The Sultan's Amber
This is a superb scent. My first impressions upon sampling was a very herbal, medicinal vibe which immediately hit me upon application. However this is not a bad thing, as it gradually settled into a very warm and aromatic herbal dry down. I think this scent is very very well made and it reminds me of incense and herbs (but not in an overwhelming way), just in a really well blended sense. Depending on your tastes. I would suggest trying or sampling at least once to appreciate this (especially in the dry down). Extremely well made. If you appreciate Serge Lutens I think this is one of his best.

Dark, mossy wood. Intriguing!
This is definitely an aromatic fougère fragrance. The dark woody notes make it unique and interesting to wear. I must admit I was turned off by the mention of the whole "barbershop" vibe. But now I'm sure that this one stands out as a very dark and greenish woody fragrance that will suit most users and can be worn as a day or night time scent. I find it an intriguing one to wear and would certainly recommend it.

Dry wood, cedar wood, sandalwood... and even polished wood!
Much has been said about the sandalwood element here. Whilst I do detect the sandalwood vibe I must admit it is faint. I do notice the other woods here being more prominent, such as the cedar wood etc... Overall it probably shouldn't be looked at as an iconic sandalwood fragrance. Definitely a prominent woody scent but not exclusively a sandalwood one. Overall it's warm, very pleasant and the dry-down happens to be very nice. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to go anywhere else apart from smelling like high quality, freshly polished wood. In that way it's quite a linear fragrance. However worth a try, just not the masterpiece others claim it to be. But it is elegant and refined, definitely. If wood is your thing, you will enjoy, but it's not in any way ground-breaking in my opinion.

Vanilla Fudge
Being not used to the world of gourmands, I must admit this one took me by surprise by how sweet it was. Very much like toffee candy was my first impression, or vanilla fudge. This is the sweetest gourmand I have tried. I could see how this could be appreciated by many people. I myself would love to smell this on someone. However it is the very best kind of fragrance if sweet, sugary, cloying gourmands are your thing. To someone else this could be a masterpiece in that field. To me, it's just caramel toffee candy. But still it would smell nice on the right person, of that I'm sure.

Warm, woody floral. Unusual and inviting...
I suppose the easiest way to describe this would be a warm, earthy (with slightly herbal opening) spicy scent. However the floral quality gives it a soft warmth (especially in the dry down). An unoffensive, warm scent that lingers and shines on your skin. A different scent among so many.
