The gentle serenade roars you down
This Zara creation comes in a trio of blue bottles, the design of which is supposed to be reminiscent of maritime holiday beaches. My hope for fresh sea scents was disappointed hard as nails. Here, the alcohol note pops at you, crumpled into a penetrating florality and artificial vanillity. What a surprise! Clearly a reminder of American fragrances, e.g. Bath and Body Works Vanilla. There was also a hand sanitizer gel of this, for example, which brings back memories of trips to the USA (you could still travel to the USA before 2020, after all...). I bought the roll-on with 10 ml. I could never stand this sweetness, this vanillity as a fragrance sprayed on. Too sweet, too strong. But if you like some orchid sweetness and strong vanilla in the winter, you can try it here for little money.
Sillage present. Nothing for me.
Song: Some Eurovision song, colorful, major, strong makeup, simple.

This czara scent also almost disappears before it arrives (quite well)
Reduced on the Zara website to 10.99 euros, he was allowed to come home. The marketing blaBla also here a full-blown history swear about a place in Paris, which wants to remind me of scents of Parisian city canals (how please! Oh dear, well...) and salty memories should bring up (aha).
Zara Morning Sunray in Seville also has a similar scent. The fragrance doesn't deserve that much poetry, though. It is a watered down version of Maison Margiella Sailing Day, very watered down. That's probably why it's more tolerable. Lots of calone. For me ok on hot summer days. Really nothing special, as for example quite some of the Jo Malone Kollaboration.
Advantage: you can spray on a lot of it. I as a woman sometimes like such barber scents. Nothing hurts, or scratchy. One smells fresh and well-groomed soap.
Something far away behind the Calone a hint of incense. But for incense lovers really not suitable. For the reduced price but ok for me and portable. Sailing Day is much, much stronger (also in price about 7x as expensive, if you're lucky). So...if you are looking for a little summer fragrance, why not.
As a song: Undefnierbar lost in the distance, but nice it might have been....

It would be nice if he were here
Zara produces a zillion fragrances, some of them dupes, probably almost all of them. This fragrance was created within a series in collaboration with Alberto Morillas. Morillas co-created CK One, for example, and Narcisso Rodriguez Essence, etc., so he's a perfume legend (not that I know much about that). Because of this collaboration, my interest was piqued because I already really like Zara's Jo Malone fragrances.
The fragrance is now reduced to 10.99 euros on the Zara site. The marketing blah blah lets me know that you're supposed to live through a magical sunrise in Seville here. Aha, well ok.
One thing very clear right away: this stuff is weak on the chest!!! Hardly any sillage, hardly any power. A watery. Nevertheless: very round, very angegenehm. First something citrusy, something spicy (very delicate rosemary), then becomes a still very pleasant Weihräuchlein (no Wummser, gaaaar not).
Reminds me overall of Lush Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds with some patchouli.
An extremely weak little water. But immensely pleasant, not scratchy. An absolute barbershop scent. As a feminine woman, but who likes to wear men's fragrances, I like this delicate little plant and find him relatively ok for the small price. But actually you want to be allowed to smell it stronger. Just too weak, but still as a fragrance idea actually quite successful.
Beautiful purist bottle. For the 20 euros, which he would have cost, actually not recommendable in its weak-brightness.
I spray at the same time the Paris Stories from Zara (Place Dauphine), they smell identical for me, PD possibly a little more Calone. Beautiful, gentle, but too weak.
But you do nothing wrong if you are into artificiality, which looks nice in the bottle. No one will blame you for smelling bad.
What is the fragrance as a song: Something in the distance with beautiful sounds, but too far away

Heavy storm warning on a lonely beach
Get away from me! That's the unanimous opinion of my surroundings, after having sprayed myself with this blue liquid after a strenuous working day far away from the sea, sun and beach with "Sailing Day".
To be honest, I was very careful, the dose was rather low. But I think this is where Calone 1951 strikes with full force. It's more the synthetic leg than the olfactory transport to that holiday feeling. But as a fragrance Calone is actually my favourite, this sea blue, artificial aquatic. L'Eau d'Issey and this calone watermelon lightness as the epitome of the 1990s was my dream. And what is this? Where's my sea noise?

The advertising wants me to connect the squeaky blue water with the sea, the jump into the freezing cold sea, the day on the sailing ship. And my brain is programmed for it, for those sky-blue, clear laundry scents, the fresh and light. And here?
The calone here has nothing to do with watermelon. The scent makes an incredibly brutal start. It's like inhaling a bottle of hairspray. My lungs are choked with horror. Pretty soon something eucalyptus-like appears, i.e. association with a cold and breathing through or again a rather physically exhausting lung function. The sea is infinitely far away. Now the brackish water appears on my skin. Maybe I smell like this when I have spent several days in the sea, more dead than alive? Something fishy, like in "Womanity", comes to mind. So more like crab puffs than beach club. In the end, there is something artificial on my skin with cold incense and ambroxane/molecule 1 associations. This is the "clear" fragrance of the present: nothing aquatic like "Cool Water", but lonely walking in the sense of Serge Luten's "Orpheline". It works on the skin. But for me it has more of a melancholy than a lightness. But that's exactly what I actually like. But here only this hint of metallic peculiarity with brine remains in the finish, as if I have fresh, raw fish in the kitchen right now. Not unpleasant, but strange

My search for the perfect sea scent is not over yet. Unfortunately. Will this Maison Margiela fragrance make me happy? There she stands, the lonely woman on the beach, staring into the distance. On her clothes the remains of the blue perfume, a brackish water with brine and metallic blood (that really doesn't smell like fabric softener à la Acqua die Gio/ia to my nose). On the skin the melancholy of "Orpheline". Actually I like it, I tell myself. And there the brackish water is already gone again in the fog.

Film: The Piano, The French Lieutenant's Women
Song: Le Plat Peys (Welcome to the Sch'tis on the journey to the "bleak north"!)
Flacon: Looks great. The blue, clear water is deceptive
Mood: The melancholy of existentialist exhibitions when I stroll through art galleries in Scandinavia. This is the closest I get to the sea.

Possible similarities to Sel Marin from Heeley. Unisex and with me not as strong as Tom Ford Costa Azzura, which I found rather too "masculine". Has nothing to do with suntan lotion scents. Nothing floral. It's better to test it first. Blindbuy with me, but I don't regret it.
