The world may be wonderful, but this perfume isn't wonderful to me. Super sweet fruit with a whole lot of caramel. They don’t go together. Too sweet! I actually like quite a few sweet/gourmand scents, including Nina, Ungaro Apparition, and others. But this is a toothache in a bottle. I was grateful it only lasted 2.5 hours.(101610)

From the notes, this seems to be a fruity floral. To my nose, though, it's a very ordinary white floral and not at all my style. This is the first time I've had a sample vial break (it was a commercial sample), so this wound up all over my hands and some went in my keyboard. I did notice its excellent lasting power - I had to scrub twice and coat myself with Youth Dew Amber Nude to make it go away! (102910)

This is rather putrid on me. Have you ever lost a tangerine or an orange in your backpack or purse for a couple of weeks? When you find it, it's shriveled and the skin feels like leather. It's all bruised and it has an odd, sour smell. That's what this perfume is like on me, I'm sorry to say. A lost, bruised orange with some shriveled dead rose petals.

How is it that Mr. Tauer makes two of my all-time favorite perfumes (L'Air du Desert Marocain and Lonestar Memories), but everything else he does is horrid on me? (112210)

I wanted to like this - everything about this line is so cute. I love the names of some of them, the artwork is sweet, and I love the "secret meeting with patchouli" idea in the perfumer's description. However, on me this was straight-up patchouli, plus the flat, gummy scent of envelope glue. (You know, the stuff that makes you have to wash your mouth out if you've licked too many envelopes.)(112710)

This perfume unleashes an entire scenario in my mind. Simultaneously it hits me with delicious smoky tea, a big bar of expensive soap, and cool, soothing metal. My mental image: 1) Working hard building something or moving heavy boxes all day in the 90+F (35+C) heat; 2)Met at the door by my beloved; 3) Meanwhile it starts to rain and cool off outside; 4) I take a shower with a big bar of unscented triple-milled French soap and get into a fluffy white terrycloth robe; and 5) he hands me a pewter freezer-chilled mug of lukewarm mate' tea. It's strong & luxurious but with some subtlety as well. Just beautiful. (113010)
