One of the best chypres, maybe even the best chypre I've tested. Well balanced, fresh, fruity but not too sweet, clean and cheerful like spring. A worthy member of the classic chypres family. To me, it's most similar to Y by YSL, but not as dry as Y. And of course, no longer produced. What a shame!

At first, Cinema smells almost bitter, like bitter almond perhaps, and a bit pungent. I'm not a big fan of the first notes, honestly. :) But after a few minutes, that bitterness is gone and I smell tangerine with a hint of almond. The tangerine is not fresh, without the sharp citrusy notes, a bit sweet and powdery. There is also some amber in the base, kind of in the similar style as Casmir Chopard. I found the scent particularly nice when I was out and about in the cold morning, it really came through in the chilly air.

This is love is a nude variation of Just Rock!: a slightly diluted base of Just Rock with vanilla, wood and a touch of patchouli. Vanilla has a chocolaty tone here. At the beginning THis is love smells a bit chemical, then it gets better. The scent is light and transparent, but with good longevity: I could still feel it 12 hours later. Just Rock definitely has more character and is more recognizable. This is love, on the other hand, sounds a bit washed out and safe, it's unlikely to evoke a strong reaction. Pleasant, but for me it's not special enough to make me buy a bottle

Princess is powdery and sweet with a hint of spiciness at the beginning (ginger). The scent is like a cozy scarf in winter: cozy, well "rounded" so that nothing disturbs it. Very good longevity. It's not a masterpiece, but a scarf doesn't have to be a masterpiece whose purpose is to keep me warm. Princess also manages to keep me warm and in a good mood on a grey winter's day, as well as bringing joy to those around me. Would I purchase a bottle? Probably not, as there are other, more affordable "crowd-pleasers" out there. I did have fun with our brief acquaintance though

Red Rose actually has nothing to do with rose: it's a copy of Flower by Kenzo. The name 'Red rose' comes from the red flower on Kenzo's packaging. The oil is a little softer than Flower, not as haunting, but not as complex either. Overall, a nice and very affordable sweet-powdery fragrance. I wear it more at home: it's too simple for going out.
