Statement of the obvious
Tobacco additives, plus vanilla plus tobaco leafs, everlasting, sillage wise. Tom Ford delivers the right value after its prices, consumers looking for the right bang for their bucks won't feel cheated.

Of course, this comes at a risk - the blend is challenging for a shot in excess can turn the wearer into a tobacco vanille difusor.

The blend plays according to rules that do not apply to classical perfumery; TV can be a good thing if you think of the classics as dated and boring. On the other hand, a bad thing if you consider these contemporary offerings an expression of a world sunk in clutter.

As always, you choose.

Never ending sweetness
Tested it on a blotter first: sweet, mildly complex, notes I could not identify.

Tested on the skin: very strong projection thirty minutes after application - a friend of mine I was having coffee with complained of "that strong smell of perfume" (he did not use the word "cologne").

A sweetness I could not relate to smells of nature (maybe fig, maybe pepper) nor aromatic references kept present on the skin after a morning shower, some 16 hours after asking for the test. Projection is mild but notorious.

No ozonic nor aquatic notes so far. As to the SA and as far as my experience is, the original and this are not related at all.

This is the case of a blend in which less is more; a 100 ml bottle will last a lifetime, more than two tiny sprays will suffocate the wearer and those around him, besides the fact longevity will be more than needed.

Soft and discreet floral blend for men...
that can be easily worn by women.

I cannot detect the clairy sage, the narcisus and the rosewood are easier to perceive... to a point. The feeling to the nose is that of fresh topnotes followed by soft floral accords staying close to the skin for the rest of the journey.

It is a nice composition than does not play along the criteria of offerings by other houses or even what is in fashion nowadays.

A TdH flanker without its DNA that is lead by the vetiver
I expected TdH's DNA but I found a composition lead by the vetiver. It softens the blend, i.e. the vetiver is not of the kind that can make one think of it being dated and the characteristic harsh, metalic notes of TDH are absent.

The drydown agrees with the overall feeling, it is quite discreet and powdery.

Everyday spicy oud for a low price
Synthetic oud blended with many undistinguishable notes that brings to mind other compositions of the kind - maybe they have the same molecule in common; of these, rose / oud compositions. Memory failed me since I recalled M7, but hand - in - hand the differences are obvious regardless a lost note in the back (again, the oud).

This morphs into spicy notes some time after application, it shows some complexity overall within five minutes. Patch is mentioned in the pyramid, I cannot identify it. Cedar would be the one I can recall better, however in a context of what has to be a floral note. Please be aware that from past experience I realized that it demands a full wear, a rapid one can be misleading. It is meant to run along the day, this will certainly bring surprises when it comes to complexity.

Excelente cost / value relationship: not widely known, and if known, frowned upon as corresponds to scents sold through catalogues a la Avon / Mary Kay. Do not let this fool you, nor if you do not mind strong synthetic notes.
