Sommerling? Eccentric
Oops! He scared the shit out of me. I almost dropped the bottle after the first sprayer. Where are the citrus fruits, the white-flowering oleander, the view of the blue sea? Instead of in the Mediterranean garden, I'm standing in front of a log cabin. Through the small window, a bearded treasure peeps through, brewing mysterious tinctures against lunar addiction or foot warts in a coniferous forest solitude. It smells strange, incredibly bitter - it must taste bitter, otherwise it doesn't work.

While I am still thinking about how to send the wrong purchase back on the road in the most elegant way, there is already a first change to be noticed. The bitter notes are painstakingly raised like a morning mist, a timid fruity sweetness slowly fights its way out, accompanied by a few flowers. This mixes with herbaceous bitter fog in a way that I find truly remarkable, in the sense of unusual, memorable. In the further process I sniff myself again and again, and slowly my nose believes the Mediterranean garden. I look for an old, scurrilous bank, enjoy the view and even have a glimpse of the sea between the blossoming bushes. The thought of the souk is lost. The pretty bottle now gets a place on the bathroom cornice after all.

What happened olfactorically confuses me. The pyramid already sees the citrus notes in the opening, only at the end the woods and junipers. Something completely different is happening to me. As a somehow still beginner, I find something like this totally exciting. Maybe somebody can explain the fig to me again, I can't really locate it - does it contribute to the bitter notes? In any case, I like the fragrance despite initial doubts, definitely something you don't smell at every corner.

Guilty pleasure?!
In olfactory terms, Boss fragrances are obviously not in the top league and are often accompanied by attributes such as inconspicuous, unimaginative or boring. I don't want to presume a general judgement about this brand, because Femme is the first Boss fragrance I have tested, and - I like it!

It has a crisp, early summer freshness that does not only come from the usual citrus chord. It also manages without aquatic notes. The variety of flowers never seems difficult or overwhelming to me: it's not midsummer yet, but April or May (which suits me at the moment), when the freesia enjoys the first sun in the cool morning.

Besides - not unimportant - it even lasts longer than half an hour on me. Again and again I get this flowery-fresh Whiff, which pleases me in an uncomplicated way. It may not be unusual, but there are sometimes days when I don't want a statement full of character, but just a nose full of good humour. He's doing great

Phantom
Today I tried it again with Brilliant Wish, but I just can't manage it: I just can't believe this scent. He slips away from me again and again.

I've always had a covetous look at Wish - the blue firstling in this incredibly great bottle ;-) Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that we did not fit together, viiiel too sweet. Looking for something lighter for the summer, I happened to come across Brilliant Wish, the golden sister. Interesting fragrance pyramid, encouraging comments, no price - he was allowed to move in. I've been trying to make friends ever since. A friendly, quite light scent blows at me. Flowers, gentle warmth, not too sweet. But I can't get much further.

I try to recognize him, identify what makes him tick, but he doesn't show himself to me. Brilliant Wish remains totally unspecific to me, and "vamoos" quickly. I can't even find it on my scarf anymore (it always works, the scents don't stay on my skin for long).

Brilliant Wish is for me the fragrance that surrounds me when I enter a perfumery. Quasi Douglas in a bottle. Cleopatra says it to her comment: it doesn't hurt anyone. That's right, he's not unpleasant, but he doesn't do me any good. Too bad, I would have liked to have liked you. My third comment and at the same time premiere for the Souk

Winter is coming
I guess I'm a late bloomer when it comes to perfume. After a few young girlish experiments I had put the subject aside for years. Until that day, when my mother returned a borrowed scarf while walking after a visit. Later I wanted to put it away and hesitated - because it smelled! Every movement of the fabric filled the room with a wonderful magic.

Until then I had often perceived perfumes as annoying, intrusive or headache-prone, but with this fragrance it was different. Something has clicked into my mouth at this moment, with a satisfying, full-sounding KATSCHUNNKK! - this scent was MY! Where's the phone?
"Oh, you like this one? I just got it for free, but it's not my case. You can have it!"

What is it about this fragrance that appeals to me? I don't even want to try to crumble the individual scent elements, others can do that much better here. And especially in this case I don't want to analyse that at all, here I prefer to preserve the overall effect that this fragrance has on me. A scent in which I still find the heat of an almost past summer, but early in the morning there is already a mysterious fog on the fields, it smells a bit like autumn. Winter is coming. Wonderfully unsweet and free from non-binding flowering. Seriously, but not harsh or rude, a melancholic scent. And somehow right. It's for me.

Meanwhile, I wear the scent less often. Not because I like it less than before, on the contrary. If I wear it daily, I take it was less clear, it "disappears" then for my nose, and I still want it to remain something special. Hach. Enough raving. Thanks for reading.

Melancholy
A very dear Parfuma gave me a splendid tasting package. Including Moonlight Patchouli. What a promising name. *ffft*ffft* a gentle, pleasant breath blows by. very appealing. But... where'd he go? Confusion. Apparently, I'm kind of blind to the top note. *ffft* Something like that... The sprayed arm is held under the bear's nose. "Do you smell anything?" "Yes, it does. Smells." (that's almost enthusiasm already).
That's odd. First, some kitchen work. Half an hour later a melancholic rose blooms timidly. The flowers are framed by woody notes and cocoa powder. Sweet, but not sugar wadded. A good sweet, that's not to be taken for granted. Powdery. Very well balanced. For the leather in the base note my nose lacks the experience.
Well, the top score failed completely in this test, I've never experienced that before. Maybe it was my bath earlier? But I like this gentle, mysterious scent very much, I will test it very gladly and very soon a second time. In a commentary Arwen was associated, that fits perfectly, I think.
Many thanks to Casimir for this fragrance experience
