Groundbreaking unisex
This actually a very well composed perfume. A citrus/floral on a musky base. Interesting, and not headache inducing. At the time of it's release it was groundbreaking. Back then I am sure a lot of men found this to be too feminine. But today I suspect it's the other way around: more people would grade this as a masculine scent than a feminine. Taste has changed, and this perfume was a part of that process. I don't think I will purchase a full bottle for myself, because I have better alternatives, but this is not bad.

Great cheapie
I get the comparison to Cerrutti 1881, but this is fresher, it has that ozonic feel (in a good way) especially in the opening. It's also a touch sweeter and fruitier. It has the vibe of red fruit or berries. I also get the comparison to Boss No. 1. Although it was a long time ago I wore that, I do remember the same, what can be percieved as a honey-accord on top of a classic men's perfume. This is worth buying and having in your collection. The quality is great, and it's dirt cheap.

Fresh, classic and blue
Around since 2001 and still selling like crazy. So I guess it must be called a 'classic'.

Looking at the note breakdown one would expect a different scent. Parfumos classification is "aquatic-citrusy" and that is much closer to the truth. I am sure the notes are correct, it's just that some of them (the woods, patchouli, amber, vanilla, tonka) play only a minor, supporting role. I would describe it as a citrus aquatic scent with some kiwi and peppar to make it unique and interesting.

It is nice as an after shave to use in warm weather. Refreshing and not overbearing, and soothing to the skin. Very affordable. Bottle horrendous. I would stay away from the EdT, as I suspect it is more synthetic, but I could be wrong. The shower gel is good as a body wash (not shampoo) after working out.

Great but...
This is a great perfume, but in my opinion no masterpiece. Jean Paul Guerlain made two masterpieces in men's perfumery, Vetiver (1959, together with his uncle) and Habit Rouge EdT (1965). They were ground breaking pieces of art back then, and still unique and wearable to this day. Already the name 'Heritage' implies that this is more of a hommage to or inspired by other perfumes. What I get is a spicy patchouli of great sophistication. Great, but no masterpiece, in my humble opinion.

French style
This is what a 'french gentleman' would smell like in a world full of stereotypes. It is a superb modern take on the original/this genre. It is strong and perfectly blended. If you should get this perfume really only depends on if it fits your personality and you will get enough wear out of it. Personally I struggled to find occasions to use it, and when I did I felt a bit self-conscious.
