Some time ago I bought this fragrance here at the Souk and wanted to follow up all the good YouTube recessions. It was hard for me to imagine how a scent could smell so much like leather/manliness/whisky and co. and at the same time still playfully turn women's heads when passing by. And yes, I was proven wrong
After unpacking the Duftpost, a powerful splash landed on a test strip. The skepticism to spray this fragrance directly on the arm prevailed. Hmm, just smells like whiskey. With my growing experience, I knew that I should not put all my judgement into a test strip. Shortly after that a strong splash landed on my arm. After a short time the leather cracked and the inner urge grew in me to dig out my leather jacket, which I had stored for the winter, from the cupboard. A fragrance that exudes masculinity and has earned me compliments from some women. Combined with a leather jacket and a confident look, this fragrance scores all along the line. And that with an unbeatable price-performance ratio.
To the fragrance:
At the beginning the fragrance, in my opinion, appears somewhat synthetic. But this moment of shock should not deter you. The fragrance begins to transform instantly on the skin. The whisky and the leather are clearly visible. With me on the skin, especially the leather comes through clearly. Personal, who likes the scent of leather and who is usually out and about in suitable weather with a leather jacket, the ideal companion for going out or to do one or the other thing.
Shelf life:
Unfortunately, this is where the greatest criticism is made. A fragrance with a Bad Boy aura should do this for a little longer. On me the scent lasts only one or two hours and disappears as fast as it has transformed on my skin. Pity
Sillage:
After spraying on, the sillage is clearly visible. The fellow human beings perceive the scent clearly. Most compliments are given after application, although the Sillage loses its strength with increasing wearing time. Unfortunately also here, in connection with the durability, a point of criticism.
Flacon:
The lid and the closure are an eye-catcher. Without playing around with it for a few minutes, it is almost impossible to hold the bottle in your hand. I particularly like the otherwise simple design.

I'd love to, but
The fragrance has been in my collection for quite some time. For over eight years now, to be exact. It is also one of the few fragrances that I have been tempted to buy twice. Again and again I look at it and still leave it on the shelf. And so it is that the second bottle in almost 8 years is only good-looking when it is full to bursting. My big problem is the negative mood that arises when you perceive it. A prejudice, afflicted with a target group that is associated with this fragrance. Even though I don't belong to the group of people who wear sweatpants and golden Gucci watches, I can't manage to spray it on from time to time. In my opinion, nobody wants to be put into a drawer with a run-up.
To the fragrance:
Actually, I'm thinking of wearing something a little more "manly". But often I also fall back into my teenage days, when I liked to wear something sweeter. That's why I also like a little sweeter and spicier notes. I have to agree with Mr. Fragrance on one point, I personally like the opening - every time a time travel. In the opening the blood mandarin and cardamom clearly bang around your ears and "intensify" the sweet temptation. In doing so, the pepper intervenes slightly and defuses the whole thing. A mixture that really doesn't please everyone and can also provoke clear reactions in some people when sprayed on and worn. Once you have overcome this stimulant after a few minutes, the scent settles a little. The cinnamon, rose absolute and neroli start to work and further defuse this mixture. At the end you can also perceive some leather, whereby the sweetness of the beginning is maintained over the entire course. Compared to the normal 1 million, I find it calmer and more balanced.
Shelf life:
On me the smell sticks quite well whereby I also tend to fade out after some time of wearing. It is only during movement or physical exertion that I consciously perceive it again. My fellow men have there clearly more to smell.
Sillage:
As should be known, this scent projects incredibly well. Therefore, the Sillage is a factor here, which also does not allow the scent for the office. Cornering guaranteed.
Flacon:
Gold bars. It's a little different. From the women's fragrances category, other forms are also known (shoes, handbags, flowers, lipsticks, ...), so why not something golden shiny for men. For me personally, who likes it a little bit more simple flacons, just a little too much. Too ostentatious.
In short, a fragrance that takes me on a journey through time when I smell it. Unfortunately, I can only wear it relaxed when I know that I'm not going among people today. Too bad, actually.

The beginning of a passion
For 7 years I smoked and probably missed many nice scent experiences. I usually only put perfume on because my girlfriend wanted it. I never really thought about fragrance nuances, durability and sillage. At most, the bottle, which in my opinion at the time was supposed to reflect the fragrance, guided my selection in one direction or another. But the conscious decision to quit smoking has changed my world. It is not only in sports that I have reached new heights. Also the world, to perceive with the nose, has changed me lastingly.
Shortly after I quit smoking, I decided to buy a new fragrance. Simply as a new start and a small reward for having made it through the first few days. In my mind not to touch the old incense sticks again, I went to the orange illuminated "M" specialty shop/drugstore (do not confuse with the golden M). There I stood now. In front of shelves full of EdP and EdT. No idea of fragrance concentrations and ingredients. No idea at which corner and at which spray head I should press first. Just go for it. So I started to try my hand at Google on my side through the shelves.
Johnny Depp? There's something familiar about that poster. Broodingly, I sprayed a strong hint of ingredients onto a test strip. There he was. The scent I was looking for exactly for this section. Somehow different and new he smelled to me. Just right to put myself in a new smoke-free image. A fragrance I liked to smell and I am happy when I could apply it in the morning after showering. One that induced some self-confidence. More often than not, I would run into the bathroom just to sniff the bottle because I liked the scent so much. The foundation for my enthusiasm for perfume was laid. (I didn't realize the advertisement with Johnny until much later, I always thought he was advertising for a clothing brand and moved on)
To the fragrance:
In the meantime I have been able to try some scents and sharpen my sense of smell. Especially niche fragrances make it difficult for me to classify this very synthetic scent. I used to like the smell a little better. He was more of a knockout or fascination to me. My problem is predominantly Ambrox. Compared to the EdP, however, it is very balanced here. I even find the mixture of the added pepper to be successful and you can clearly see it when spraying it on. The range of applications for the fragrance is also positive. No matter if club, house party or simply in the office and leisure time - the scent always works.
Shelf life:
One lady noticed the smell on her couch cushion two days later. Especially because of the Ambrox. But also on clothes and skin the scent lasts for a long time and easily survives a working day.
Sillage:
Very loud when applying. But after some time very reserved. Therefore, in my opinion, also better suited for the office than the EdP variant.
Flacon:
My favourite feature is clearly the magnetic lid. The bottle itself is very symmetrical and simple. The way I like it
