Not my darling
Aren't we all on an endless search for the PERFECT scent for us? Everyone wants one that no one else has. One that not only smells special and special on us, but is also pleasant and gives a feeling of a very individual home?
Guilty, I find myself on that quest. Still and probably will be for quite some time, vllt really "endless".
I want nen Best Buddy, yes nen Dandy and ne gentle soul at the same time. For this I am also ready to test me through countless bottlings.
As chance would have it, I became aware of Dioramour. Thank you again at this point, dear sharing "host", that the post reached me so quickly and me an endless wait at least once was not given. ;)

Finally it was here - the long-awaited Dioramour. Admittedly: after all the good comments and statements, the bar was high to meet my expectations. Sprayed directly: I fell in

Without the bitter, the sweet is not so sweet!
My thoughts have been circling around Bottega Veneta edP all day. I have to get rid of it and it doesn't fit into the few lines of a statement.

I already met Bottega Veneta once in winter. But only on the fragrance strip. I thought to myself: definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but still high recognition value - but for me personally much too harsh, too woody, too earthy. Not that I wouldn't like that, but Chypre fragrances and I are simply an unsuitable team. The scent on my skin is too pungent after years of trial and error. And bye-bye test strip that had already wrapped my bag in a cloud of scent that almost gave me a headache (but this was probably due to the test cocktail with various potentials for the winter that I had thrown in there).

Now I'm looking again. Something for autumn with recognition value. Please don't give me any "I'll be sweet and pungent on your skin again" - part 25.
Yesterday I decided to give BV a second chance. Why? BV, who was really a bit too leathery on the test strip for me, could it possibly turn out differently on my skin? It was worth a try.

Sprayed on and wait.
I'm familiar with the bergamot. It always works! Oakmoss and leather are new to my skin. But I like their interaction. It's skillful - rounded off by patchouli, but that doesn't take the lead at all. Some smell the plum dominantly, which - I must confess - I didn't notice even after hours. Which is just as well, otherwise BV might turn out to be too sweet on my skin
Then, more and more mixed with my personal scent, a pleasant fragrance, which does not smell as leathery as on paper. A feel-good scent! I feel dressed, even dressed. In good hands. Top styled, even without make-up and with disheveled hair.
You rock Bottega, you make your wearer an inspiring woman.

So today my decision has been made: Veneta - you are welcome - you will move in with me. You cool, you untouchable, you signature-potent, now-you're in for a long time! For all who want to be classy without wearing high heels, for over 30s women who celebrate androgyny without maybe being it, for all who give something on self-confidence through fragrance embodiment.

Thanks for your impressive talent Veneta...

Granddaughter of Opium
Oh, Twilly has a new one! The content pleases my eye in colour better than the original scent. Sassy pink instead of soft orange. Scent taken from the shelf and sprayed on. My nose likes it on my skin better than on the test strip. Doesn't happen often.
Arrived home and still surrounded by a light cloud. Comfort factor Check.
And suddenly the smell evokes something in me, oh dearest grandma, is it you?
No, not the way you think now. Twilly Poivree is not at all a fragrance for old ladies (maybe so, but not only ;) ). Rather, it reminds me of my grandmother at a young age, which I can only relate to from stories and photos. Just as it existed in my imagination:

A cheeky young woman, natural red hair, butterfly glasses, brown dress with white dots. Always well dressed, always cheerful and full of energy, like the pink pepper, which is the first thing you notice during the fragrance development and is by no means missable.

She knew what she wanted. Confident and sovereign. Always driven by courage, daring and strength. She pursued her goals passionately and with heart. The young rose as a sign of passion in the heart note gives the fragrance a passionate direction, which makes the scent seductive and warm.

Her freckles and her gap in her teeth made people recognize her. Her cheeky, striking manner remained in the memory. Most people probably overlooked her cheeky nature, as she had so much charm that everything was laid out for her good. Patchouli in the base note lends the fragrance stubbornness. Granted - it is intensive and not everyone's cup of tea. But in combination with pink pepper and rose it appears unusually harmonious and almost meek. Just so that you have to like him - at least in this combination.

Why I suddenly had to think of my grandmother when I took a close look at the scent, I now understand. Twilly Eau Poivree represents exactly how I imagined my grandmother to be when I was young. And perhaps it is the interplay of pepper and patchouli that awakens in me an association with opium by Yves Saint Laurent (1977). She had always worn this scent. Whether she also put on perfume in her youth, I dare to doubt, but Eau Poivree would certainly have pleased her.

I would have loved to show her the Twilly Eau Poivree, which unfortunately is no longer possible. Perhaps it is now my job as granddaughter Twilly Eau Poivree to wear it with devotion, passion and pride, always reminding me a little of her. Just as Twilly Eau Poivree reminds us of an apparent granddaughter of opium.

My grandma - a power woman. Hermes Twilly Eau Poivree - an Esprit fragrance with recognition value!

PS. I explain the mediocre satisfaction with this fragrance so far in a way that it does not suit all skin types. With some people it does not really unfold as beautifully. So testing is worthwhile, perhaps he will select several potential carriers for himself. :)

At the right moment
I just got back from vacation. With a new scent in tow, of course. It's kind of become a ritual.
I've never bought a fragrance as "blind" as this time, though. Or better "odorless," my nose is stuffy. And so "without a plan": without knowing suitable occasions, I normally don't buy a new fragrance.
I actually know all the Bvlgari Omnia scents. Indian Garnet has long been one of my favourite perfumes, even though it doesn't have too many followers.
I like to smell Coral and Paraiba, I also liked the green one very much. Crystalline rather less...

But I somehow skipped the purple bottle. Or bypassed? Maybe because I find purple inappropriate for the Omnia series. Kind of mystical, not fresh enough. The other bullets are just for the record. The purple seems inappropriate next to it.

A few days ago my friend and I passed by a perfumery and a new holiday fragrance was waiting for us. Then I suddenly stood in front of the purple bottle and thought to myself: purple is supposed to be my lucky colour of the year, according to a magazine which I recently leafed through in the doctor's waiting room. All right, it was worth a try.

...Having long since arrived outside with my waiting friend, I smelled the test strip and was quite surprised about one. Isn't that how a bottle smelled inside? After a short search I found out that it had been Omnia's amethyst. Surprised at how pleasant and unique this strip smelled, I bought this Bvlgari. Suddenly it was clear to me, why this Omnia is called Amethyste or has the violet color. On the one hand, there is this Omnia known freshness. On the other hand, I perceive something powdery and sweet - unlike the other ominas. That's probably how an amethyst would smell.

I only bought the handbag dispenser so that I could always have it with me, as I already know about the low durability of these fragrances. Without knowing when I'm buying this perfume.
Now that I'm back home, I can hardly smell it on me because I still have a cold. But I'm already looking forward to a free nose and this scent on me. Excited about the scent, the new year and when I will wear it. Lila's gonna be my lucky color.
