Virgin Island Water + Hawas + cane sugar = Isla Tropical
First of all I would like to thank DonCarlo again for the rehearsal. It was a great pleasure to meet you! Now the scent... I was familiar with Parfums Vintage, but had never had one under my nose before. This one is supposed to be a more intense Dupe from Creed Virgin Island Water. Well, I have the original Creed bottled here and have compared both. I came to the following conclusion. Creed Virgin Island Water is definitely softer, clearer, more transparent in the fragrance and definitely looks more natural. The Dupe is as described above, a mix of different nuances, which tries to keep the original vibe of CVIW. However, he succeeds only conditionally and so the fragrance develops its own character as I find...

About the scent itself... Isla Tropical starts with a fruity, tropical-looking freshness, covered by a blanket of cane sugar. The cane sugar also makes it sweet from the start, but not overly sweet. At the same time, the scent awakens certain associations in me that remind me of the taste of the remaining sugar residue at the bottom of a mochito glass. After a short time, aquatic notes (no idea where they come from?) are added and give him again these quite penetrating Rasasi Hawas freshness. I think if you take away the cane sugar, which by the way remains present until the middle, it reminds me very much of Hawas. It stays like that for quite a while and only after a few hours does the scent become a bit brighter and discreetly fruity, which is definitely reminiscent of CVIW. In the base this remains relatively long and the scent does not change much further.

Durability and silage are without question very good. After spraying it takes a little bit of air, because it has real power in the first 1h. This only flattens out slowly and you notice it without much effort even after 8-10h very well. The sillage should be quite strong, and I would say that with the right amount you can perceive it very well.

I do not have the bottle and cannot give any further details. But from the picture it looks very attractive.

In conclusion, it remains to be said that Parfums Vintage has succeeded in creating a rather uniquer scent. For me it's not a 1:1 twin of CVIW, but it's leaning towards it. He is likeable in his own way, but at the beginning he is also quite exhausting. For people who like Fruity Sweet Aquatik alla Hawas or Invictus, it is definitely worth trying. For those who expect an intense version of the original Creed, it will certainly disappoint. I like it, but wouldn't buy it.

A Le Male Vintage Dupe on steroids
First of all I would like to thank DonCarlo for the pleasant souk. Without him I would probably not have gotten this great smell. Thank you, Don Carlo Normally I always take some time before I write a comment on a fragrance. I like to test very extensively to get a better idea of the strengths and weaknesses of a fragrance. For once, Dua Man doesn't need this... Why? Because.. It is probably the best Le Male Dupe I have ever smelled and tasted. This contestant here is tops them all... This is good old LeMale as he was in his prime. A vintage version that, in layman's terms, hits you right in the face. I applied the scent to the back of his hands after work today, which was about 4h ago. Since then, I've been sunbathing for an hour and riding my bike for 2 hours. Nevertheless I still perceive the scent, even when I put my hands in my lap. This version of Dua is a real Sillagemonster. Unbelievable! We rode our bikes together and I only had a drop on the back of my hand. My wife rode behind me and she noticed the scent very well at regular intervals. That I am still allowed to experience something like that...really crazy.

About the scent itself... Dua Man is, a 1:1 copy of Le Male only twice, no, three times more potent than the original. It maintains the freshness of mint throughout and blends with the sweet vanilla and tonka bean. What's interesting is that the vetiver plays a role from the middle of the fragrance, making it a little sweet fresh dirty. Yummy!

The durability is brutal, as already indicated above. It stays on the skin for a very long time and with this projection I think well over 10h present. The sillage is still well present after 4-5h. Here is definitely caution required!

I can only judge the bottle from the picture, because I got a 10ml filling. It's ok, but it doesn't fit to the content as I think

In conclusion, Dua has managed to bring the Vintage Le Male version back to life and to improve it. A true monster that projects without end and catapults you back to the 90s. For fans and those who miss the old Le Male, this one is made for you. Unfortunately it is out of stock on the Dua side, which should make it difficult to get another one. But if you have the chance, take it!

A special encounter
2001 was exactly the year I first met Le Male. At that time I was still a young savage and infected by the techno scene at that time. Schranz, Techno with 140bpm was the motto and I was out and about every weekend at some party. Dj Rush, Sven Väth and Chris Liebing were my heroes of the night. Armed with a neoprene jacket, bell-bottoms by Freeman T Porter and platform shoes by Swear, I danced through the nights until I was absolutely exhausted. Driven by the machine monotony and tens of liters of Red Bull and Storm caffeine water, it was always like a journey into another world. I can still remember the night it happened. It was back then in a club near here called Beatklink. It had two floors of house and techno. At that time I was there with my whole clique and we had a great evening. After a few hours, sweaty and tired from dancing, we decided to go to the Chillout Area to get some new energy. We all went out of the floor one after the other and in front of me a guy was walking. There it happened! A sweet slightly fresh cloud came towards me like I had never smelled it before. Totally confused, I let the scent sink in amidst the honeycombed bass and black light... Never before had I had such a strong and memorable impression of a perfume, except perhaps Fahrenheit of my stepfather... This encounter there, however, was many times stronger and more sensual than I was used to. When the guy in front of me had disappeared, the impression of Le Male remained for quite a while, and I wondered what it was that smelled so horny there. So I had internalized this scent and always kept it in mind. It must have been about a year or so later when I had a second encounter with the scent. A good friend of mine had Le Male on it at that time and then it had happened again around me. Through him I learned the name of the fragrance and it didn't take long until I had it. Since then Le Male accompanied me until the day I discovered Acqua Di Giò, which replaced Le Male. Nevertheless, since then I had him every now and then when I was up for him. Since then, I always associate Le Male with my wild time and have experienced many wonderful moments with him. Le Male is simply a work of art. This scent simply polarizes, so that one recognizes him blindly among hundreds of scents. I assume that everyone here knows how the piece smells and spare me a detailed description of the scent process. I can imagine that there are many people out there and also here on Parfumo who, like me, associate a lot with this scent?! How was that with you? Where did you first encounter the fragrance and what kind of experiences do you associate with it? You are welcome to write under my comment, I would be happy to read from you

Saturday Night Fight
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to our live coverage of today's battle of the superlatives. My name is Michael and I will be hosting the most sensational fight of recent years. We are reporting live from Madison Square Garden in New York and I can tell you that the atmosphere here is already seething. There is no free seat left and we have some celebrity guests here who have secured a front row seat to experience this great fight first hand. Among others is...

I just learned that the first fighter is entering the arena. First to enter the arena will be Johnny Depp. Johnny will fight for Team Dior... And here we go... Johnny enters the arena confidently and to the raging cheers of his fans... Very cool and casual he struts towards the ring and even from my place up here I can see his winner smile flashing. Ladies and gentlemen... What a guy! Now he steps into the ring and takes off his Dior-style black coat and goes to the right corner... Ladies and gentlemen, what an atmosphere. People are really freaking out. Oh, my God I've never seen anything like it. But now for Johnny himself, who will fight for his title of indestructible seducer tonight. He's 5'8", weighs 142 pounds... Of 112 fights, he has lost only three, 86 of them knockouts... Ladies and gentlemen, this is not going to be easy for the challenger... I'm just learning that he's getting ready to enter the arena. Tonight Johnny's opponent will be the inexperienced but strong Tim Schumacher from Germany... He is the most successful newcomer of the last two years and comes from Copenhagen... Out of 80 fights he has lost only one, 77 K. O. victories to record. He is also known in the boxing scene as the iron eel... He is 189cm tall and comes with 160 pounds with a handsome weight into the ring
... Now Tim is about to enter the arena and is heading for the ring, where his opponent is already standing by. From up here, ladies and gentlemen, I can see Tim and Johnny entering the ring confident and full of energy. He also takes off his coat and presents his steel body to the cheering crowd... What a grenade of a man... ...ladies and gentlemen. I can hear the hearts of the female fans beating with thunderous cheers all the way down here... We're going to do a short commercial and I'll be right back, so stay tuned for more...

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. We will now go live into the ring, where both fighters are facing each other and the ring speaker Michael Buffer will introduce both fighters to the audience...

Let's get ready toooo Rumble...

Now both fighters have been announced and both will be instructed by the referee... There are only a few moments left ladies and gentlemen, until the first bell sounds and it finally starts... Both fighters are facing each other ladies and gentlemen and you can hear the tension crackling... Both look at each other with a sharp look and we are waiting anxiously for the first gong.

GOOONG...

Here we go ladies and gentlemen! Both fighters scurry towards each other under cover. Johnny's moving smoother than Tim, who's running towards Johnny like a roller. And... (laughs) And... Wow! And there's the first few chapes of Tim running for Johnny's cover. Tim covers him with several left-right lavender combinations... Johnny's ambroxan cover leaves no gap and he skips Tim as if he was Jack Sparrow himself. Johnny can duck and uses the break from Tim to give him a pepperclip... And...it sits! Tim immediately takes his position again and tries to block Johnny's peppered grenades with his Ambroxan cover... It is getting hot, ladies and gentlemen and both fighters are not giving each other anything... A wild exchange of blows between the two... Again and again both give each other the hard edge and try to take advantage of the gaps in the cover of the other. Johnny tries again to attack Tim and tries to finish him off with his six-pounder... But Tim evades and comes from underneath with his iron left and breaks the cover of Johnny... Again and again Tim uses his strong left one to cook Johnny soft... And what is this... In the course of his fine lavender dance, Tim hits with his right charcoal hook in front of Johnny's chin... He goes down immediately... Oh, dear What footwork of Tim in combination with his skillful punches... Johnny lies dazed on the floor of the ring and the referee is counting him out...

4...5...6...7...8...9...10 Off...

Crazy ladies and gentlemen... I can't believe it. Tim sends Johnny back to the Black Pearl in the first round... Ha ha ha ha... What a lightning victory for Team Prada. You really have to say that they did a great job... Johnny comes to his senses while Tim is on the ropes and gets celebrated... What a defeat for Johnny... But here you also have to say that both fighters had similar qualities, but Tim's finesse finally won. What a fight, ladies and gentlemen...

I now hand over to my colleagues down in the ring, where Tim will say a few words. Thank you for being there, and until next time it's said...

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE...

Bitter Sweet Symphony
There Mr. Cavalier has once again conjured up magic. As a fan of his creations, I must also express some praise for this fragrance. Mr. Cavalier is a master of his trade when it comes to getting to the heart of a fragrance with few ingredients. In addition, it is unique and long-lasting. This was the case with Emporio Armani Diamnonds, Diesel's Feul For Live and now also Aqva Amara. All of them I have or had in my collection. Aqua Amara was a blind buy I don't regret. It didn't last long in the beginning, but as with many fragrances, time determines maturity. After approx. 2 months it now lasts very long and enchants me literally while wearing it. But unlike other users here, I only associate this fragrance with the ocean to a limited extent. At the beginning it is too bitter and too sweet at the back. But what does not disturb in any case!

About the scent itself... Aqva Amara starts with a whole basket of bitter oranges that might directly deter one or the other. At first, the bitterness is indeed a bit intense, but it quickly settles on a salty mineral bed of watery freshness. This is where the fragrance comes into play in combination with a slight sweetish touch of incense. At this stage, Aqva Amara is a symphony of fruity, fresh and subtle sweetness with depth through the patchouli. Towards the end, the salty aquatic loses its salty character and then remains sweet and slightly warm, with a certain creaminess.

The shelf life is exaggeratedly good for an "Aquaten" and is present well over 8h. The sillage is 1-2h good after that but still very well perceptible.

I can only partially rate the bottle, because I have the 30ml version, where the bottle is slim and can be placed. Nevertheless I like the normal one, which has the shape of a water drop. I think it's chic!

Finally it remains to say that Cavalier succeeded here with Aqva Amara an ingenious throw. Once again he has managed to convince me with his minimalism and his ingenuity. Who would like to smell particularly and above all elegantly freshly, this smell should treat itself absolutely or test it at least once. A masterpiece in front of the gentleman and definitely one of my favourite scents for the summer.
