The HEROd of tobacco fragrances!
Let me first say this, different patches vary in smell and longevity, Nevertheless...... When i smell Herod on somebody i feel like saluting this person, it's the smell of confident, masculine kings, definitely among the very best tobacco scents ever..
SCENT:
The tobacco note is soft and easy to like even if you're not a fan of this note, the added sweetness which is masterfully blended makes it exceptionally sexy & appealing to women.
SILLAGE & LONGEVITY:
both average. Longevity varies but.... this isn't a versatile smell, it's not a clubbing beast either, it's for nights out & dates in cold weather, it will surely carry you for the night but you probably won't smell it any longer when you get home.
It's wrestling Layton on top my PdM list... go buy it.. now

Amber scents don't get much better than this!
Let me first say this is not similar in any way to Layton, one common thing however, both are KINGS!
This is a must try for all amber lovers, and non-amber fans too! can't dislike this one...

Gorgeous woody amber scent, very unique, very sexy, not daring, can't be over-sprayed, more masculine, Sillage and Longevity are around average, doesn't change much on dry down.
VERSATILITY:
Versatile, however perfect for cold season date nights, very sexy!

This has to be in every top 10 lists ever, best vanilla fragrance ever, no similar perfumes, Ajmal amber wood is NOT similar and i don't understand why some people think it is...

Opening is terrific spicy with strong satisfying apple note, one of PdM bests, Vanilla kicks in quickly and lasts FOREVER on clothing! vanilla fragrances can't get any better than that. attractive as hell! (p.s: hell is not really attractive lol!)

It's a must try for every-one, HOWEVER, it's not suitable for all characters & personalities, it smells more like a sensible, smart, perfect looking guy.
VERSATILITY:
It's versatile, Spring-Fall perfume, for winter days too, however, for winter cold nights out it's less suitable as well as for hot summer days
one last thing; you can't judge Layton based on Layton Exclusif! try both and pick your favorite, very opinion splitting however, they complete each others.

I was very excited to smell this, probably the most hyped PDM recently, I've been a huge fan of Layton & Herod, i was expecting something very special, and it was, BUT...
The opening was very disappointing, I smell a lot of nutmeg and I don't like it, I waited cautiously for the dry down which was a huge lift up, the nutmeg faded away and a beautifully blended vanilla kicked in...
Overall, it's a very beautiful unique scent, not the best from PDM, i think 8,4 does represent it well.
Everyone should try Carlisle, but not a blind buy.
UPDATE: after having it for some time now, i'm growing in disappointment, still can stand the opening and can't find a reason to pick this one up over any other PdM when i go out, this is the one PdM that you should never blind buy the most... i'm lowered my rating
