Why didn't you introduce yourself earlier?
I am constantly trying to keep my collection "clean". This includes that I want to have as few fragrances as possible that resemble each other. Exceptions confirm the rule, as always.

So it happened that a friend of mine sent me his remaining Platinum bottle. Although I already knew Platinum from a bottling, the fragrance experience straight from the bottle was as different as day and night. Was it because of the plastic of the sample vaporizer? Does the eye smell? I don't know. Anyway, I suddenly became a fan of Platinum. And I had to get my own new bottle
Pre-commentators compare Platinum with Cool Water or Green Irish Tweed (both of which are known to be very similar, at least in the top note). And: You are right. Since Green Irish Tweed was in my collection until recently (you might have guessed it already), the similarity could be verified, the differences highlighted.

Where GIT with its verbena flair comes across as perhaps too old-fashioned, Platimun with its neroli and jasmine touch is somewhat less dogged in its appearance. Platinum is not necessarily light-footed, but very relaxed, less serious, but still serious. GIT has a certain muff at the end of its shelf life when dosed properly. Which I don't think is necessarily bad, but which doesn't match the previous course. Platinum remains more faithful in its development and says goodbye after a similarly long dwell time with a little more oakmoss and vetiver, but doesn't surprise you with an unpleasant drydown.

Platinum is attached to me for many hours, accompanies me reliably for a whole working day even in high temperatures and also amuses me in my free time. To recommend unconditionally, to all those who like freshness with a little substance, not averted from the scent of GITs, but who like to smell a little more modern. It should be mentioned that Platinum is in no way a modern creation of recent years, but has been around for 27 years. Were there any reforms? Maybe, I only know the current version.

GIT is still a brilliant fragrance for me, but had to give way to Platinum in my collection.

Short and sweet!
"Cut my collection into pieces, this is my mix of all. Inhaling, deep breathing don`t give a fucking fabulous if I spray my arm bleeding."

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow As a great friend of anything that smells of shower gel, I couldn't help but notice a purchase from Sedley. And I was not disappointed. Sedley incorporates many of the nuances of today's best-selling mainstream fresh-shelf successes. Bonds were definitely taken from Bleu and Sauvage and blended to create a blend of the best. The green mint and frankincense have been ingeniously blended in, giving my nose that special something. For the first time I have a clue what Caschmeran is and Ambrox is reduced to a tolerable level, so it doesn't get as repulsive as Sauvage for example

I can't really see the much-criticised problems with durability. You just have to remember that Sedley is a fresh scent. Yeah, PdM usually makes pretty long-lasting scents. The shelf life of Pegasus, for example, is the half-life of uranium. You can't measure Seldey by that. The list of the world champions of durability generally contains rather few fresh scents

In my nose a modern, pleasing, fresh and slightly masculine fragrance, which will surely be a pain in the neck for many people because of its similarity to some mainstream fragrances. It's worth a test nevertheless and if you still have some space on your shelf, you can even tolerate a fresh, dull scent. The bottle is a dream in dark blue and looks great not only as a paperweight.

So, gotta go and hear a little Papa Roach... "...cause I'm losing my money, losing my sense of smell, wish somebody could tell me I have enough fresh scent..."

Thank you for reading it

Freshly showered through the desert
I can no longer say exactly who brought this scent to my attention. Anyway, I had it on my watch list for a long time and it happened that I recently did a sharing for White Incense, because I finally wanted to know what the fresh Arab was all about. The selection of shops that offer this scent is not very big, strictly speaking, there was only one (serious) online retailer, directly from the United Arab Emirates. Since there were probably some other perfumos m/f similar to me with this scent, the sharing was also very quickly full. The delivery time was quite long, but that was also truthfully stated by the dealer in advance so. Well, the waiting was really worth it from my nose, ... uh view.

In principle, I have dedicated myself olfactorically to freshness and astringency. All too oriental does not usually find my attention, but exceptions confirm the rule. Now to the fragrance...
The top note bodes ill. I smell a gasoline-like, sweet wood with a hint of cologne! I thought it was a joke. I've been waiting so long for this? I'm reminded a bit of Lempicka Homme, I didn't think it was a bad perfume, but it wasn't really mine. A.B.E.R. then it really gets going:

The smell of gasoline changes towards the mountainous orange and pulls the wheel around, away from the penal transfer to the souk (department for exposed scents), towards the budding enthusiasm. I don't know what it is, maybe the jasmine or the white orchid, but White Incense gets a twist in a very special and unique direction. Here the comparison with CdG Kyoto comes to mind, which has a very calming effect with its light and restrained incense. Only that White Incense also has a special freshness. I call it once Arabic freshness. No Note de Yuzu citrus cracker and no Gentle fluidity premium synthetic freshness, but rather a subtle, restrained, light neroliesque and spicy freshness. Neroli is not mentioned in the notes, but I think I can smell it. The oud stays shyly in the background, which I like very much.

The durability is unfortunately also quite shy. After 3-4 the scent diminishes noticeably and becomes a scenttaura, which has completely disappeared after 8 hours on me. But somehow this fits well with White Incense. He doesn't want to be pushy from the beginning, comes across completely wrong at first due to insecurity, is a bit introverted and gives his all. But at some point he has to retreat again in order to recharge his batteries for the next mission.
The bottle itself does not look very high quality. The white cuboid cap is made of plastic and is really cheap. But I don't want to grumble.
White Incense is a special scent for me and I am glad to have got to know it. Maybe I'll buy it again. Is it special? Yes! But it is not quite the secret and undiscovered top star that some people claim it is in my nose. But my universe of scents has been expanded by a rare and unusual scent

photo SYNTHESIS
Apparently, some perfumers here have quite similar experiences with this silver fabric here. With some of them you can read that it took a while, that they thought it was disgusting in the beginning and that you're now completely blown away by Gentle fluidity. Pah!

Funny as it sounds, I felt the same way. MFK is now not necessarily the fragrance house from which I like every second fragrance, not even every seventh. Apart from masculin Pluriel, I really can't wear anything. But you can read great things about the silver Gentle fluidity from the beginning. So last autumn I sprayed the Gf on paper for the first time in a department store. Top note directly "bääh"! Sweet crab with pseudo freshness. Test strips promptly disposed of. I came back a few weeks later and sprayed the test strip as well as the wrist, you never know. Result was still, more "so" than "lala". The smell just didn't seem to be for me. Chapter closed.

But of course it turned out quite differently. Fixed again by very benevolent comments and statements about the fragrance, I dug out a sample last week that I had received from a dear perfumer a while ago. It should be mentioned that blue sky, pleasant temperatures and spring fever prevailed (I'm happily married). This time after the spraying then "wow!". What a spoon this is suddenly. It almost knocked my socks off, because Gf is now perceived by me in such a completely different way. The "Süßkrams" in the top note is merely the precursor for this synthetic symphony of freshness, which bears the double name "Musky-juniper" and reveals a very special freshness that won't let me go. Unfortunately the feared will-having-reflex came and I found a good offer in the souk. The flacon is so clean, silvery and shiny that you would like to wear it as an amulet around your neck. Up to now I have never found a bottle that reflects the essence of a fragrance as well as this Gentle fluidity. My feeling is also that the fragrance needs light to unfold really well in my nose. The sunnier the day, the better I find this splendid example of synthetics

After all, synthetics are generally considered to be pejorative when it comes to perfumes, dear fellow-smellers. With expensive perfumes this should not happen at all! However, the synthetics of this fragrance could not be more fitting and appropriate. Sometimes the fragrance makes me think of various science fiction scenarios: White glass palaces, well-groomed people walking busily through the futuristic pedestrian zones. White floating gondolas move in orderly tracks in the public transport of the future. Everything is clean, everything is tidy.
Well, I didn't think my opinion of any fragrance could change that much. Even if other perfumos have had different experiences, but the one or other splash more, the fragrance on me - contrary to many others from MFK

Invasion Gârtnèr
I became aware of this fragrance through its sensational bottle. Pretty shallow, I know. But until you get to know someone better, you often go by their appearance.

Then it happened that a travel bottle of the barbarian was offered, which I then secured from a nice perfume. Of course, the travel flacon was much simpler and more disreputable than the parade flacon with the Roman bust. I assumed for a long time that it was the Roman dictator Caesar, but this cannot be verified on the wonderfully unprofessionally designed website of MDCI.

The name of the perfume made me expect a much more tart and woody scent. A closer study of the individual notes might have enlightened me. Invasion Barbare starts in my nose directly full of herbaceous citric. It throws the top note at you, ruthlessly... like a real barbarian. Here the barbarian swings the brute lavender leg after a short time and throws all kinds of plucked garden plants around him. I perceive this romp for about 30 minutes. After that the barbarian seems to become aware of his anger and gets a bad conscience, becomes calmer and plants the plucked out plants fine and clean back into the beds and bushes. He ends with a still slightly herbaceous sweetness and woodiness and all in all spends a whole day well perceptible on me.

Invasion Barbarian I imagined as a gentleman's scent that would be great to wear in the office. Well, tough luck. I'm afraid that's out of the question for me. I like scents with wowm, but when the wowm is triggered by lavender, scents seem too old-fashioned. All in all a good, strong scent, which I don't like to smell on me.
