Surprising fragrance
Thanks to this great forum, the souk and the nice user @Malaga a sample of this fragrance has migrated to me, on which I was very excited for a long time. Thank you again for this opportunity.

Initial in the top note I perceive something herbaceous, green, probably the angelica seeds in combination with the spices. Then comes out in the heart note the incredibly authentic vanilla and dominates the top note. In the drydown first I clearly smell the pear and interestingly the scent becomes chocolaty, although there is nothing about that in the fragrance pyramid. This direct vanilla babam pulls back and stays in the background in the base. Both jasmine and cedar wood elude my perception.

All in all, a very elegant, high quality and well blended fragrance with a surprising progression from green herbaceous to chocolatey gourmand. I really like the authenticity of the vanilla and that pear chocolate cake base.

The longevity is mediocre, it lasts less than 8 hours on my skin and gets pretty skintight very quickly during drydown. On hair and clothing, on the other hand, it lasts much longer. The sillage is very subtle and more something for intimates, though I was also frugal with 3 sprays. If you put more on, it might be bigger. I will certainly test that again.
For me, it is a rather feminine fragrance, which fits well in autumn and winter, there but to any occasion, whether office or going out.

Although I like the fragrance very much, no bottle will move in with me, because for this performance, the price would be too high for me personally. Well possible, of course, that it lasts longer on other skin. A try I can recommend everyone, because the scent and the quality are really top

Somehow out of round
This fragrance I had ordered as a bottling to test other oud fragrances and because I wanted to get to know more perfumes of the brand Montale.
At the first spray I was directly surprised, because it dominates a strong animalic dirty oud, which covers all other notes. The fragrance takes a long time until I smell out a little bit of rose and then it becomes totally gourmandig, probably by the amber. There's no trace of floral in the base anymore and the oud also dilutes almost completely. The other fragrance notes remain completely hidden from me. Personally, I don't like this strong animalic oud and I don't find the notes interwoven. They seem more like stumbling in one after the other and slamming the door as they go. Somehow not elegant and subtle enough for me.
The durability, on the other hand, is good and the sillage moderate.
Unisex I find him moreover and would locate him rather for evenings out and in winter, because he is already quite offensive. In addition, I would not recommend him for a blind purchase. But who likes offensive fragrances with strong oud, could be right here.

By The Fireplace has burned itself into my memory..
That feeling of coming home, knowing that someone is waiting and taking you in their arms and not letting go. A feeling of safety, security and trust. All that triggers this fragrance with me. And it gives me great feelings of happiness when I smell it. No matter how silly the day is, I spray this on and I start grinning to myself. Probably my environment already thinks I'm slightly crazy. ;-)

I came to this fragrance through a dear contact in the Souk and am now the proud owner of a sample. Thanks at the point to @Needlesoup for this great opportunity.
I had to test it immediately, of course, and was already thrilled from the first spray. Initial is the fragrance very smoky and reminds as previously described of campfires. However, really to this cozy "sitting by the fire" and not this icky "cold smoke on the clothes the day after". One smells the wood very well out. Then in the drydown, the scent becomes gourmand delicious and the vanilla comes through along with something balsamic and cozy, probably the cashmeran and Peru balsam. The smokiness remains ever present though and together with the base they are woven together in great combination. I don't smell much of the top notes, felt the smoke dominates but it could be my nose, it's still a beginner after all. So overall a really great campfire, holiday, starry sky, wooden huts, cuddly scent and definitely not floral, fresh or fruity.
Do I want to smell like that? Yaaaaaa, just like that. :-D

About the shelf life, I can say that he is bomb. Holds with me loosely 14 hours plus and survives even a shower (yes, with soap^^). On clothes he keeps loose until the next day. The sillage is moderate, an arm's length I would say. A whole room he can not fill, I tried it at least with 6 sprays to make the test in the office. ;-)
I also find it completely unisex. Smells at my husband just as delicious. Wearable he is in my opinion also the whole year, because the cuddly in winter is super and in summer the campfire atmosphere also.

I am since I can think a little nomad and a lot on the road, constantly moving, always tearing down tents and rebuild, so I can not even locate my home in one place and feel but still sometimes homesick. Very paradoxical. But once I am at the supposed place "home", I want to leave again immediately. Somehow a restless life in search. But in the meantime I have found the feeling "home" in favourite people. When they are there, I am at home. And this fragrance just transports exactly that homey "being with favorite people" feeling of home, which gives me so much safety and security. That surprised me so positively, that a perfume can do that, that I must of course necessarily acquire the largest bottle on this planet.
To you I would advise: Try him necessarily, maybe he also ignites in you something magical but rather not buy him blindly.

Dark, duster, fidget spinner...
...Oud al Emarat.
This fragrance I had ordered as a sample on my trip, on which I tried to find out how oud smells. After I could make out in the one or the other fragrance Oud and liked low doses, I dared this attempt here. Well, I can successfully report: I now think I know what oud smells like. Unfortunately, however, I don't like it as much as I hoped.
Oud al Emarat is sinister. I smell extremely animalic and dirty oud out in the top note (where it isn't at all according to the fragrance pyramid) and also in the heart note. It's so dominant that I don't manage to perceive anything else. Only very late in the base do a bit of vanilla and tonka bean come in for my nose and soften the oud a bit, it becomes tamed and slightly creamier but is still dirty and animalic. It's not for me as a result, even though I like the creaminess of the base.
The durability is insane. It lasts and lasts and lasts forever. On clothes I perceive him even several days. The sillage I would rate as moderate at two sprays.
I find him overall rather masculine by the spiciness of the oud and see him particularly suitable on very cold snowy days.
I come with him unfortunately so not at all clear and now have an orphaned sample here. For me, a total mistake. But for Oudliebhaber and brave people who like very very dark fragrances determined just right.

Outgrow the scent...
This is the fragrance of my youth, my first own perfume in my life, which I received as a gift. The intangible value of it cannot be outweighed by that. At the time it seemed like a treasure, I felt incredibly grown up and wore it sparingly on very special occasions so it would just never run out. It struck me as very sweet and fruity, fitting for my age somehow. But I outgrew the scent, faster than I could use it up, and didn't like smelling it anymore. Although it will always have a place in my heart, my nose can't smell it anymore. The sweetness is just too much for me
