Goodbye, JC!
Do you know that, that moment of farewell with someone who has been with you for a long time but never really close to you? I had that moment with JC all of a sudden today. I had it for seven years and today I sprayed the last drops of the opaque 30ml travel bottle, so I could never determine the exact level and the end came as a surprise. And to be honest with you... i'm getting a little sad and wistful that it should be over with us already, although we were never really fat. 7 years ago, when I was 20, JC came into my life as a birthday present from my mother. Unfortunately I didn't like him very much because of the tuberose - tuberose was (and still is) a difficult candidate for me. I associated with her fine, serious noble ladies. My boyfriend at the time, however, thought he was great, fresh and youthful. So he led a shadowy existence in my manageable perfume collection (the perfume, not the boyfriend). For seven years JC remained quietly and patiently by my side, accompanied me through my studies and even during my semester abroad. Even when my boyfriend broke up with me at some point, JC was still there. He wasn't jealous when I bought other perfumes that I liked better and emptied them in no time. In the warm springtime, he was there when I felt like it. To the sparkling fresh, really "juicy" watermelon in the entry, which reminded me of D&G L'Imperatrice. To the shrill, loud, yet transparent and fresh tuberose with hints of lilies. And to the hardly noticeable, rounding sweetness at the end with crème brulée, vanilla and caramel. Yes, sometimes I really just wanted to smell of flowery, fine lady in spring. Then you were there for me. Goodbye, JC! Maybe we'll see (or smell) each other again sometime. :')

No Happy End
Oops, still uncommented?

My father brought me a sample of this fragrance and of course it was immediately tried on the skin. The other Blooms I don't know, so I can't make any comparison.

I can immediately describe the top note as brightly shining, for which the ginger with the rose is probably responsible. The combination is quite refreshing and I feel invigorated. A nice first impression!

After the radiant entry, a soft, round tuberose comes towards me, which nestles up against my arm and won't let go of it for half a day (it probably holds even better on clothes!). I'm certainly not a tuberose fan, but here it is in harmony with the other two notes (which I can hardly smell out) neither too pungent nor too chewing-gum-like, but so pleasant and soft-flowery that I let it go and even have to sniff it more often with my nose on my arm: Yes - I am thrilled, really beautiful! For me the perfect middle between transparent, bright clarity (through ginger?) and soft creaminess of this versatile flower. Every now and then I catch my own scent and am always pleasantly surprised how pleasant, fresh and well-groomed it smells. A bit vintage, the whole thing, but somehow in a modern, fresh way.

After about four hours, the tuberose is slowly embedded in musk, which gives it more and more softness and depth. Unfortunately, there is an unpleasant spice added - I suspect osmanthus here (maybe Patch here is his accomplice?). Because the shining, soft flower turns into a spicy-creamy-flowery mishmash, which collapses and doesn't like it anymore... What a pity, but it all began so beautifully?!

Great start, nice middle, but unfortunately no happy end drydown for me. If it wasn't, this Bloom with its bright, elegant aura and modern vintage vibe would be a great office and year-round scent.

Sometimes, but only sometimes...
I'm not usually a fan of heavy flower scents like you. Whether orange blossom, jasmine, or tuberose (!), too much is just too much

But sometimes, but only sometimes... when I am stricken, powerless and unfocussed like today, and the grey, dull weather adds its rest... then it must be something more.

Yes, then it must be a "pure flower bomb", as the previous commentary by Sarahmuhl so beautifully describes - a really nasty flower bomb with a good bang. One like you!

One that floods the room with sunlight and wakes up my synapses with a siren alarm!
One that keeps me on my toes all day long with obtrusively omnipresent, penetrating jasmine and won't let me rest!
One that rewards me at the end of the day with juicy rose honey for perseverance, and soothes me with cedar wood...

Yeah, this flower bomb is kicking in. She's dominating, loud, demanding, and demanding of me. But sometimes, just sometimes, that's all you need to get through the day. So the next day, if you want to take it easy...

You make me sick! Because I adore you so...
As a huge fan of the British band "Muse", I was naturally triggered when Mugler released a fragrance called "Angel Muse" in 2016. I immediately had the melody of "Space Dementia" in my head:

"H8 is the one for me
It gives me all I need
And helps me coexist
With the chill..."

Visually, I was also immediately taken with Angel Muse, because the campaign photos with the "Muse" Georgia May Jagger, who floats in the middle of a pink galaxy cloud, should probably cast a spell over everyone who grew up with Sailor Moon. It also reminds me of Eris from the animated movie "Sinbad" by DreamWorks: The goddess of chaos takes a bubble bath in a galaxy and makes some nasty plans... The slogan of the advertisement also promises: "A fragrance you will hate to love". All these associations came together to form an extremely coherent and harmonious overall picture in my head... Off to test it!

Test no. 1: In the perfumery I smelled only briefly at the spray head and retreated from it alone with a coughing fit: extremely strong and earthy-bitter, not to say musty! Angel DNA is definitely present!

Test no. 2: Again this earthy, musty, dirty one that kills you. But the scent on the clothes is somehow great: it starts with bitter grapefruit and soon flows into the praline nut cream, which never gets too sticky and sticky, but is balanced by vetiver and patchouli as bitter opposites. It ends in a sweet and tangy drydown, very tasty and interesting!

"You make me sick
Because I adore you so
I love all the dirty tricks
And twisted games you play on me..."

Test no. 3: On the test strip, Muse still smells so sweet-herb-intensive even after a week and makes you sniff again and again.

In the course of time, Hate has truly become an interested Like and finally Love! At this point a big thank you to dear Heikeso, who sent me her bottle! :)

The flacon itself is a real hand flatterer: like a smoothly polished, metallic meteorite from the cosmos, which contains a golden, extraterrestrial liquid. Sillage and durability are (as with Angel and Alien) also out of this world. One spray (!) scents an apartment completely, no joke. On me I can clearly perceive Muse all day long. So far, people have reacted positively and asked what smells so pleasant in this room. In my opinion, the Muse is best used in the freezing cold winter and outside, where it envelops you with a protective, warming aura. No more hate, just love! And in that sense I can only sing:

"'Angel Muse' is the one for me
It gives me all I need
And helps me coexist
With the chill..."

A Frenchwoman on a summer holiday
My first comment here, I'm excited! I have an unusual story in common with Olympéa Intense:
At the beginning of 2019, in cold January, I really wanted to treat myself to an all-rounder fragrance that would accompany me all year round. I had requirements: It should fit to various occasions and temperatures. It must have a good shelf life. It must not contain any disturbing note. And above all: Despite its all-rounder status, it must be a bit "different" and have a certain something.
So I stood at the shelf in the orange M, tested my way through, but nothing convinced me "at first sight", and I actually wanted to go.
Suddenly she walked past me. My jaw just fell to the floor. Wow... I've never seen a more elegant young woman! Black Beret cap, underneath a blond mane. Red lipstick. Grey-blue eyes, grey-blue trench coat. Black bootees. With her French-influenced style and her presence, she embodied something that I also wanted a piece of! I was so fascinated. Where did she come from, where is she going? It was one of those moments in life that you will always remember.
She went straight to the Paco Rabannes, unerringly attacked the Olympéa Intense and fogged herself in. A gentle cloud of bitter freshness, fruitiness and sweetness reached me. Mmmh...! I want to, I want to! After she left, I immediately grabbed the round bottle. The fragrance was still hanging in the air: it was vanilla, definitely, but a fresh brew vanilla. Orange fruitiness. Something harsh, maybe wood? I didn't know. I didn't know. I only knew "at first glance" that I had found my all-rounder with that certain something. I couldn't thank the elegant lady from Paris enough for her performance in spirit. I really wore the scent every day and got compliments.
Meanwhile I think that Olympéa Intense (low dose!) is more effective in summer, and especially on vacation. He has something refreshingly maritime about the salt. The sweetness of vanilla and orange blossom gets something tropical at warm temperatures. I always imagine a romantic evening stroll on the beach in addition to the scent. But I met him in the cold "Paris"... :)
