On an Island...
Sound of the sea. The water in front of me glistens in the orange glow of the sun, as if thousands of diamonds were floating on it. A fresh breeze blows over the vastness of the sea to me, and mixes with the scent of the citrus groves located in the hinterland to a beautiful melange. Life can be so carefree...
Next to me lies and lolls in the sand my picture-perfect companion. Would it be a shame to have to enjoy this scenario alone! She is unique. Her perfect body gently covered by the sand, exudes an elegant creamy woody veil. Defined curves and a long slender neck blend perfectly into the exotic landscape. Equated with a youthful fruitiness that is second to none. Juicy and sweet at the same time! To bite, there would be unfortunately not this certain bulkiness ... She is just a little green behind the ears. But I can remedy that, if I only play with her often enough! Long I can not hold me back anyway!
My fingers are already quite tingly, and surrounded by all these summer-scented aromas, it grabs me. Rather, I grab them! Full of fervor and passion, I grab her neck. With a skillful tug, I pull her onto my lap. I place my one hand on her soft and woody-scented underbelly, while my other hand gently cups her creamy neck!
And then, yes then, I get out and play the most beautiful piece from my repertoire on my beloved guitar from Hanika Manufaktur...:-)

**

Inspired by the blessed spring temperatures of the last few days, I wrote these lines about Bohemian Lime. A beautiful summer scent that also reminds me a little of The Tycoon by St Giles. Uncomplicated, refreshing and hopeful in that it offers pragmatic and applicable solutions for the months ahead. So that we may all have a carefree, and as carefree as possible, summer in these still very constrained and reduced times.

Free fall
I stand at the edge of perception, the cliffs of reality
Sharpened are the senses like an eagle
Balmy depths in the firmament shine
The abyss before me - resinous, sweet and velvety soft
Let me fall and drift, staggering losing my grip
Wood-soaked veils full of surreal psychedelic emotion
blur reality, beguiling and intoxicating at the same time
A carved reality that never was and never will be
Succumbing to the fallacy of creamy illusion, desirable and so full of hope
Deep blue light shimmers from the hoped for world
on mystic paths to me
Reaches me flickering and pure
Clarified shall my inmost self now be
For as transience
Is a tear on the cheek of time
Gives sandy dust and warm amber
Again much hope to shining being

Carved Oud represents for me an extremely exciting olfactory modification to OW. Even if the souls of both compositions have the same aesthetic origin, Carved Oud offers a certain more tendency to the oriental "desert scent"!

What am I? The cheerful perfume guess
The hall waits eagerly for the beginning of the show. When the protagonist enters the stage, he is greeted with applause. Pausing briefly at the blackboard, the guest takes a piece of chalk and writes his name on it: "Mr. Creed", and at the same time makes a cross at "Independent". The presenter of the show, Mr. Johannes Bähre, greets the guest energetically and asks him to take a seat.
"So, let's introduce you first", the presenter explains, and sounds a small gong next to him. The following text then appears at the bottom of the screen:

King Ave -Batch 20E01-ntus

When the gong sounds a second time, the text has already faded out.
The guess jury, consisting of Mrs. Jasmin Birke, Mrs. Kasambra Van Ille, Mr. Pat Chouli as well as Mrs. Anna Nass, can not see this insertion of course. To guess and find out is their task, the main part of the game. The jury may only ask questions which the candidate can answer with "Yes" or "No". For every question answered with "No" Mr. Creed gets 50 Parfumo Points. If 10 questions are answered with "No", the guest wins. Should the jury find out beforehand which perfume is sitting here, the jury logically wins.

"Which Schweinderl would you like?" the moderator asks the guest Mr. Creed. "I'll have the yellow one" he replies, lolling back in his chair. "Then let us begin at once. But first I would like to ask you for a typical hand gesture" Johannes Bähre asks the guest. The latter then reaches out with his hand for an imaginary knob, and pushes it forward as if opening a door....
"Thank you very much" acknowledges Mr. Bähre the gesture, and asks as immediately Mrs. Jasmin Birke to begin with the first question.

"Mr. Creed," Birch starts. "Have you been in the perfume business long?"
The interviewee confirms with a resounding "yes" to the question.
"Long is a relative term, after all. Have you been in the market for more than 10 years?"
"I would like to be, but unfortunately I am not. So no" the candidate replies disappointedly.
The presenter then puts 50 Parfumo Points in the yellow piggy bank, and reveals the number 1 on his counting pad!
"Then please allow Ms. Anna Nass to ask the next question" the host continues.
"With pleasure. Are you a fruity contemporary?" wants to know the Anna Nass, which is confirmed quite clearly with "Yes".
"Then, by any chance, is my name in your potpourri of fragrances?"
"Logically," comes from Mr Creed as if shot out of a pistol.
"How nice. I'm very pleased to hear that. I'm just extremely desirable" drools the wet one.
"Are you possibly a gourmand?" Horrified, the question is answered in the negative, and another 50 Parfumo points are added to the yellow pig. Number 2 appears on the counting block.
"Now it would be Mr. Pat Chouli's turn" prompts the Johannes Bähre the jury member.
"OK. Mr. Creed, are you an olfactory milestone?"
No sooner has Pat asked the question than Creed alters in his chair and counters:
"Yes of course. What personality do you think is sitting here in front of you?"
"All right. According to this, you have done a special service to humanity?"
"But so what! What kind of question is that?" the King teases back.
"Are you a man scent?"
"Logically, you can't get much more masculine than that," he grunts loudly into the studio.
"Then can it be that you are a so-called pantydropper?" asks the matter-of-fact and sober Pat Chouli. That got gebatched! The King, visibly irritated by the question, turns to the host for help. After a brief whispering between the two, the commentator evasively answers the question along the lines of "you can't say that now either...so no".
Zack, 50 Parfumo points again to it. Next to speak is Ms Kasambra Van Ille.
"Are you a door opener then, Mr Creed? After all, your initial gesture suggested that you were."
"Yes, definitely" the guest arrogantly confirms the question.
"And have you, by any chance, been reformulated many times?" the Van Ille adds snappily, a nasty grin on her face.
"Damn, I hate that question," the protagonist continues. "But yes, too many times already, I'm afraid!"
"To that extent, does their quality suffer as well?" wants to know Kasambra.
"Absolutely not, no!" clamors the Creed. " You have to stick to the truth already", the Johannes Bähre admonishes the guest harshly. "We have to answer this question in the affirmative" declares the moderator of the jury, and hands back to Mrs. Van Ille.
"OK. Mr. Creed. I have a couple of general questions now. Are you a smoker?"
"Yes"
"Birch tar smoker?"
"Yes exactly" the King admits almost unnerved.
"So they're fresh fruity, smoky and creamy woody too?"
"That is so all true" confirms Batch 20E01N.
"That means you are an all-round perfume that smells good, likes to be worn and pleases many?!". The protagonist, already almost belly-flushed, happily confirms everything with "Yes but you can leave one on that".
"Then I would now like to present a solution" exults the Casambra enthusiastically. "Before us sits the veritable, one and only King Ave-ntus!!! Allthough, I can't give you a batch number. You've been reformulated too many times for that...but due to their high profile, we just recognized them rather quickly!"

The inclined and somewhat older readers* will surely have noticed my reference to the popular TV guessing game from the 70s and 80s. Furthermore, I have written these lines with a lot of tongue in cheek, rather as a small homage. I myself have actually only known Aventus for a little over a year. In this respect, this perfume is anything but trite, stale, arbitrary, irrelevant and characterless for me. I consider Aventus far from all these clichés attributed to him, and perceive the perfume as a successful work.

Go with the (green) Flow
Surrender to the flow of life and let yourself be carried away by what comes. A very inviting idea, and in this day and age probably only very conditionally realizable for most. At least in my life a real challenge, because the flow is interrupted again and again. But how do you even get into the right "flow"?

Olfactory considered the flow, which concerns fragrances and perfumes, has me quite unexpectedly way a few weeks ago, as me a valued Parfumo colleague Mousse Illuminee as a sample zukommen lie.
When I tested the fragrance together with a few other fragrances, the work of Rogue fell me first not at all significantly in the eye or in the sense of smell. Only when I came after leaving the room back into the room, well there he floated, this all overlaying fragrance carpet...
It was like the ultimate awakening, and I thought to myself...Wow, that almost reveals a bit of what I have always been looking for olfactorically. Thus, I came into the flow - instantly and full of enthusiasm!

Mousse Illuminee puts you in chains in the positive sense, holds you tight and takes you on a shimmering journey. Not the wearer wears this fragrance, but the fragrance wears the wearer! An essential principle! Because as soon as the fragrance molecules pass through the atomizer and come into contact with the environment, it means diving into a sea of green lights full of breathtaking beauty. Ethereal green freshness emerges, like an emerald forest full of grace and magic. But be careful, because the initial sharpness, enormous herbaceousness and the sometimes acrid smell can also be perceived very quickly as unpleasant, respectively be equated with too strong animalism. But a few words more about this later.
Mousse Illuminee needs its time. The longer you wear it, the more beautiful, authentic and purist it becomes.
Because the real magic, which the manufacturer Manuel Cross draws sovereign, and the fragrance for me thus almost visionary, is the inherent spirit of the forest. Do you know those images of forest gods, whose face is made of leaves, arranged in a circle, with puckered lips as if breathing out wind? MI makes me think of just such a figure...mystical, enchanting and mysterious!
This phenomenon arises from the oak moss, which here so grandiosely set in scene, the fragrance breathes this extraordinary aura. Fantastic!

On the subject of urea-containing aromas in the fragrance, so in the statements is often spoken of "anpinkeln", "piss", "mark", "anbrunzen"...:-) gespochen.
This is, by the way, urbayerisch, sensational term, and means the same as "a'gseicht", so angebieselt.
But now enough of these urinalen terminology, they are but in my opinion going for this wondrous fragrance more than inappropriate and completely unsuitable!
It lies solely in the intense prelude of MI, which allows this assumption. I perceive these fragrance notes so but in no way. On the contrary. MI needs this intensity to play out its enormous endurance. It actually lasts the whole day! So is here with the dosage caution required, because MI wallpapers in the closer environment everything organic as well as inorganic with its molecules...
No, that's not true, of course. But too much sprayed quickly leads to social exclusion!

The label owner Manuel Cross has hereby succeeded in creating a brilliant oldschool powerhouse fragrance, with a modern, and just for me almost visionary twist. My predecessor Ms. Holle I therefore unreservedly agree: Best fragrance!
However, I must deny her one thing: she has not all bottles, one stands with me...:-)

I thank my now almost mentor Floyd, who made me aware of this label in the first place, as well as the esteemed Mr. Bloodxclat, who sent me this then inconspicuous sample many weeks ago!

*It's time to start something new and trust the magic of the beginning
*

Thank you so much for reading all of this!

Quercia - The Oak
The venerable gnarled oak. It has been standing on the light-flooded hill in the shimmering summer mixed forest for centuries. It has seen a lot over the years, and time has left its mark. Deep furrows in the solid bark, the trunk hollowed out by other creatures. Yet the strong branches are broadly branched, and the root system leans deep into the earth.
Its resilience has made it what it is today. Mystical and mysterious, it is considered the king of the forests. Since time immemorial, she has been attributed to the supreme deities, embodying strength, power and constancy in full drives
Many legendary tales entwine around her figure, and her heroic appearance has always drawn people to her in the forest!
The oak symbolizes a strong and self-sufficient resting place...

*
*
Quercia also embodies a beautiful haven of calm for me. A fragrance that bears the name of such a stately tree, that wants to mean something. However, Quercia is certainly not to be equated with a classic forest fragrance. Rather not at all! Nevertheless, a closer look for me can very well build an olfactory bridge to the oak...

The fresh and citrusy reception reveals a consensual presence. Authentic is the prelude, just as an oak just. No sooner have I made myself comfortable under the treetop, joins this wonderful, soft spicy veil of Quercia. It gives the fragrance lasting space and the necessary depth. The wood of the tree lives, it breathes, which is expressed by the superbly balanced tart, slightly edgy woodiness. Coupled with a mordant sweetness, the impression is of a tree in bloom. Certainly plays here the tonka bean as well as the cardamom a few bars with.
The ancient trunk is covered with oak moss, which gives the fragrance this very special and magical aura. Oak moss always breathes a subtle and inconspicuous magic into the fragrances, and awakens the green spirit of the forest, so to speak...

Thus, the fragrance is able to create in a light-footed and elegant way, through individual aromas an interlocking fragrance panorama. He acts at no time artificial or even intrusive. The durability and sillage are appropriate, several hours the fragrance is a pleasant companion in pretty much all situations. Uncomplicated, pleasing and yet unique and special!

Shinrin-yoku stands for the Japanese "art" or therapy of "forest bathing". The stay under large old trees or the stay in forests leads according to these considerations to more well-being and strengthening of the immune system!
In this respect, this would be a perfect occasion to enjoy Quercia, and relax under an old oak tree.
Voilá - the reference to fragrance and tree would thus be established.
