This is, dare I say a better version of Belle d’opium? I love the original Yve Saint Laurent offering but sadly it was discontinued. I took a chance on a bottle of this without testing as for the price point, I figured I had nothing to lose.
Not only is this an excellent copy but actually has more depth and plumminess!

The idea that notes used were ones that were in use in 1914 and the mention of the suffragettes intrigued me. I love a good lavender so had to give this one a whirl. I’m so glad I did, the vibe I get from this scent is that of the smell of the pavement after the rain, thatsmell that you get? But next to the pavement is a small lavender bush that wafts and mingles withthe after rain, pavement smell. Sounds ridiculous I know bu smells divine, very unique!

This is sublime, it starts with a strong cut flowers aroma from the lily, white flowers and rose, then iris appears and dries down onto a woody base. It’s a limited edition which is a shame as it could quite easily become a wardrobe staple.

This is an incredibly beautiful spring/ summer fragrance. The mint is so refreshing not toothpaste like but is very prominent on first spray so go easy! Once it settles the mint remains but more subdued than that first blast and is blended really well with the other notes. I get the violet and grassy notes and really enjoy it just wish it was slightly cheaper price wise.

I very much like this fragrance, it’s so easy to wear. The pink grapefruit lends it a freshness and is blended beautifully with the rose, cotton candy and musk. I’ts not too sweet and i like that and it smells different.Longevity is about 2 to 3 hours on me but well worth a respray.
