my journey through the wide world of fragrances began in 1982. An apprenticeship and finally earning money. At the weekend, I went to the slopes with my buddies and everyone wanted to smell good. It was almost a little competition. Who had which perfume?
After the apprenticeship, this continued, only more extreme. You had even more money at your disposal and now you could afford 2 fragrances instead of 1. I think I sometimes tested half the perfumery on the hunt for the perfect fragrance. Among other things, I came across "Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme (1994) (Eau de Toilette) | Dolce & Gabbana" at some point. It immediately caught my nose and I wanted to smell it again and again.

2024: Now we have this wonderful community and you no longer need to sniff through all the fragrances and can narrow the list down to 2 - 3 fragrances. That's how I came across "Dolce & Gabbana pour Homme (2012) (Eau de Toilette) | Dolce & Gabbana", the current version. So I went to the "D", looked for a tester and sprayed it on the back of my hand.
Wow, the first impression was that it has hardly changed. The citrusy freshness of mandarin paired with neroli and bergamot made me reminisce. Early on, you immediately notice lavender and sage, which give the fragrance its soapy aroma. Pepper is fortunately very subtle.
Towards the end, it becomes pleasantly woody, with the citrusy and soapy notes continuing to dominate the fragrance.
The H/S are quite good. For me, the fragrance lasts 6-8 hours until it is only perceptible close to the skin.
The packaging itself is an eye-catcher! Dark blue covered with velvet. 115€ for 125 ml is a fair price .
Conclusion: I was skeptical, as many fragrances from the past have been ruined by reformulations. This cannot be said in this case.

Here it is, the new flanker from Boss Bottled. But apparently Boss has changed its direction. Whereas in the past, flankers were often released that were very arbitrary, the focus now seems to be on higher-quality fragrances. And in this case, they have more than succeeded.
About the fragrance:
The fragrance starts with a good dose of incense and cardamom, which I found almost a little too much at first
But then it becomes really interesting. For whatever reason, there's nothing in the ingredients about fruit and vanilla. And that's exactly what I perceive in combination with frankincense, which works perfectly in this combination.
It becomes a little woodier in the drydown, whereby the aforementioned combination is still preserved in the fragrance in a very acceptable way.
H/ S are above average. You will definitely stand out with this fragrance, but you should not overdose it. 4-6 sprays are enough to get you through the day. I can still smell it after 8 hours.
All in all, a very successful fragrance, which for me is similar to "Dior Homme Intense (2011) | Dior". But if you don't like the extremely powdery note of Dior, this fragrance is just right for you.

in 1986, when this fragrance came on the market, I fell in love with it and it accompanied me for several years. But after several reformulations he smelled more and more synthetic and 3 years ago I then disposed of the almost half-full bottle. Too big was the disappointment.
Today, call me calmly batty, but the memory of this spicy fragrance still haunted me, I saw him at Rossmann and the longing for this fragrance came up again in me. About the price you do not need to discuss , so I bought him after 3 years times again.
Arrived at home I sprayed him immediately on the palm of my hand.
Then the anxious waiting, when does this disgusting synthetic prevail and destroy this fragrance.
And.......after some time , nothing, he smelled, like old times! I have him now already several hours on the wrist and from synthetics no trace!
What did they do there?? I am totally surprised and delighted.
The fragrance is probably very close to the original woody, spicy , fresh. Ne smooth 10
The sillage is still exceptionally high, also here ne smooth 10.
Also in the shelf life has probably not changed . After several hours, it is still freshly tracked perceptible.
I have absolutely no idea what they did there, but this is an absolutely positive development , which does not let this fragrance die out. Now it remains only to hope that the aftershave is also produced again!
From me ne quite clear purchase recommendation!

...reformulation has nothing to do with the original, which I loved. This woody , spicy freshness had once fascinated me. Too bad, but I had me the fragrance out of curiosity times again zugelegt. To my dismay, this once formative scent very quickly devolved into pure synthetic. I hate this realization, but it is unfortunately the signs of the times

...careful. The first impression really surprised me. What rises to a spice in the nose, is almost unique. But has convinced me, because paired with the freshness had this fragrance what. So bought. The price is for this fragrance caliber yes cheap . But, and so it was at least with me, after a few days of use I felt this incredible sillage and durability also as something intrusive. All in all, however, an interesting fragrance with incredible durability!
