Weak oud wood? Or week oud wood?
First sniff from this sample and .......wait a minute, something smells here like Tom Ford oud wood..
What is going on? What are the similar ingredients?
I search immediately and , wow....almost all ingredients are the same.....so that’s why
And now?
Wait again, why none mention on Tom ford oud wood review at similar perfumes section that secret mission smells like it?
So, lets ask my wife...

After 15 minutes she was here. I had already read all the reviews..almost and I thought that i was the only one that have this impression
My wife was positive for similarities, she just said that at the beginning is more sweet and few minutes later is almost the same..
Cardamom is less? Who knows

Dark pine forest forgotten in Heaven, in my dream sample only
Oh my God,!! What a blessing to add this amazing woody, fresh,resin, dark perfume to my collection...
I thought that I couldn’t find something similar, until now..
It brings me back to this flight from Holland to Greece, when i return from my loving wife ...
And i show this woman trying to sell me some fragrances.. She spray to my hand my signature perfume until yesterday.. i was falling in love from the highest skies.
I buy it at once..
Looking outside the sad clouds and the sun falling to a pink orange color.. sniffing and dreaming this woody fresh from Hermes
Before i left airport in Athens i buy from store there another 200 ml...
That was many years ago...
I was wondering if there is another masterpiece with the same mood, similar dreamy aura..
Jubilation 25 hug my senses from first touch.. Amouage quality, perfect silage for a man and above average longevity
After the first sharp, spicy, orange kiss a mystery heart from ancient woods drives me in a deep, dark pine forest..
Hoping to get lost inside to this glowing fog from the green mountains..
I lay down at the middle of the rain,
Some cinnamon leaves flying over the soil..
The drops are sweet
Highest trees moved slowly as the warm wind fight hard and spit resin from their soul...
The road is wide, endless and dark
Long and linear..
That aroma fly around me like it always looking also for me , as i always searching for it... not loud, but perfectly, manly
And then , suddenly i wake up, very hard...
It was a dream only....
The sample was the ticket to heaven, but when i purchase the full bottle 100ml it was a different perfume, a nightmare....
an annoying, not clear, without resins, missing the main oils, the good scents. A bad perfume, dirty, animalistic, weak, without longevity and silage...
A cheap perfume that looking and laughing at me..
The weird is that i order the bottle from the same high rated e-shop that i get the sample..
This is the cruel reality
Worst than a nightmare
I send it back...i explain, they said that will replace it with another from different batch..
I decide to contact with amouage, to find out what is wrong..
Amouage didn’t respond to my email about batches and about made in UK or made in Oman senarios..
The perfume’s designer also didn’t respond to my msgs on FB or insta...
So, sample was a bait..to steal the 200 euro
One night i wake up and i search in the dark to my drawer and find this 2ml sample.....
It was empty...
I knew that even if i try to spray I couldn’t take a full spray, but i try....
Some mini drops came out of the sample, like the last breath of life.. but it was enough to bright the room of this original , magnificent perfume...
shiny, warm and spicy..woody with divine resins...
I sleep with this smell...
I could have some sniffs many hours later, even after the shower...
and now what?
I wish I discover a time machine, to go back in time at 2008.. try to get back all the underestimated authentication
I will find a store and say..
- Good morning, i like to have all the amouage jubilation xxv you have right now to your store..plus all you can order for me..
- how many you like sir?
- all you can get..
- forgive me sir, may i ask you what you gone make with all these?
-At the future original things and original people will be very rare.. all they will wear masks and they will try to wear masks to the perfumes also..
At the future this magnificent perfume will be so fake as the people around it and they will betrayed their own creation
But none will care for honesty and originality
Everyone will care only for money and how they can mislead other people for effort ...

Floral in a small piece of wood
I admit that my addiction to collect niche perfumes forced me to buy first the high rated juices.. hoping that all these people know and feel exactly as i feel and smell.
But finally i was wrong..
My opinion about floral perfumes is strict.
In my collection there are some unisex fragrances with floral, sweet tension but not so feminine as reflection man..
Maybe the reflection of every man must show something feminine for balance.. is this the meaning..?
By the way, Reflection man is not for my nose..
Sweetness combined well the rosemaries, jasmine flowers, but woody notes are weak.
I expected something fresh but not so sweet..
I was hoping for a pinch of spicy and dark note..
Silage is good, as most of Amouage frags.
Longevity is above average, 7 hours
If you are a floral, sweet person Reflection man is ideal.
For manly and intellectual perfumes Amouage have many better..
But finally i was wrong..

This perfume reminds me a nice shaving foam that i use when i was younger. But for sure it has more fresh mood.
This is the moment that a smell take you from the one side of the earth to the other..
Hit you hard to the images of the past, blocking your breath from the curiosity of lost youth...
And that’s it...it gone
Its like when you open the car window at the middle of a forest road...
Its morning, the sun is still not high and you hear a classic Bach sad music..
The first air coming from window and touch your face...
So fresh...
So natural...
The nostalgic orchestra sounds catch your memories and throw you at once to the deepest black cloud before the rain..
The rain take you , carrying you thousands drops and split you in so many small pieces
Like a glowing fog, you fall upon the highest trees....
Touching some exotic bursts...
The dew start to fade away..
Kissing fresh cut wet guaiac woods...entering your nails inside..
Later, the darkness cover all the sweetness and as you try to pass the mountain , you just follow your instinct and the smell of the woods...
Where is the end of this dream?
Its so close to you and comes fast, like a very small dream that make you love all the colors of darkness...
A black castle appears
You want to find the entrance, suddenly you fall in love.. but the castle start to melt.. the earth absorb it ..
Wide open the ancient soil emerges some mystery aroma , make your eyes drunk....
Lay down for sleep on a cold soft breeze , you feel on your face some mint and spicy leaves trying to wake you up..
It was a dream and its gone so fast.
Im still in the car...no music
The window still open...but i keep searching for that smell and is not here anymore...
So fast...so slow
This is the moment that a smell take you from the one side of the earth to the other..

Woody in sweet-less dirty heart
I think a review could be fair only if you have a huge experience and knowledge. So you can recognize and analyze the facts right.. I will just write my humble opinion.. Especially at 2010 when Herve from Avon released i was just a enthusiastic perfume collector, who just let my inexperience senses decide what is nice or not. As the decades pass things are maybe lil better.
My first impression for this manly, woody, leathery, smoky perfume wasn’t so good. Was very loud and raw for my age and for what i used to smell until that moment. The scent is spice, leathery and later woody- smoky. Totally unsweetened, dirty. At the dry down become more soft but still unbalanced. Reminds me the unbalanced of encre noire but without the fresh, cool cypress- cashmere wood... just the raw dirty smoky wood, with lil more woods and amber in it. Few times i thought that it make so bad chemistry with my skin. Then i try to my clothes, result was worst. Bad smell for me. Heavy dirty wood, also a small feeling of ruined mint and like arm- pit, not mine...
The performance is linear with small differences to dry down and never become so attractive, even at cold winter days. I decide to let it as a part of my collection.
Few years ago i try to layering my perfumes and some results were really good. I never try to ruin some legend perfumes, i think isn’t fair to do that.
one day i try again the herve leger homme and i wonder about the missing ingredient from this perfume. Then i was looking from my collection to find the perfect match . Probably a pinch from other woody frag should give better balance and sweetness without to make it sweet.
I decide to try with my favorite woody legendary fragrance and i was hope to give a more resiny fresh result.
I hope to rebirth a new, third perfume and not a second version from one of the two. Wooow!! Herve leger really shine from first minute.. A natural cedar, woody resin fragrance is there and stay for many hours. Make my signature scent more rich, natural, mysterious, unique... Nothing smell like this, i never had this woody, fresh, natural experience from cedar , pine forest with a pinch of peper- menthol . The most important, the result isn’t heavy cause of the mix. Become perfectly natural and clean..
I truly search to my mind where is the one frag and where is the other. I couldn’t find none... The result comes new , more natural and strong, without any mention of technical ingredients...better silage, amazing longevity for all day long. Next days i try again.. WOOW!! I didn’t expect to prefer this layered frag among my favorite hermes perfume...
When i wear it many people from work ask me what is this perfume and I really don’t know what to say. Its a mix and you cannot find it maybe? Herve leger homme is discontinued .. i found from ebay 2 bottles and purchase ..( weird, because I couldn’t imagine to do that until then)
That was the way to understand the quality of Herve and its authentic aura, cause of the mix. Its like a very good quality ingredient that missing the other half from Hermes to become Perfect!
So, lets say my opinion about Herve apart. After this success mix, i change my mind for herve leger homme to one click positive. Maybe is not for my taste but i appreciate the good quality and the simplicity. Still is not easy choice.
Herve leger homme by its own had projection for 4 hours and as a skin scent for 6 more. But if you don’t like a perfume you don’t care about performance, you wish to get rid of it.
