Scent
cozy, pretty orange
The almond in this is all "top note". I find it gorgeous (a warm, toasted vanilla-almond rather similar to the almond note in Calypso St. Barth Lea), but it fades significantly even within 10 minutes of applying. What's left behind is a very pretty, soft orange that lasts for hours on me. It doesn't smell expensive, and it isn't expensive. It's just cozy and affordable. The shower gel was also great. Unfortunately, I believe that Yves Rocher only made this for Christmas season 2010. It's not on their website any more. (120510)

Scent
not my cup of tea
Leafy, smoky, and very powdery. I've only had mate' tea a couple of times, but I found it much more appealing than this scent. When this dries down, it makes me think of marijuana smoke and green bell peppers. Not a combination I ever wanted to smell!

I tried it once alongside Parfumerie Generale Hyperessence Matale, another soft smoky tea, and found the Hyperessence Matale much more appealing, with its metallic, flowery, and soapy nuances. Yerbamate' is apparently not MY cup of tea. (011711)

Scent
savory kerosene
At first, this has a big hit of fuel (not quite gasoline - maybe more like kerosene) that's odd but not displeasing. When it dries down, it becomes smoky-spicy-savory. It's a denser Bulgari Black with more soul. If you're a fan of BBlack's odd rubber or Lonestar Memories'pungent smoke, you'll probably like this. Unfortunately, this doesn't last long on me, but I don't mind spraying it often to enjoy that delicious drydown over again. (If only it weren't so expensive...) (020911)
