HOW can I not have commented on THAT?!!!??!!!
Oh dear, it's been in the Lauder!!! fragrances for YEARS and he "doesn't get in touch"?
Or have I pretty much forgotten about it? Now I was looking for a certain perfume, which I did find, but this "carriage", rediscovered by "chance", is my main interest at the moment. What a chypre treasure!
It begins warmly with sunny citrus fruits and some conifer greenery. Fine aldehydes bring everything together harmoniously. Then the first blossoms immerse the fragrance in a spring-like sea of flowers, with lily of the valley and the first blue irises making an appearance.
Gradually more and more are added - roses from the climbing bush, delicate jasmine, cool gardenia, all only very subtly "sweetened" with great radiance. Fine powders give an aftertaste that already hints at the base, here it is definitely MOOSIG-HOLZIG
But no previous phase of the perfume is overlaid or even "thrown out", it simply blends in as if it had been there from the start.
A wonderful "vintage" fragrance, with the wooden wheels of a "noble carriage" from the distant past turning. With a four-in-hand horse in front and slightly worn leather seats under a linen canopy.
Truly not a fragrance to "almost forget" - one that teaches you to rave and deserves a corresponding review ;-))

Why only soap your chin?
....From a "mature gentleman"? I can also "reach for the bottle", because I also like it as a woman. A spritz or two on the arms, two or three drops on the neck, I like to smell these fragrances. It starts the day with fine charm. It comes across as slightly oriental, with lemon freshness and spices. Special feature: the allspice and clove combination, which is supported by delicate flowers.
Later, it becomes warm and balsamic with cinnamon, smoke, woods and dark vanilla. Always with small "teasing" interludes of aldehydes and cool iris. A "small but fine daytime fragrance" with moderate longevity and quite subtle sillage. But do you always have to drag a long trail of fragrance behind you? Sometimes a subtle fragrance aura that wraps itself around the wearer like a second skin is enough.
Not "too bad" only after shaving. But a fragrance like this can scent much more than a man's face. "Misappropriate"? YES, PLEASE!

Dark green with a little "leather"
This rare fragrance fell into my hands again while going through my "Fougéres". At the very back of the drawer that I use to store this type of perfume. Almost forgotten and uncommented on. This will now be made up for, as this "leather fragrance" has earned its name with dignity.
What emerges when you sniff it again cannot be associated with "leather" at all. It is a very pleasant dark green-scented "fougére", a forest-moss-fern-grass-earth- vetiver fragrance with a beautiful lavender-rosemary top note, which also resonates discreetly throughout the fragrance. The "leather", very subtle in the heart and base, smells of green-tart birch tar and fine bitter-green galbanum in a woody duet.
In terms of the basic fragrance, I place it between "Quorum (Eau de Toilette) | Puig" and "Drakkar Noir (Eau de Toilette) | Guy Laroche". A powerful, pleasantly aromatic "mixture" that nevertheless remains independent. Similarities are probably not necessarily coincidental, but well done, somewhat darker and more mossy. Not a "trend fragrance" - but I like it very much :-))

Fine composition--orange on cedar with tart powders!
Yes, the "old" fragrance houses that are exclusively dedicated to perfumes have become quite rare. Fortunately, there is the good "Fragonard", which is very fair in terms of price-performance ratio.
And they have already composed some extraordinary, but often very undervalued fragrances. This one is one of them. Although more recent, the "scent" itself is timeless. Without too much fuss, there is a wonderfully fresh and warm orange note, supported by its blossoms (neroli), bright, cool bergamot and fine cedarwood. Patchouli adds a small pinch for "grounding" and deepening, along with a wondrously wonderful "balsamic" nasal delight!
All without any "sultriness", but with very delicate, tart powders. This "after-smell" adds an additional finesse. By no means an "everyday fragrance" in the sense of "mainstream", far from "cheap junk", not exactly "niche", but close. Perfect for all seasons, because "Bel Oranger" contains all facets of different "temperatures". Warming on cold days, refreshing in the heat. Delicate for spring, tart for fall. Not every fragrance can do that :-))
It's nice that something like this still exists ! / or again? exists!

Variations from icy to warm
With "Nexa Immortal", I have an affordable "newcomer" in front of my nose that is more complex than the price would suggest. The high-quality bottle with the best spray atomization contains a fragrance that is constantly changing in a pastel kaleidoscopic way.
The first impression of cold ice lemon is reminiscent of "Ostwind", which can sometimes even make you shiver on very clear and warm early summer days. A little later, spices greet you. Pepper supports the cool impression, while cardamom "simulates" the warmth of the sun. An alternating bath of temperatures, sometimes reminiscent of water, sometimes of the forest, sometimes of meadow herbs. Woods that smell in the shade. Water from the sea that warms slightly under the sun and adds a delicate "aquatic" / slightly salty scent to its aromas with beach grass and other grasses and a few spices.
This has a very sophisticated effect, especially as the perfume lingers for quite a long time and plays out all its "jokers" until the far end. A hint of lemon, pepper, amber and woods then remains, close at hand. Still changing with the temperatures ;-))
