Newly discovered classic
Immediately after spraying a very distinctive "alcohol freshness" rises to the nose, you can like, but you do not have to. After a short time, however, this all overshadowing note and gives way to a pleasant interplay of pleasant fruity freshness (similar to Versace Man Eau Fraîche) and a slight spiciness. The ratios of the various components are not clearly discernible to me as a borrower, but they feel enormously rounded and optimally coordinated. As the fresh aquatic elements slowly fade away, however, the absolute unique selling point of the perfume becomes apparent. The incredibly good, earthy incense note combined with a very subtle but perceptible woodiness. Wow. I associate it with washed up, already half dried wood on the beach, somehow that's the first thing that pops into my head. However, the silage weakens considerably with this change, close to the skin the smell is still perceptible for sure 8 hours, on the clothes still the next day. I am absolutely addicted. This "depth" is found rather rarely in fresh summer fragrances, AdG masters it perfectly, however, and has thus earned a permanent place in my small collection

Childhood
I don't think I'll be the first to positively associate this awesome thing with the oil you got rubbed on your chest when you, as a kid had bronchitis. Not at all medicinal, stinky, rather soothing due to delicious herbs, slightly spicy and lively. After a while the spiciness subsides and makes way for super creamy/delicious scents, light damp tobacco smell, light woody notes, still accompanied, but a bit more subtle, by the yummy herbs. The bottle looks very chic, the processing is quite ok, for the price, the attention should be more on the fragrance itself. The "integrated" spray head, so the lidless system is quite functional for "normal" use, but in a backpack / suitcase it can come to a fragrant surprise. Sillage is good, nothing earth shattering. At Corona times, this fragrance will not stand out anyway, but he does not want to :)

Party flashbacks in Corona times
Before I come to my personal opinion, it should be mentioned that Eros is quite popular in the ladies' world after personal experience. But this is also the biggest weakness of the fragrance. It is very easy to like, has too few "rough edges" for individualists. The prelude shortly after application is shared by mint, lemon and apple in a very pleasant proportion, the vanilla note already penetrates easily, but you can't begin to guess at first how well it will develop. Over the course of several hours, the fresh top notes are gradually replaced by a powerful vanilla paired with a subtle woody/rosy warm note. Linear and pleasant, easy to like. In general, it should be mentioned that the lemon notes of Versace are simply horny, delicious and sweet (cf. Versace man eau fraiche). You don't have to add too much to the H/S; for an EdT in the upper range. Even in times of zoom and co. instead of convivial evenings with friends, the scent is still worth a sure blind purchase. You get what you expect, no more and no less :)

Flashback
The scent reminds me 1:1 of the time when my old friend Nick, we must have been about 14 years old, got his first perfume from his parents. Nothing expensive, nothing special but somehow such a delicious perfume had to smell. Nothing exactly definable, a composition of 100 different things just to smell like an adult. In the meantime I don't like the whole thing anymore. Smells a bit 0815. Only the fresh alcoholic note in the first 30 minutes has something of its own. The shelf life is within a tolerable range for the price, but it is not good at all. The sillage is medium to good, the bottle serves its purpose, but nothing more. You can give the fragrance to a 14 year old without hesitation. For everything beyond that it has too little expressiveness

"Smell like James Bond"
This description comes from a review of this fragrance on Youtube. Independently of that I've read it several times elsewhere on the internet, I couldn't wait to test this scent. The bottle makes a solid impression in terms of appearance and workmanship. Somehow it simply fits to a car brand. The fragrance has a very intense smell of alcoholic notes, some cinnamon and sage. The rum notes are not for everyone, I like it. But when these alcoholic components fade away with time, a strong leathery smell comes through paired with a subliminal sweetness that reminds a bit of vanilla. The shelf life is above average, but with time nothing exciting happens in the development. The scent is rather something for an older wearer, I miss that certain something that would have made the scent more exciting. Roger Moore would have been a James Bond, to whom the fragrance would have suited. A Daniel Craig, on the other hand, is too daring for that, it would have been too monotonous
