Silent Hill and the introversion
I can do what I want, but every time I spray this fragrance it takes me back to Silent Hill - in a positive sense. Most people should know Silent Hill, both the video game and the movie. Some of you would have to remember the gloomy sounds and the depressing music. Matching the music, you soon have the darkly designed area and the claustrophobic and creepy rooms in front of your eyes. All in all Silent Hill is known for its oppressive and gloomy atmosphere. But what does Silent Hill smell like? - That's what I really asked myself back then (I'm a fan of this series).

When spraying it on I immediately feel a breeze of green and spicy. Similarly, I imagine how I have to cross a dark forest to reach Silent Hill. Finally after 15-20 minutes I am already standing in the middle of the city. Thick fog hinders my view. I walk past decaying cars but can still smell the leather and oil in the car as if they had just been produced. I suddenly smell something slightly sweet and lively, but far and wide neither animal nor human. The mist, I call it the musk mist, manages to mix these scents together. Everything abandoned and empty, but it smells alive. The contrast is fascinating. I know that this fragrance cannot be alive, but still it gives me the impression of something warm and alive.
The fog (musk) fills every street and alley. Now I seek refuge in an abandoned hospital. I open the door and again I am met by lively smells. A little leather, warm skin, steaming earth and woody notes I can sniff with a single breath. Even though the hospital looks empty, mouldy, musty and abandoned for a long time, it seems as if life is pulsating here. Is there an in-between world? I wonder
I open every room and find that there's no one here. I suddenly hear little animals crawling and rustling - I can even smell them. A dark figure forms at the end of the corridor. If I did not imagine it, this being can now smell my fear: sweet, dark, dense and intense. I hurry outside and take another deep breath of the musk mist. Strange and yet so familiar. frightening, yet soothing and embracing. The sun hides behind the clouds and slowly it gets dark. After 8 hours of exploration (with a sprayer) in Silent Hill I cross the forest again before night falls. Only the sole of my shoe proves that I was there. Dirty and slightly fecal - I must have stepped on something.
I recommend this masterpiece to everyone who absolutely needs a new fragrance experience.
One could argue that No2 is not as complex as other Ensar Oud creations, but behind this dense, warm, leathery, woody musk composition hides something very vibrant and lively. It's a very introverted fragrance that invites you to cuddle up, but still grabs you, stimulates, inspires and makes you fantasize. While I think of Silent Hill, someone might associate it with a Lord of the Rings movie night.
After 15 minutes of top note, the heart note follows with an impressive persistence, and always with the enveloping and embracing musk. Very full-bodied (thanks to the musk tincture, instead of ethanol) and dense without becoming obtrusive. The base is slightly reminiscent of dry coffee grounds, don't worry it doesn't smell unpleasant.
It can be worn, in the right dosage, anywhere. But it's far too good for that. All in all, a very noble fragrance. But also very introverted, like Silent Hill. A journey into his darkest self, a confrontation between something living and something dead.
A bottle that will definitely enhance and revolutionize any collection. Somehow half my collection doesn't make sense anymore...

Blade Runner 2020
Why did I choose the title "Blade Runner 2020"? I'll get to that later.

At the beginning of my perfume career, I evaluated the fragrances very hastily and thoughtlessly. Now I have become wiser and I would like to share with you the impression of Amber Cologne, a fragrance that touched me.

It's raining. Together with a beautiful woman I met the other day, I drove an old Mercedes Benz 230d in the direction of Bodensee/Konstanz, my second home. It is still raining, but sometimes the sun shines between the grey clouds as if it doesn't want to give up. We get in the mood for music, turn the radio louder and fortunately the 80s hits are playing. A little "Stranger Things" feeling comes up. We drive past beautiful landscapes. Instinctively I turn the window down a little bit to get the smell of the landscape. I smell damp fields, lush green grass, decorated with flowers. A flower meadow decorated with various flowers, which I can't make out, but they are soaked in sunlight. The humidity rises due to the rain and I can smell the landscape in the car as if I were touching the flowers with my nose. Next to me a beautiful woman, in her hair a flower- to impress me? Automatically and instantly my brain connects this moment with her. Next to the smell of the flowers, a vanilla and at the same time salty scent comes up. I concentrate on the street, but I still address her. I finally understand, it is her skin that I perceive: salt and vanilla. She smells of them so delicately. While the wind outside tries to penetrate into the car, the smells inside mix. Flower meadow, moist and full. In the background her body smell: salty, with a delicate vanilla note.
Arrived there we enjoy the time together. We are on the Bismarck Tower. Our eyes meet at the lake. On the horizon the sun red and orange. Finally silence! We enjoy the moment and briefly I look at her and think to myself: is this real? On me the smell of Bortnikoff - Amber Cologne. A symbiosis between a moment and a fragrance. I am overwhelmed. I can't distinguish it anymore. Did the smells really come from outside or was it Amber Cologne? Was it really her skin that smelled so salty and vanilla or was it Amber Cologne? I don't know, but my brain has now connected this moment with her forever. To convince myself I stopped at the roadside and kissed her.
I still don't know if it was her body odor or really the smell of the landscape. But I know that it touched me and that I will never forget this moment.
Amber Cologne manages to enter into a symbiosis with reality. It's the same in Blade Runner, the viewer can't distinguish between man and machine. The depiction of humanity in Blade Runner is comparable to the naturalness in Amber Cologne. The boundaries are blurred. Joi, a hologram and at the same time human, not tangible but sensually graspable.

Amber Cologne starts juicy green and flowery, then slides as soft as butter into the dusk. As it loses strength, vanilla and salty notes come to the fore, a stay at Lake Constance. but the water is salty ;). It is theatrically beautiful. It awakens memories in me.

Whoever owns Alpes suisses will love Amber Cologne!
