Hedwig's feather dress
"I can't even describe what this scent smells like to me - all I know is that I can't stop smelling you!" my best friend said to me as we spent an afternoon at the perfumery. I w/had to choose between two scents and let her sniff both wrists without letting her know which scents they were. Also my tendency went again and again to Frederic Malle - I could not leave my nose also from my Handgekenk.

And exactly this sentence, which she pronounced, hits the nail on the head. This fragrance is difficult to describe: Nothing loud, nothing intrusive. Leau d'hiver is intimate, close to the skin, powdery, warm and cold at the same time, dry, I get minimal lipstick vibes, seductive. A hug, a gray, light cashmere blanket, which I put around my shoulders in the evening and look dreamily out the icy window to watch fine, small, falling snowflakes. Or if I were to romanticize this scent in another way, I would see Hogwarts in the deepest, darkest winter and Hedwig turning her circles around the castle in her white, elegant, soft feathers.

Fruity sweet tooth
A fruity sweet, full-bodied dessert - that's Erba Pura for me. My fear was that it would be too scratchy and smoky for me, as I have already heard and read comparisons to Dahab Kajal. This is not the case at all in my opinion. Erba Pura comes across as slightly smoky in the first 5-6 seconds, but up close you perceive a wonderful, delicious mango lassi. Once it dries down it is joined by a creamy, soft vanilla. This makes it a delicious fruit, mango (cream) cream for me. The H/S is great, even after more than 8 hrs I notice Erba Pura on me - without it getting on my nerves. Who has a desire for a few decent calories, without having to have a guilty conscience, is exactly right here ;)

Very... authentic?
First of all: snowy owl is a very authentic fragrance for me. It seems cool, wet, icy, green. I smell bitter, wet moss in the opening - probably the mate in combination with snow. After about 10 min it becomes a little sweeter - but still icy bitterness and the oak moss is clearly perceptible. As already said: authentic - a zoologist. but for me nothing suitable for everyday use. Has on my skin something of wet basement the first minutes, which are difficult for me to bear. Gradually the icy, bitter cold disappears. Here I notice the white feathers. A little dusty but soft. Interesting. But not my preference of scents. However, worth an experience and smell.

Stylish
Through plum, rhubarb and patchouli, the rose is pleasantly soft and yet spicy, oriental. Sandalwood and vanilla creep quietly, silently and secretly after a long wait inconspicuously forward to the patchouli. Noble and high-quality appearance without being overdressed and yet stylish "dressed".

Cape Town at the old timber market
Cape Town - my second home and this scent catapults me non-stop to Capetown to the Old Wood Market, which unfortunately no longer exists as it once was, it had to give way because of the Green Point football stadium. At this market, there was always stall after stall, row after row of wonderful handmade specialities - mostly made of wood. Lots of people, dry warmth or even heat, light brown dusty floor, warm creaminess close to the skin and warm dark wood were always the smells I noticed at this market. This scent gives me a feeling of home when I close my eyes, it gives me the warmth and sun of South Africa - and also a bit of homesickness and wanderlust
