I bought this on a trip to Milan, I thought I would treat myself and spend 200 buying something based on hype instead of trusting my nose. I will preface this by saying this smells of top quality materials and masterful blending. On my skin though this doesn’t develop much it is milk chocolate (artisan though not your local grocer) with vanilla and a hint of spice which reminds of chai but doesn’t smell like it. That is it. I don’t get the rose or liquor on my skin. it also gets musky in the drydown. So overall I can appreciate the craftsmanship but I find myself really bored by it.

I generally think twice before blind buying a Lancome perfume they tend to be too sweet on my skin, however Oud bouquet made me throw all caution out and I am glad I did. This is a rose soaked in sugar, vanilla a bit of liquor and slowly cooked to a rose jam and, to offset the sugar in comes the woods ( I know oud is not listed but I feel like it’s present )and this adds a slightly creamy and tangy feel to the scent . It should sound heavy but I am not sure if it’s the aldehydes, but the scent retains a fizzy quality making it lighter and easy to wear. I own oud bouquet which I love so much but I find myself reaching for this more often.

I blind bought this bottle, it was on a good offer and I am always looking for a good tuberose to fall in love with. First of all I love the packaging, it’s expensively classy with a hefty glass bottle and a magnetic cap. Now how it smells.. this is a very elegant tuberose essence, it s slightly creamy, stays on the clean side and doesn’t veer into the buttery bubblegumy territory that most tuberose centric fragrances go ( Fracas, truth or dare, Michael kors etc) the opening has a spicy twist With the cinnamon, this phase doesn’t last long but I wished it did. It wears really close to the skin like a veil, With medium projection to low projection but it lasts the whole day. This was a love for me so much so that I had to sell my other tuberose fragrances as I couldn’t see myself wearing them anymore.
