Soft autumn dream
Before I bought the fragrance, I had already heard a lot about him. It is one of the more popular Jo Malones and based on the many positive opinions, I wanted to test it. The first time I tested it I put it on a sample card and took it home. When I sprayed it on I classified the fragrance as spicy and floral, but cardamom clearly dominated. Once at home, I did not find the scent bad at all, on the contrary. I liked the now delicate, unobtrusive soft note. However, it did not knock me off my feet. During the second test, the extremely pleasant and courteous customer consultant sprayed the scent on a card and on my arm. After half an hour she recommended that I sniff my arm. I did and VOILA, I HAD MY NEW FAVORITE Scent. The longer I waited, the more the initially spicy note faded away and the mimosa was blended with sandalwood and tonka to form a wonderfully soft cream. This softness gives the fragrance something feminine, although I generally classify the fragrance as unisex. Cardamom combined with light, soft notes creates an ideal balance between masculine and feminine.
Warm and soft fragrances like this are great to wear on cold days. I didn't think that any fragrance would be as perfect for autumn as this one (normally I don't like to classify fragrances in seasons, but this one is just ideal for rainy days) which is why it enriches my perfume collection since this week:)
In addition to the spicy and floral, I would also describe it as fresh. Not as citrusy or pungent fresh, but rather as roundingly fresh. With a cologne, freshness is of course not surprising.
Regarding the intensity I can only say that the scent is strong in any case. Whoever sprays a few splashes will noticeably smell strong. The durability of my products is so lala..
A few more words about the bottle: it is incredibly simple, yet very elegant and above all handy (have the large size with 100ml).
Think that the small flacon would be ideal too, especially for the handbag.
Conclusion: If you are looking for soft fragrances with recognition value, you will get your money's worth here. A spicy start and a soft, creamy flow, embedded in cultivated freshness. Perfect for everyday use (a few sprayers are enough).

Powdery lilies- dream in summer
I ordered the scent back then to take with me on my vacation in Italy. And it was wonderful! Not just the holiday, but the scent too. Italy and Meringue Vole, that stayed with me in my memories and it is definitely a summer scent for me
Meringue Vole is pure lily! All fragrances here are made of lily and you can smell it accordingly. Actually I don't like intense flowery green scents, but here the lily is so finely and nobly processed that you can't stop holding your nose to the bottle. In the course of time Meringue Vole becomes super warm and powdery
I think it also smells very green ( in the prelude), which is probably due to the fact that the lily has been almost completely incorporated here. A minus point goes to durability and sillage. Unfortunately the smell does not last long with me.
I can highly recommend the fragrance to all who like floral scents. Is and remains one of my favourites among the summer scents

Creamy dream
Bal D'Afrique is one of my absolute favourites, the one in front.
The fragrance is a mixture of floral-fruity-creamy. Also slightly sweetish. A mixture that I love!! Especially here. While I classify the other Byredo scents as either too pungent or slow to unfold, this one is completely different. It's warmer and very pleasant, not an extreme candidate. Not extremely creamy, not extremely floral or fruity. All in a very pleasant measure and harmony. The fragrance unfolds relatively quickly and then stays that way. I would rather classify it as feminine.
As to durability and sillage: one of the few shortcomings. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long, rather short, which is a pity considering the great scent. Especially with the relatively high price. Another shortcoming (at least for me): the scent is quite well known by now, so you often smell it in everyday life. That takes away its uniqueness a little. But as we all know, it's hard to prevent that in the internet age:))
I would definitely recommend him despite the price. If you like to smell well-groomed and yet pleasantly striking, Bal D'Afrique is just right for you!

Wonderfully noble fragrance
I ordered the perfume as a blind purchase at the time, based on the reviews here on the website. I was thrilled from the very first time I smelled it! You definitely smell the rose, but not this pungent rose. It's very delicate and sweet too, but not disturbingly sweet. The scent is so well composed that the sweetness does not disturb at all. I had seen a YouTuberin who said that you cannot describe the scent. And I quickly realized that it is an indescribable scent. I recommend it to anyone who wants to smell extravagant and flowery. In my opinion you can wear the fragrance in every season and on all occasions, especially in everyday life. Regarding the durability: unfortunately the only shortcoming, it lasts, but loses intensity quickly. You can smell it even after hours, but only slightly. In my opinion it could be more intense.
Otherwise, top! Smell even still at the empty flacon, if I need good mood :)
Definitely a fragrance I could keep buying!
