The smallest details..
Delphine Thierry, the wonderful perfumer of this wonderful fragrance, probably always starts with the idea of a new fragrance by opening her ears, opening her eyes and being open to all the emotions that surround her. Because a fragrance, she says, is born from the smallest little things. What are the smallest little things? The rustling of leaves in the cool breeze of an autumn morning? The sound of the first thick drops on the hot asphalt on an August evening? But also the tear that runs down your cheek as it unloads from your saturated eye when you finally blink...
Lubin is exactly like that. The fragrance starts low, despite its bergamot and manderine top notes. There's no time for shallow superficialities here. The resin is there quickly and stays until the end. Frankincense, amber and patchouli surround a deep vanilla. This fragrance is a masterpiece. It envelops, comforts and protects. It gives the wearer a comforting feeling that life is made up of the smallest little things.
I will be wearing this perfume to a funeral tomorrow. A funeral of a person I held very dear. Remembering a time when it was all about the smallest little things in life. It was about the song we hadn't heard in years. It was about coffee together on the patio with the first rays of sunshine. It was about conversations that hadn't been had in years. About memories. About laughing no matter what tomorrow brings. Laughing today!!! We are alive. We are as close as we probably were the last time we did things together as young girls. Today. Today we eat chocolate again. My dear soul - sister, I am honored to wear this scent on your farewell tomorrow. Not for the sake of mourning. No, for the sake of the little things we've finally come to appreciate these past few months together

Into each other and with each other..
In my entire life, I have never dared sooo many blind scent purchases as I did during Corona time. To buy a perfume without sniffing it first? Impossible for me in the past. Powdery? Floral? Yes all well and good but that's why I still don't know what it smells like. Phew... What the hell... Ordered. When Satin arrived, I stumbled over its elegant bottle. Wow, very well done... Then the first spray and yes, I was really excited! The spray is already an experience! No kidding! Totally fine and valuable. Now for the scent. A relief spreads. First thought :mei, smells the guuuuuuuut!!!! Nothing at all jumps out at me in a negative way. Everything smells round, feminine, elegant, a touch nostalgic (no, not stale!!) floral and simply elegant. I can usually identify and describe individual notes in a fragrance just fine. I have a really really hard time doing that here. It's all very well intertwined and interwoven. A fragrance that really always goes. It smells neat, feminine and simply likeable. If I had to explain to a person who has never smelled a perfume in his life, how such a perfume smells in general, then I would probably spray him Satine by Lalique on the wrist

A fragrance that is unparalleled..
Well, what can you say about this fragrance size already... It's polarizing. Definitely. He comes in the head very diva-like, almost unapproachable. I see a woman who doesn't let anyone tell her what to do... Neither privately nor professionally. She always keeps her countenance and is never weak or girlish. At least not at first... I smell a lot of aldehydes, and strangely enough something spruce-like. Maybe it's the juniper or cypress? But even the biggest diva shuts down once in a while.... In the heart note, the diva calms down and even lets me talk to her. Suddenly I even smell a lovely violet. Is that the vulnerable side coming out? In the base, it now becomes calm. The diva arrives home, even able to make herself comfortable by her standards. Not cuddly romantic, but womanly. Stylish and graceful, she sits on her récamiére and reads a good book. In French, of course, as it was just dilettantely translated in German. Hach... i love this scent. ?

Heat
Oh my God, I love this warmth! Not this "in winter, by the fireplace, with cuddly socks, wrapped in blanket, with tea and biscuits " warmth. But a completely different warmth! It's this "I was on the beach all day in the heat and my body is charged with sun and I'm freshly showered but the heat still floods my body" warmth! That's exactly what I've been looking for! There I first had to kiss so many expensive frogs to then find in this price category ... unbelievable! I see him, in contrast to most others, primarily not in winter, but in warm summer evenings on tanned skin ... all in all a successful fragrance at a successful price. Blind buying is worth it!

Totally underestimated...
In my opinion, this wonderful fragrance is completely underestimated. At least I've been feeling that way the last few years... just sprayed "Jil" at the drugstore some time ago. So more likely to pass by and without great expectations... a beautiful sweet, but not twitchy scent comes towards me. At the same time fresh but not too fresh. Adult, but not old. The lavender note... wonderful! In the heart note the lavender has disappeared, but it becomes more powdery...I smell a balance that never annoys me at any time. Nothing pushes itself into the foreground. A beautiful scent for the day for a woman who has class, knows what she wants but has nothing bourgeois about her. Really nice. The base then simply becomes soft and gentle and feminine. This is the fragrance that, by the way, is at the back of "my" Douglas, in the last row and at the bottom. Sorry, he doesn't deserve that place! If you are like me and you have always "overlooked" the "jil" somehow, then test it! My momentary every day always going....
