Shut up and take my money! (Part 4)
If you're not averse to Creed, have tested yourself through the usual suspects, you'll end up with the Exclusive series at some point. Spice and Wood was a no-brainer by the scent description, because I knew I'd like it. Pure White Cologne with its ingredients pear and rice I couldn't really imagine as good, but I was so beautiful in the ordering mania at that time... uh, flow and so it happened that I ersoukte a small bottling.

My first impression of the fragrance was "fresh bed linen from childhood". To be more precise, in the Bavarian Forest on the farm of family F. There we were about 1987, I still a squirt, on vacation. I remember a photo that shows me on the farm with the then very fashionable "rat tail" hairstyle à la Anakin Skywalker, but much less cool. It doesn't matter, but PWC reminded me exactly of these fresh bedclothes when I first met him.
The small bottling plant was then very quickly empty and no supplies were ordered due to many other bottlings that wanted to be used. A few weeks ago I remembered this outstanding fragrance and the sunny weather seemed to suit this fragrance very well. But this time I did not want a bottling but a bottle. But since you almost have to cancel a building society contract to afford such a bottle, I tried my luck with the start of a sharing. This filled up in record time with very nice participants and the fragrance was ordered.

The bottle is a feast for the eyes. It stands there with a shape like little Napoleon. The lid is reminiscent of a double-pointed hat, and the shape of the bottle is reminiscent of his coat with raised shoulders, a real eye-catcher. The inlays in 10-carat gold (equivalent to "416") provide the necessary bling bling that is a hair's breadth away from kitsch. Already very special.
At the first sniff I already prepared myself for the flashback to the farm. But the flashback did not happen. PWC still smells incredibly pure and clean. But also more noble and even more special than I remember. The citric opening is quickly enriched by the pear, which provides the special twist and makes the citric smell a little more sweet and deep. The rice gives additionally a special and for me rare undertone, which has a long lasting effect. For me not only the perfect, noble and unobtrusive office fragrance, but also in my free time on sunny days more than fitting.

Although my skin is not very helpful for a long shelf life, I take PWC until the end of the day, not strongly, but I notice it. That's probably a bit stronger than what you're used to from a cologne.
Sure, the price is high. Pretty high. But for that you get a special water that you don't smell every day. The bottle is a feast for the eyes and supports the price a little
Pure White Cologne is by no means a must-have. I am glad to have him in my collection and I am happy every time I see little Napoleon standing there and even more when I sprayed him

A wonderful, classic refreshment
So, friends of fresh entertainment. Pour Homme of the Spanish brand Loewe (a brand name can hardly sound more Spanish, *coughs) has really demanded a lot from me. Months ago there were some comments and statements here that brought Pour Homme to my attention. When I saw him standing around bored in a perfumery, I first tested on a paper strip. Unfortunately, I didn't find him very desirable (old-fashioned, one-dimensional, you know what it's like...) and the topic was closed for me. The good ScentPhantom sent me a bottle of the fabric with the hint that he would really make his appearance on a warm summer evening. Only with this filling the first skin test was done and lo and behold! The dear Pour Homme had a much better effect on me. Although there was still no warm summer evening within reach, I could literally feel the potential. Even on wet and cold pre-coronal rainy and stormy days PH was able to convince me. Following ScentPhantom's hint to an action of a perfumery, I then bought a bottle.

Now I have been back from my annual sun holiday for two days. Average maximum values at about 27°C. In the evening, exactly: Lau. Perfect conditions for Pour Homme. I had two fragrances with me: Pour Homme and Aventus. While Aventus shone with absence shortly after spraying, Pour Homme showed its full lion power. The biting, but not too sour citric, the light floral notes and the incredibly good musk made me feel fresh, clean and happy every time. I am not a friend of overly dominant citric. But even in the first half hour PH was quite pronounced. But it is so pleasantly interwoven that it doesn't have that typical WC-cleaner association, but only THE freshness feeling that you wish for in humid weather, slightly perspiring. I found the durability to be above average. In contrast to Aventus, spraying was not necessary

I'm curious if it will look as good in a few months in the German summer (in a squeaky yellow outbreak suit, the airflow setting of the breathing apparatus should be bombasitic sillage and durability). Fun on the side. Pour Homme is an excellent, classic, no-frills summer/fresh fragrance with above-average durability.

Thanks for reading it.

Creed's Hidden Champion
Literally translated royal mayfair means "royal mayfair". In English-speaking countries, our German "Schlossallee" at Monopoly is also called Mayfair. And if the good AdAstra72 hadn't texted me a statement about RM, I would have missed out on something. Because the scent description "flowery woody" gave me a creepy feeling.

With men's fragrances, "flowery" in my nose is unbearable. So be it. I ordered a sample and made a surprise announcement: Flowery? Fuck...uh, f...f..uh, f...f...yeah! So flowery. But the eucalyptus, the gin touch and the woods turn it into a wonderful floral, slightly masculine and special touch that I could not have imagined. RM is a little stuff that lifts the spirits, is professional and gentleman-like, is (at least) very well wearable in dirty weather until spring and early summer and always inspires me

For a Creed the durability is quite acceptable and I have a noble companion on me for a whole working day. But RM also does a very good job in his free time, he is not pushy, but well-behaved, noble and special. Every morning I have to brake myself so that I don't spray RM every day.
Creed has created a true underdog who has always flown under my radar. As glad as I am that this is not a fragrance that every Aventist (clichéd summary of those please in silence) likes, I would be happy if the interest of one or the other could be awakened.

Thank you for reading, and get well through the storm.

The '90s just called...
...and want the large capacity discos back.

Honestly? What a time-traveling smell! For the first time I just sniffed the spray head and was immediately at the end of the 90s, around the time I finished school, Saturdays in the KuFa in Saarbrücken or in the A65 in Kandel. The woofers distributed the sound of Westbam with pressure on the dance floors. The cargo pants (without a leg pocket you were a loser) were held by fabric belts with exchangeable buckles (mostly from Carhartt or Burton), the thin leather strap around the neck (either with a mini wooden surfboard or a small shell) was tight around the neck, the blonded tips (because of offspring, not because of HP) were obligatory
The bottle of Deperado cost about 3 DM, Vodka Red Bull was also drunk warm and we had the nights of our lives
I never had such a flashback with Nightflight. But I didn't own any sculptures at that time. But this fragrance, or family of fragrances, represents for me everything that was good then.

After the very fresh, almost sharp start, Sculpture quickly becomes a little weaker and a little sweeter. It reminds me of a bowl of Skittles. Which I don't mean negatively. Smells really... uh, great! Afterwards the amber really hits me and the scent becomes pleasantly warm. The sillage remains within acceptable limits. But with this price, frequent re-spraying is not a problem. Wait, I should use the subjunctive here. So frequent re-spraying would not be a problem if I sprayed it on. Sculpture is the trigger to my youth, but today I don't want it on me anymore. Nevertheless, the exchange bottle is kept to sink back into the old times every now and then it was nice! :-)

An obituary
I have to hurry with writing before the memory has faded, because Fucking Fabulous has to leave me, unfortunately. It's my wife again. No, wrong. I am to blame again, because I had to buy a complete bottle of the little potty (I gave it to myself for Santa Claus), without checking the compatibility with my better half.

Yesterday we were in the process of preparing to dress up for an annual event in Hamburg. The lady in an evening gown, the gentleman in a tuxedo. I asked the lady if I should put on something fresh or something heavy. Fresh would have been Aqaysos, heavy FF. Your choice was a difficult one. Zack, half splash on the chest, half splash on the back of the head. Undershirt put on and down the stairs to the living room to put on the shirt that was provided. That was the plan, but it was rejected ad hoc and resulted in me having to take another shower, including washing my already styled hair. As far as the deviation from the time sequence of the schedule I had set until the pickup by the taxi and the conjugal dialogue connected with it were concerned, I will not repeat them here. In any case, my wife found good Tom nauseous and something of intolerable. If I sat with her in a car and spent the whole evening in the ballroom next to her, she would not survive the evening...

With FF, Tom Ford has created a fragrance that makes the bombastic orientalism a little easier for me. FF can't really be described, I smell liquorice, some hashish, leather, spices and wood. Nothing that I like particularly, but captured in this bottle, it gives a very special and, in my opinion, easily wearable fragrance for many occasions. I don't know anything that bears any resemblance to FF. But watch out! If you pull the trigger more than twice, you need a gun ownership card in the EU, because it really hits you and even gives me a headache. The shelf life is comparable to the half-life of plutonium. Really out of this world.

Unfortunately the good Fucking Fabulous will have to leave me now and I can go on the search for a new scent with a clear conscience. I'm gonna miss him already

Oh yes, as a "substitute" Royal Mayfair was then used - also a brilliant material and very compatible with Mrs. Norleans.
