Polo, my brother!
I don't care what anybody says, this stuff is NOT Burberry London LoL. And let's be real - if you buy a Varvatos frag, you're also buying a travel atomiser. 'Nuff said. That's just how we keep the good times rollin'.

And guys, Vintage is one hell of a good time, let me tell you. If you're a cowboy, this is your scent. If you're on the prowl for cougars in the nether-regions of a desert town, this is you. Mexican? Well...let's not stereotype...

But if you've ever seen a John Wayne movie, everyone in there is wearing Vintage. Just look at the note pyramid and you'll notice that it shares 5 prominent notes with Ralph Lauren's Polo - tobacco, leather, patchouli, juniper berry and some kind of pine. So can you blame it for smelling so similar in the drydown? Sure you can! But to me, it's actually a tad smoother and more well-rounded - easier on the nose. That's why I like to think of this as Polo's little brother. And I just love it. It's basically 90s masculinity in a bottle.

So if you're a fan of the original Polo formulation, but found it a little too sharp, you'll find something in here for you at like half the cost. Well, plus the atomizer. Let's not kid ourselves...

Unisex delicious-ness with outstanding value.
Zara? Really? Yes, indeed. The first time I smelled this, it felt dry and nutty. The second time I smelled this, it felt sweet and chocolatey. The third time I smelled this, I swore. Like, several times. It just smelled THAT GOOD.

Simultaneously, this has that nuttiness from Valentino Uomo, combined with that trademark cheap, crystalline sweetness contained in most Zara frags, but with an A*Men-ish type base. That would be the chocolate. To me, it basically smells like a chocolatey, sugary-nut candy body lotion - if you can imagine that. If you've smelled Black Phantom by Kilian, you pretty much know Indeterminee. That one is a little more rich and dense, but the elements are all there.

Don't even bother with the note pyramid or what they say on the box. To me it makes absolutely no sense. This stuff is all base notes and has BEAST MODE longevity and projection - so be careful on the sprays. And can you guess how much it cost? Yeah. That's why I have 3 bottles. The value is just IN-SANE.

Yep. A*Men on an ultra-budget.
Most people know about Cuba Prestige, but how many people know about this gem??? For the same price as 35 mL of Prestige, you can get 100 mL of this baby. We're talkin' dirt-cheap. And it works awesome as a layering fragrance because it essentially lacks the depth of the original A*men and much of the sweetness of Prestige.

Off the top, the similarity is something like 90-95%, but after about an hour, you can tell that there's a lot missing. The patchouli is there, and so is chocolate, but it's rather DRY and fleeting - not exactly the best quality. But who cares? Add this before Pure Malt, Pure Havane and even Pure Wood, and you've got a yourself some added muscle without overloading on the sugar.

Personally, I love to put this on my arm at home, just to get the feel of A*Men without using up the OG. Like I said, it's fairly modest so there's no need to worry about unleashing a beast. Thumbs up for value. Word.

Bring on the nostalgia!
Imagine taking a clementine, ok...creating the aromatic version...and JAMMING it up your nose. BAM! Add some pine and you've got it. Clemen-pine. Super sharp. I'm talkin' SHARP. S-H-R-P, I mean S-H-A RRRR-P. Think Sung homme or Aspen sharp. Yeah.

This stuff is wicked fresh, and takes me straight back to highschool. Man, I can't believe I still have the original bottle, but its uses are limited. It's basically relegated to casual situations in the heat. After that initial sharp blast it actually tames quite a bit and you're left with a citrusy-green type of scent. No backbone and with average longevity, sorry. But after all this time, chicks still dig it, just like the original Tommy. Go figure.

Fruity, fresh, transparent
Like most people, I wasn't expecting a great deal from Original Penguin, but this was a pleasant surprise. It's basically a sweet, violet rosemary scent with a little minty lime on top. The overall feel is extremely fresh and invigorating from the start, and I honestly prefer this over Nautica Voyage, if you can believe it. It's completely linear with no development, and the longevity is on par for a freshie.

I have absolutely no idea what driftwood smells like, but there's definitely no vetiver here. The backbone comes from the density of sweetness that envelops the composition, so don't expect any woods. In fact, if frosted glass had a smell, this would be it. Absolutely love that bottle, and for the price, this is a superbly safe beginner's freshie. Rock on, OP.
