Ice Cream Maker Salt & Straw Launches Edible Fragrances

The US ice cream manufacturer Salt & Straw wants to create a fully sensual experience of a different kind with culinary perfume that can be worn as a fragrance or eaten as an ice cream topping.

In collaboration with the perfume label Imaginary Authors, a range of three fragrances has been designed.

"A Swoon of Citrus" combines the flavors of lime pie, lychee and Italian lemon tree to create an intensely fresh, energizing fruity citrus blend.

"A Cloud of Cocoa"
marries the warm and rich notes of Ecuadorian chocolate, malted milkshake and Japanese whiskey.

A floral blend of jasmine, honeysuckle and wildflowers offers the line's springtime variant, titled "A Plume of Blooms".

On the skin, the creation can be sprayed on as usual. If you also want to use the scent to intensify your ice cream enjoyment, give a few sprays on the cup or wafer and an additional splash on the gelato itself. In this way, the fragrance envelops the actually scentless ice cream, which does not change their taste itself, but it is now also registered through the nose, thus intensifying the sensory experience.

All three perfumes are available in a bottle size of 65 ml.
