Pleasant and conservative men's fragrance...
Thierry Wasser is a genius. He must be one of the best perfumers of our time. It's so often I try a fragrance, which has a terrific progression, evolving gently but clearly and naturally from top to heart to base, and which I love the smell of, and it proves to be another creation of Wasser.

This one opens so deliciously. One of the best starts I've smelled. The cherry is yummy but not too sweet. There's a leathery dryness, a tonka beans soft sweetness, a sandal woodiness that balances it all fantastically.

When it dries and the cherry is almost gone, there's a spicy smokiness that's different and just as gorgeous. A bit sweetness under it, rose? vanilla? tonka? still bound together by sandalwood.

Then when I think it's through, it progressed into yet another phase... How?!?! Seems like the cherry returns or is it rose? Becomes almost a bit fresher, does the bergamot from the initial blast pop up again. And suddenly there's a bitter almond. I have problems with almonds, my skin doesn't "give" it easily or my nose doesn't detect it easily. But there it is, popping up from under the rest and having me wonder if it gave a kind of magic to it all the whole way?

Yeah, this is pure alchemy. How can someone create a naturally evolving fragrance like this, where's so much (but not too much) to enjoy and keeps on going with clearly different facets. Masterfully blended. Hat off to you, Mr. Wasser! And Delphine Yelk of course encountered her name more often as well in great fragrances. This is one to love and cherish, and it's affordable... Gonna count my pennies.

Weekend is so uplifting and sunny
This is my all-time favorite scent. Make a list and it is a number 1.

Here's why. I personally buy perfume based on my feelings, not on the scent or how they perform.

When I was young, like very very young, my friend's brother used this one. He is very handsome but his style is free-spirited and fearless/carefree personality.

I adored him so much and this Burberry weekend and D&G Light Blue are always on his vanity. I saw him spraying one or two before going out. He is always smelling so good, and this is the first scent that made me into the world of fragrance.

Every time I wear this, it always brings back to my childhood. A good memory. A loving past.

How many weekend bottles I used? 7 and I still have two 100ml as a backup.

I love Citrusy fragrance so this is the number one, all the time. I don't care about whether the weather is hot or cold. But however, I might have 20 bottles to wear based on the occasions, but if it is the weekend, this is one, there is no other.

Extraordinary Gem by Carolina Herrera
You get a blast of sweet-freshness and then the fragrance quickly follows into a dominant and masculine scent with a noticeable leather and whiskey note with a decent amount of spiciness from the cardamom.

It's a nice fragrance but is far too overhyped... and just does not excel in any individual category, in my opinion...

I'm not quite sure in which circumstance I would ever wear this fragrance over any others in my collection...

Date-night? So many better options. Big Social Events? Much better performing and smelling and attention-grabbing scents available.

As usual, if you love it, then, rock it confidently.

Back in Business
I recently found myself craving it and decided to get a full-size bottle (along with Prive since that was discontinued apparently).

I can say that I missed this and I’m glad to have it back.
This stuff is just delicious. You get the honey, plum, hazelnut, and fruits, and comes together to be a sickly sweet but fresher fragrance.
It lasts quite a bit on my skin as well, at least 7 or so hours, and radiates quite well off me as well.

Though I still acknowledge that it has some unisex qualities I can see this leaning slightly more male.

As I said, I had this once and let it go, then was glad I got it back again (much like Y EDP). Unlike that this might not be as versatile as that I love wearing this just for myself.
It’s super solid for this fall weather and can see it working in more mild spring weather as well. Glad I have it back!

Reflection of my OWN!
So, I've had an interesting experience with Reflection Man that I would like to share. I've been searching for a male floral fragrance to add to my collection and several people suggested I try Reflection. Upon my first sniff, I was reminded of JPG, as so many other people have stated, even though I haven't smelt JPG for years.

Although there are obvious similarities, that's not to say they are the same. Reflection is smoother, more refined, and obviously better quality. I would describe this fragrance as a sweet floral on a creamy woody base with a very slight hint of spice. There's nothing else I can add regarding its fragrance profile that hasn't been saying a hundred times below.

I decided to purchase a full bottle, for starters, the smell is slightly different in that it's a bit sharper and spicier. Although I'm testing from memory it doesn't seem quite as smooth as the first bottle that I sent back, although the difference is minor.

However, the new bottle's main difference is in performance. Not only does it last significantly longer, but it also projects much more too and is much more in keeping with the performance I would expect from this house and price point - I've been wearing it all day and it's still projecting nicely. My new bottle is made in Oman.

I know both bottles are legit and not fake so is there really a difference between 'made in the UK' and 'made in Oman' bottles or does Reflection Man suffer from batch variations? I'm certainly pleased I tried another bottle!

I'm sharing this because I know many people have been put off because of performance issues, so it might be worth shopping around to find a 'made in Oman' bottle if you like this fragrance.
