragrance and I'm very curious to hear what you other perfumas and perfumos think about it! A warm greeting from the USA!

La Belle Noire
A lovely Parfuma here on Parfumo, who recommended La petite robe noire to me, brought this fragrance to my attention. She insisted that I have to test him because he was so great. And so yesterday I went to the perfumery with the big turquoise D to test it. The super friendly saleswoman explained to me, how with Chanel and Dior fragrances you don't have to wait after spraying on Guerlain, because the fragrance is immediately there. And she was right! The fragrance is present immediately after spraying. There's no need for tons of alcohol to evaporate. I was delighted. It smelled of these delicious huge black cherries, nicely rounded off by the liquorice. Quite sweet, but still dark and mysterious. The creamy almond and vanilla that followed harmonized perfectly with the cherry. It smelled of said delicious cherries with almond cream and vanilla. And indeed I could sniff a little musk in the background and - great - the smoky tea! It is precisely the liquorice, the almond and the smoky teeny note that ensure that La petite robe noire does not degenerate into a petty amniotic fluid. I find this fragrance to be an all-round success. Suitable for the cold season, evening and black wardrobe. I think it radiates something elegant, fine, extravagant and at the same time dark and warm. To make a long story short, I did the saleswoman my favor and that I will wish myself this fragrance for Christmas. She then kindly gave me a small sample so that I could also get the right version. This morning I sprayed myself with joy some of the sample and was immediately wrapped again in this wonderfully dark and feminine cherry scent. And what can I say? At lunch I promptly got a compliment from my mother that I would smell so good and the scent would suit me so well. And even my father, who often finds perfume too strong, found it smells good.

Conclusion: with La petite robe noire you have a wonderfully elegant, feminine and dark fragrance at hand that fits perfectly into the evening.

Creamy dessert dream
Sooo! Finally I have Signorina Ribelle! I am very happy to be able to write the first comment on this fragrance here on Parfumo. The pink square bottle with bow and spherical pink-golden cap is already beautiful! It almost borders on kitsch, but I think it is a dream in red-pink and looks very high quality and noble. With the colourful bottle and the name Signorina Ribelle, "the rebel", I had expected a provocative fragrance that challenged me. But that's not the case at all. In the beginning, a wonderful intense mélange of silky, brilliant white flowers and delicate creamy and pleasantly sweet vanilla ice cream garnished with a piece of fresh pear enchants. The pear disappears after some time, but the longer you wear this fragrance, the creamier, creamier and simply better it gets. This vanilla ice cream note is simply delicious! I find this fragrance radiates an incredible femininity, security and warmth, like a hug. In the further course the Sillage gets closer and closer to the skin, but this does not detract from the fragrance's fragrance. In my environment I got positive feedback to Signorina Ribelle throughout. No matter if man or woman, it was always "Oh!" and "Mhhhhhhhhh!" or "Boah smells good!" or "Delicious!". A friend of mine tried it out and promptly ordered it herself. She says Signorina Ribelle is her new favorite fragrance.

Conclusion: A flattering, seductive feminine fragrance that knows how to inspire. Test it out!
