not really great...
Not much to say here, this was the first fragrance I owned as a teenager. Cheap, pleasant, but also slightly forgettable. It does the job of being a light, inoffensive lemony fresh spray upon initial application, which settles into a sweet, almost powdery dry down. Not bad, nor ground breaking but that's about it.

Masterpiece... The Original "Bad Girl"
Typical example of a fragrance that you need to let grow on you before you can fully appreciate it! Fist time I tried this... a very strong, very dirty, almost bitter vanillic leather aroma hit me and I found it quite pungent and almost overbearing. But after a few days, and other applications... I really had to agree with everyone here in that this is quite an elegantly made, beautifully blended, sophisticated fragrance, and I can see why many call this a masterpiece. There is not much more to add to what others have said, but I would say to first time users please give it a few tries on your skin and leave it the time it needs to fully appreciate it. Trust me, if you do this you will be rewarded, but be patient and you will see why so many people call this a masterpiece.

Zesty Salad Dressing?
Fresh and Spicy! I must admit that whilst this perfume may be well made and such, I personally found it quite linear. The pepper, ginger and bergamot give it the zingy opening, and the anise comes through to back them up. But that's about it. It stays like that throughout. A fresh, zesty, spicy scent like citrus (lime) rind and pepper, and I will admit that unless people buy or try this fragrance with a specific intention to have that fresh citrus, peppery/gingery feel and nothing else, they will be disappointed as it goes no further. If that's what you're looking for, you'll love it. Otherwise it's not worth the price.

Classic, elegant masculine.
I first tried this as I heard it was similar to Pasha by Cartier. In fact I am told they are identical. This is an example of a typically deep masculine fougere. It is quite recognisable and gives the impression of being mature, refined and sophisticated. To me it is the kind of smell always associated with an elegant and mature gentleman. The deep herbal opening dries down to a dark spicy aromatic skin scent which still makes an impression well after application. A scent which still manages to be both fresh and maturely refined at the same time. An unmistakable elegant masculine fragrance. Well worth a try and very different from any of the forgettable new modern examples of trash out there.

From another era...
An extremely fragrant, prominent and classy floral! I have tried the vintage version, and I must say this is what real perfume should smell like! In fact, my father once made very pure perfume out of fresh rose petals and the finished product looks and smells exactly the same as the vintage version of this! Very old school but an absolutely superb floral scent. This is what a floral should smell like, and in fact, this is what a woman should wear. Definitely a mature and classy floral, not a girly one. However I have only tried the vintage so this whole review is based on that version only.
