"The fact that I didn't come home right away was a bit of a surprise"
TL;DR: Flies under the radar. Very well-made, old-school fragrance. Masculine without being old-fashioned, surprisingly long-lasting for a cologne. Men: Have the courage!

The Viennese rogues have been on the market since 2018. When exactly they rediscovered and re-released this nasty recipe from 1953 and where it actually comes from are just a few of the questions I ask myself about this fragrance. Another question is: How good is it actually? I'll try to be brief: I don't think it fits in with the current style of bapps-sweet, creamy, powdery or citrusy crowdpleasers, which seem to be springing up endlessly like mushrooms. But that's not what this fragrance wants to be. For me, Strawanza is a modern gentleman who doesn't have to please everyone. A gentleman who is self-confident, friendly, determined and calm in his everyday life. He knows his worth, smells distinctive and tart, with that tiny hint of sweet creaminess that rounds him off. A 'prowler', loosely translated into High German, he is not for me right from the start.

The fragrance opens with a fresh, woody menthol/pepper accord. The clove in the background is initially reminiscent of spicy cinnamon. Anyone who wears their hair close to the skin will agree that it is directly reminiscent of shaving soap. Clean, fresh and yet spicy, it transitions to the woody, earthy heart of the fragrance. Nothing stands out, the menthol fades into the background and allows the pepper to melt into the cashmere wood and cedar wood. After around 1-2 hours, the base notes of slightly creamy musk, smoky oud and labdanum and minimally sweet tonka bean join in. At best, this is where I could let the name "Strawanzers" pass. What I find great about this fragrance is that there is no lavender at all. This sets it apart from the 'conventional' fougères and makes it come across as mature WITHOUT opi vibes, more like daddy vibes... ;)

Each of us has a different perception of scents, but for me this cologne tells a short story of a man who shaves in the morning with a shavette or a plane, goes about his work or business during the day in a polite but dominant manner, spends a lunch break in the forest and in the evening knows how to enjoy his evening in cultivated company and classically dressed and perhaps comes home later than planned one or two times..

Personally, I don't see the fragrance on milk boys or yes-men, this fragrance is not a screamer, but stronger than some EdP on the market. You have to like barbershop / fougère, then it picks you up. If you can see yourself wearing it, you have an absolutely solid daily driver, an aftershave and a statement fragrance all in one.

Go for it, boys: have fun testing it!

"Isn't that Creed Aventus?" No, it's not!
TL;DR: Similarities to Aventus in the opening, much fruitier and becomes earthy-green with wonderful oakmoss à la Hacivat in the drydown. Batch problems.

There are several reviews of this fragrance on Parfumo, YouTube and other social media. Yes, SNOI has rudimentary similarities to Creed Aventus, but it goes its own way and, in my opinion, sits exactly between Aventus and Hacivat.
Right at the opening, you are met with a wonderfully fresh, fruity and citrusy start that is reminiscent of Creed Aventus, but much stronger and more intense. Although not listed, I get a good dose of pineapple right at the beginning.
This fruity start leads into a minimally fougère-like heart of musk and lavender. I enjoy this phase, as the fragrance is still easily perceptible and wonderfully distinctive and spicy.
Unfortunately, batch variations are an issue with this fragrance and so I was only able to enjoy the drydown for a short time. Perhaps it used to be a beast, but I only get a light, tepid breeze from the aforementioned Hacivat drydown with its earthy patch, sweet-tart saffron and distinctly green oakmoss.
On me, the fragrance lasts around 8 hours with a noticeable presence in the first 3 hours.
It is very versatile and can be worn all year round thanks to its fragrance profile. It is a little more mature than Aventus in my opinion, so I would rather see this fragrance on men over 25.
When you factor in the affordable price, the fact that it smells high quality and combines two great fragrances, it is definitely recommended and worth every penny.
So why my review title? When I wore this fragrance to the gym, I was asked several times and on different days whether it was Creed Aventus. In my opinion, it's a testament to how well-crafted and high-quality this fragrance is in the air before it sadly becomes skin-deep after a few hours, crawls into the earth and goes to sleep with patchouli leaves and a blanket of moss ;-)

This ain't nothin' but a summer jam. Bronze skin and cinnamon tans... Chapeau Zara!
TL;DR: Lives up to the hype. Spray count determines the shelf life. Fruity, bergamot/tangerine tea with a summery vibe. Blindbuy worthy!

I have to admit, I was very skeptical at the beginning. And that's putting it very mildly, considering that I tried it a total of 3 times before I decided to buy it.

So simple, so neutral, so easy to knit. Almost like a white pair of Jordans. Or a pair of canvas shoes? I don't know which analogy is more apt. But the target group is likely to be the same in any case. Wearers who don't take themselves too seriously, are calm and relaxed and simply radiate a positive charm.

But which analogy is it? The Jordans or the canvas shoes?
Rather the latter, as this fragrance has more of a summer vibe for me. Literally like the sun rising on the red sand dunes, this fragrance opens with sweet bergamot and mandarin.

Wonderfully fresh, not too citrusy and hardly synthetic! Well done. But who wants such a simple fragrance? This is where my skepticism comes into play.

The first time I smelled it from the spray head in the store, I put it back and wondered how anyone would want to smell it while I was surrounded by a veil of "Nefs | Nishane". The second time, I went back to the store and this time sprayed it on the back of my hand and didn't put on any perfume for the day. The wonderful opening, but I thought to myself: And now? That's it? So I left it on the shelf and continued my shopping. During the whole shopping trip - 40 minutes - a wisp of a very familiar scent came up again and again: "Imagination | Louis Vuitton", but in this case it was only "Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes (Eau de Parfum) | Zara". "What's happening here? Do I like it after all?" I kept thinking to myself until I persuaded myself to pay the low price and just wear it properly.

No sooner said than done, so on the way to my car I did my spray routine for Freshies: 12 PFFFFTSSSss spread over my shoulders, elbows, neck and the back of my hand.

I literally liked it more and more every minute, with more and more floral and creamy notes every hour. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the fragrance does indeed have a very mild, fresh green tea vibe, even though it's not listed.

Very similar to a mild Earl Grey tea without any musty or dark nuances - a really pleasant progression and a great vibe that this fragrance conveys so effortlessly, simply and accurately. Just as smoothly as it flows, I could imagine that it might be too simple for some connoisseurs, but for my part, after +100 fragrances that I have personally tested in the meantime, I like this one very much and I like a lot of it, because it has nothing penetrating and intrusive but smoothly and relaxedly takes up the small or large space around you, depending on how much you apply ;)

This fragrance is NOT a 1:1 copy of the 10x more expensive model, but the vibe and that is clearly what this fragrance knows how to imitate is the same and that is what makes it so pleasant for me.

A sunny day by the sea
TL;DR: If you like aquatic/salty/fresh fragrances, Milestone is the perfect choice. Great longevity for a freshie, pleasant interplay of notes, top for the price. Recommendation to buy.

My review of this fragrance begins with a journey. Literally. This fragrance haunted me for the first 6 days of my trip to the Caribbean. I had taken Milestone as a bottling with me on the trip, but didn't secure it with Teflon tape. Unfortunately, almost half of it leaked out of my 1 liter carry-on bag. However, I was able to smell how the fragrance unfolds, develops and lasts for the first few days. The answers: "very", "very good" and "very" again.
I'll cut a long story short at this point: The fragrance starts with a fruity/fresh combination reminiscent of a freshly cut sweet and "flowery" watermelon with bergamot peel. After a few minutes, the heart and thus the soul of the fragrance: sea breeze. Imagine a sea breeze without seaweed/fish, if that makes sense: salty, "watery" and floral-fresh at the same time, probably due to the violet. At no point does Milestone impose itself, provided it is dosed correctly, but forms a present and pleasant veil. Later on, the sea tea vibe becomes darker and darker with ambroxan, a pronounced saltiness and creamy sandalwood/musk notes
With a longevity of just under +10 hours on my skin with 1-2 hours of moderate-good projection and sillage, it is significantly stronger than its "role model".
At this point it is a mystery to me - as so often - why it is rated so much worse on Parfumo.de than its role model, as they smell almost identical. Be that as it may, it will always be part of my vacation collection. Both in my toiletry bag and in the future in a tightly sealed atomizer. :-)

Long live the king!
TL;DR: Absolutely worthy flanker to the original. Anyone who likes "Jubilation XXV Man | Amouage" will love this one! Slightly better durability, significantly better sillage behind the wearer. Fruitier, sweeter and more opulent than the original.

As I write these lines, this magical aura surrounds me. An aura that I am in awe of. Is it just me or is it the fragrance itself? Even I, who have already smelled hundreds of fragrances, can say with a clear conscience that nothing I have smelled so far smells as opulent, high-quality and special as this masterpiece. Masterpieces, of which Amouage is known to have quite a few in its portfolio, so this treasure from the golden bottle shares my personal number 1 spot with Interlude Black Iris.

The fragrance notes are, as you might expect, very similar to the original. Everything is so harmonious and finely interwoven, nothing stands out directly. The blackberry opening has been slightly intensified and enhanced with blackcurrant, making the opening fruitier and fresher than the original.
Yes, it lasts longer, it also projects a little better, but where it really blossoms is in the sillage it draws behind the wearer. A beautifully complex, fruity-sweet, woody-honeyed veil paired with incense, resins, musk, rose and cinnamon.
I was worried beforehand that the lack of honey would bother me, but the note of broom in combination with the resins and bay rum is a worthy and absolutely fitting substitute.

"Jubilation 40 | Amouage" exceeded my expectations by far: I had expected a "louder" Jubilation XXV, but this extrait has its very own touch, that je-ne-sais-quoi, which honestly makes it smell even more premium and special than the original. An upgrade, if you like.

To sum up, I can say that the effort and money spent on this work of art was worth it for me and it immediately brings a smile and a smile to my face every time I wear it.

Thank you Amouage for this worthy flanker. "Jubilation 40 | Amouage" is really something special and very special in every positive way imaginable.

Like a jubilation that immediately comes to mind, I hope Amouage never discontinues the Jubilation range: Long live the king!
