Delicious
I only sampled it a couple of times because of the price, but I'm going to purchase this one for sure...
People who say this is not a gourmand perfume I think are crazy!! (no hate of course)
Opening : To me the opening is citrusy and really smells like a cruffin pastry with rum and dried berries, which is an incredible, completely edible smell, I could eat my arm off with this opening! I dont get much of lavender at all, but it probably amplifies the other scents well.
Mid notes + Base : After around half an hour it becomes more of a sweet vanilla and cinnamon scent, but not too sweet in any way, a very mature not sickening and again edible smell. The citrus and rum notes fade away naturally into the cinnamon and caramel, and after an hour or two the smell becomes, on my skin, completely full of vanilla and caramel, still much like an amazing pastry you would love to eat, and not overly sweet.
The longlivety and sillage are unfortunately not the best, which makes me think it is a bit of an overpriced perfume. After an hour or two it becomes a skin scent, amazing but pretty weak. Honestly though.. I will buy it anyway just to smell myself, because this is a great easy to breathe gourmand perfume.
The notes merge one into another so naturally and easily, just a beautiful experience!
Easily recommend to any sweet or gourmand lover, and even for a beginner, as it is not overly sickening in power or sweetness. Would say that this is a "female" scent for sure, but honestly, would love to smell that on anybody.

Sweet floral Goutal
Very fresh, sweet and floral, with a hint of citrus on my skin, I love the dry down of this perfume, feels very old fashioned and beautiful.
This one is a first, and blind purchase from Annick Goutal, and I must say I have to try more. they are definetly unique, and dont have that "modern" sharp soapy smell drying down.
For me Un Matin d'Orage is a very floral perfume, although the top notes are definetly green and somewhat citrusy. When I first smelled it, I wasn't sure it's my cup of tea, I really wanted a white floral scent, but wasn't expecting it to be so strong. But, after a few uses I grew to love this one, escpesially in cold winter for some reason, the sweetness is much more pleasant, just like with ice cream...
On me it dries down floraly sweet, almost into a candy like scent, with secondary citrucy notes in the air, and after a few uses i couldn't get enough of it. That being said it's definetly a cold weather scent for me, in summer it can be overwhelming.
I would recommend it for sweet perfume lovers, who really enjoy floral smells.
The sillage is moderate, on myself I can feel its scent throughout the day, and after a night of sleep it can still linger, but people around you won't smell it strongly if at all after a few hours.
Overall I was pleasantly pleased with this brand, and with my blind purchase, and will definitely explore more of it. Great floral scent.

Easy buy - suits most
I bought it when I was just out of school, and still have it, because I started using perfumes daily only recently, so I have a lot of years this being my only scent, and still being used a lot.
To me this is an all year rounder for sure.. In the winter and mid fall I definitely smell the more cedary almost minty notes, which is really refreshing with the citrus, in cold air. The smell becomes crisp yet gentle, and I love it.
In the summer/ spring I like that its not overly sweet, and refreshing in the heat, the sweeter notes come through more to me, and I can smell the pear.
Mid notes are flowery, but my nose doesnt detect much of the flower scent, comparing to some jasmine scents I smelled, this perfume definetly isn't flowery on my skin. On me it dries down very citrusy and cedary.
The lasting power is mediocre, but to people who can easily get nauseated it is a positive thing, sillage is good only for the first hour or two, then it become a personal close to skin scent.
I want to get into sweet fragrances, but I still am much of a citrusy minty lover at heart.
Would reccomend this one as a safe bet to people who dont like sweet or overly powering scents, a good start.
Definetly less of a teenager scent, but honestly can be worn by anyone, even some daring men.
Overall this is one of my more favored Versace scents, and is dear to my heart.
Affordable and easy to wear.

Love at first sniff - good floral coffee
I was debating between purchasing ristretto or intense cafe, and seeing how people say intense cafe doesn’t smell much of coffee , I’m glad with my decision.
I never had a rosy perfume , or a coffee one for that matter , so this review is probably gonna be helpful to first timers like me.
The moment I sprayed it, I got an amazing, black, coffee smell , with a very strong rosy scent.
Over the first hour, the coffee laid back, and roses became more dominant. After a few hours though , the rosy coffee scent became softer, sweeter, smoother, caramely, vanilly and delightful.
I love this scent. This is definitely a cold weather one, or if in the summer, an evening one. Not because it smells bad in hot weather necessarily , but because it’s very classy and heavy, in my humble opinion.
As for the classic montale scent, it is there , but very, very mild, I can barely sense it. That being said, if you don’t like it, you might get annoyed.
Overall, I recommend to never overspray with Montale, because the silage and longevity is great.
A great unisex. Very smooth, rosy, coffee scent, that on my skin becomes sweeter over time.
Definitely a winter staple to my expanding collection.

Easy buy for sweet lovers
I'm a beginner in the sweet perfume corner, and it is my first Montale perfume, so to me it was definitely an overwhelming experience, at first.
First of all, DO NOT OVERSPRAY THIS!! And I mean it, because even with two sprays your nose can be easily overwhelmed, but with a light touch it is a great experience!
This is a very linear scent, you definitely smell vanilla and apricot, all the way, from the beginning to an end. That being said it is not a "warm" evening vanilla, it is a bright and sugary vanilla if you are wondering. Same with the apricot, this is not a fresh apricot scent, it's more sugary, candy, apricot jam, so if you are looking for a natural one, this ain't it.
I always heard about the signature Montale synthetic scent in every bottle, and I definitely sense it, but not in a bad or strong way.
At the beggining the scent is very strong and sweetly fresh, but after an hour or two ( if not oversprayed) it becomes a more subtle, still very noticeable, but "easy" and more natural scent. And that's why I came to like it very much. I would say on my skin, the sugary apricot is the first note, but vanilla is very much there, and after a few good hours the vanilla becomes a bit warmer, and overtakes the apricot just by a bit.
I wouldn't say this is a crazy gourmand scent, but this is a sweet pleasure.
To me, this is definitely a "female" scent, but who cares eh. If you like sugary fruity candy smell, this is an easy buy. Just be careful with the amount.
Over all very pleased, and ready to explore more of Montale, and sweet scents in general.
PS : I have been also layering it with basically any perfume I have / am testing , as well , goes great with most! ( a part from sweet perfumes IMO ) So just overall a great add on of a perfume!!
