From Macho to Softie
I'm a motorcyclist, but I would never think of riding a Harley. I like the smell of leather because it reminds me of rides. And so after many positive reviews I bought myself a blind buy.

The first spray is like special effects, a whole firework of scents. Rum, campfire smoke, leather, wood, spices... Dark Rebel shows what it can do. It's impressive That's where the picture of the Harley rider comes from, although I never imagined that they were actually interested in scents
The rum lies quite fast on my skin and remains only recognizable when sniffing directly. The main tone is now a clean smoke of a cosy campfire, leather and a resinous-balsamic sweetness as undertone. The special effects fade.

As the fragrance progresses, the entire construct becomes softer. Like a guy roasting some more marshmallows on a smoldering campfire in his girlfriend's forest.

The fragrance awakens many images and emotions in me and I love to smell it. Again and again I sniff my wrist when I sprayed it on myself. The durability and silage could be better for such a masculine scent, but are still ok. 5-6 hours on my skin. The bottle fits perfectly to the theme and is ingeniously designed (just the black cap with silver fleur-de-lys).

And unlike many here, I think the scent is easily wearable. The rum evaporates quickly, the projection is not excessive and the heart and base are more versatile than you might think. Only to the suit Dark Rebel does not fit at all in my opinion.

Memories - and stories from Ü40
I was never particularly interested in fashion, but in the 2000s you couldn't help but hear about Abercrombie & Fitch. From shops where passing pedestrians feel olfactorically harassed, from models...
Anyway, two friends lived in Boston and I flew over the pond to visit them. The suitcase was only filled with the most necessary things, since it is common to buy cheap supplies in outlet stores. I also stopped by in a normal A&F store. I noticed the room smell, but found it quite pleasant, since I only knew WC lemon, car apple or over-sugared flowers. I took some T-shirts with me. And then the vacation continued in New York. A great time!

When I was back in Germany and found out that you could buy the "shop fragrance" from A&F, I ordered it directly.

I find him incredibly difficult to describe. It's fresh, but doesn't seem citrusy or aquatic. It seems slightly woody without being woody, it is filled up with flowers but without being flowery. I honestly do not smell any single components. However, it makes it totally versatile

Why he is accused of being a teen scent is probably due to marketing. But I don't understand. In my job (controller, finance, law) there are many colleagues who can be recognized by their scent. Allure, Bleu de Chanel. But also a 50-year-old boss who wears Invictus (which the ladies like, but have chosen for him - as a gift). And when I came into the office with Fierce, a colleague over 40 years old (who was 10 years older than me) asked me what I smelled like. That would be really great. So: Smell what you want!

Melon Musk
At Turquoise, a saleswoman recommended Reaction to a friend when he was new out. I knew only a few fragrances before, all of which were rather old-fashioned and those that had been given to me unsolicited. Reaction was the first fragrance that amazed me. I found the concept of developing a watermelon into a fragrance fascinating and slowly I started to get interested in other fragrances

To the fragrance itself: I can hardly smell the headlines. Right at the beginning, a real torrent of fruity, light melon comes your way, which puts you in a good mood. But it doesn't stay for long, but gradually fades away. What remains is the base of musk and sandalwood. However, when I smell it directly on my skin I can still detect a hint of melon. But then the projection is only very close to my skin. The base is then stronger. However, the musk looks really unpleasantly scratchy and synthetic.

The durability... ...here again, the scent is ambivalent. The melon scent is gone quickly, but the scratchy musk still hangs in my clothes the next day. But since the fruit scents are the most important thing here, I consider the shelf life to be short.

If you like melon, you have access to it, but you must be aware that it does not last long. Melon is also not an essential oil and therefore has to be assembled in terms of fragrance, which may explain its short shelf life. Nevertheless, it is delicious here!

Fruity summer freshness
In search of a summer scent, I rummaged through perfume and YouTube. Among the usual suspects, Blue Seduction was brought in at a YouTuberin. The girls there liked it very much and it got good ratings here too
In Corona times you want to save a little bit and so I thought, if it is really a good cheap version of Versace Man Eau Fraiche, you can't go wrong here. Ordered and tested when the package arrived.

When spraying it on my skin, a fresh, slightly sweet gush came towards me. I tried to smell the melon, but it only slowly came to the fore. Overall a feeling of freshness and cleanliness. The aquatic does not push itself into the foreground. In the drydown the scent remains fresh and fruity, the slight existing sweetness stays in the background and fortunately decreases a little bit.
The blackcurrant gives the fragrance a slightly synthetic quality. Either because it seems synthetic itself or the fruit does not quite fit into the fragrance picture.

Sillage is strong for a fresh fragrance. I can smell it strongly on me. Maybe because my nose won't adjust because it's slightly synthetic? But even when I come back into the room, I can still notice the scent, even though I haven't put on much of it. Shelf life is ok.

For me an excellent, inexpensive summer scent. Good mood for spraying!

Playful orange instead of standard citrus
My latest acquisition. After clicking through YouTube to find a newer spring scent, I came across Lacoste L'Homme as an insider tip. Because I already have Lacoste Pour Homme in my collection and I like its playfulness, I wanted to try it in any case. Especially as I have a weakness for the scent of oranges and grapefruits, they lift my spirits. And orange tends to smell like cleaner less often than lemon.

When the turquoise was now open again despite corona times, I set out to test it. In the end I tested the lemony, super elegant Allure Homme Edition Blanche and Lacoste L'Homme on my skin. Both ingenious fragrances. But since I just needed a mood-lifter and, as I said, I like the scent of oranges and didn't want to overstretch my budget, the Lacoste came in the bag. The Chanel will follow sometime.

Now let's talk about the scent. The opening is fresh and fruity. Instead of the individual fruits (I have no idea how rhubarb smells, since I never eat it) it looks more like a single fruit to me, which smells similar to oranges. The combination of the individual components in the top note is well done.
Quickly you also perceive something warm-sweet-woody.

In the course of time the orange component becomes weaker, but the warm-sweet-woody one stays for a long time and we are supported by the playful orange at the end as well.

With me, the durability is unfortunately only average, the projection unfortunately also. The first hour it is still ok, after that it decomposes well. But it's not so unusual to put it on again with a summer scent.
