Honestly, I have wondered about comparisons with Oud Wood and the term ,,clone" seems downright ridiculous to me. The scents are miles away from each other, I would speak at most of a similar category. A good indicator is my partner, who adores Oud Wood. When I first put on Private Oud just before I met her, she just asked me what smells so penetrating and really bad here. I admit that I was a bit shocked about this extremely negative reaction, because I definitely perceived Privat Oud as a completely different scent, but not so negative. However, I too have to confirm a musty accord in the drydown that becomes very dominant and further negatively impacts the initial impression. There is no question that no real oud is included, or at least no oil of the category 1A. Because there are supposed to be much cheaper, genuine oud, but that contains undesirable fragrance chords (one of them is musty, as in a damp, moldy apartment). My guess is that they tried to cover up this accord with other oriental oils but it comes through later. For fine noses, however, there is definitely no resemblance to Oud Wood. Are you equipped with such and looking for a cheaper alternative to TF Oud Wood, this is not for you

...the shelf life is underground bad. Yes, the fruity freshness reminds a bit of Aventus, but it lacks the smoky depth, for me therefore no clone. I'm sad to say that to me it's cheating to sell fragrances that are already 90% gone after 10 minutes, even on hair and clothes, and this is another one of them. An extreme difference from Authentic By Night, which has strong sillage and good performance. And that good and cheap fragrances can still have a brutal performance, shows for example Davidoff Cool Water Intense or Davidoff Horizon Extreme

What should I capitalize? Sauvage is top 3 in signature fragrances here for a reason. Mine was 2015, right after I first wore it. It has been and still is a hydrogen bomb, especially in the ladies' world - because it suits me, I wear it and not it me, it seems to develop especially on my skin, because ladies who know it in principle perceive me differently are almost numb. But also I myself still love this DNA, even though I don't wear it as often as in the first years. Impressive are the frequent compliments I still get with it, it's just fun! ?
I expect it to be reformulated soon, so I bought another 200ml and it is still as strong as it was in 2015

Bought on 20.11.2020, DNA a dream, the absolute madness, performance does not exist, even on a woollen scarf after one hour completely disappeared, performance also not present, only perceptible when the nose is a few centimeters away. I have tested it several times, let different people smell, unfortunately always with the same result: Perceptible for a few minutes shortly after spraying on at least 5-6 charges, then about another hour if you come close to me to a few centimeters. Because I couldn't believe it, I went back to Douglas and let the tester diesel it - according to my girlfriend even worse than from my bottle. I therefore assume that the fragrance must have undergone a severe reformulation, otherwise I can't explain the extreme discrepancy between the evaluations here and my personal experiences. We have to assume that new fragrances are only of high quality for a couple of years, after that you want to make a lot of money with your lovers, you put on a few years, so to speak, in order to win as many signature wearers as possible, who then perhaps don't notice that the quality of the fragrance has greatly deteriorated due to the olfactory blindness that comes with frequent use

Blindbuy (definitely my last) due to the hypes. Unfortunately I can't do anything with it, I only smell obtrusive pepper, very synthetic and somewhere in the background, very far away and quietly a possible hint of apple. Durability is very good, which logically annoyed me in this case. It was also not well received by the ladies at all, I only got very negative comments, which confirmed my personal impression. But that's the way it is with some fragrances, they are not right for everyone
