Great Patchouli Amber Oud Cream
I have owned the sample for some time now. Again and again she calls for me to wear it. The whole fragrance is carried by the oud, which forms the lowest base and acts as a dark but reserved foundation.
The soft, warm amber cream lies over it. This is supported by labdanum, which brings something waxy and has a slight honey smell. A little vanilla is added from the benzoin.
But the patchouli is decisive for the whole fragrance. Here it is never dark and musty, but bright and sensual. This patchouli on a creamy oud base is what makes the fragrance so attractive. At the same time it also draws attention to itself.
The fragrance opens with floral notes. But these retreat rather quickly and make way for patchouli and base cream.

I sometimes have my problems with patchouli scents, as they are often very luminous and obtrusive. I then find the scent very beautiful, but after one or two hours of wearing it I am only annoyed by it. Unfortunately, these scents then also have it in themselves that they cannot be washed off and usually last very long. So a long "time of suffering" begins.
But that is not the case here at all. The patchouli is very nicely integrated here and the whole composition is just warm, soft and delicious.

He'll definitely move in with me.

fruity dark patchouli scent
I think the bottles of Dunhill are very beautiful. I don't have this one in front of me, but I know the bottles of the icon collection. They always remind me of my father's traveling toilet bag. Inside were cylindrical silver cans for shaving foam and razors. These flacons also have this nostalgic touch, and the fragrances are also very much in keeping with this association.

I would like to thank Schücha for sharing three fragrances of this series, which I was now able to test. The British leather of this series was unfortunately not available for the time being.
One thing first: I find all three fragrances very successful with their oriental-woody note. I am still too inexperienced to recognize special scents. I will try here to describe the fragrance in my possibilities.

I like the Indian Sandalwood best. I only perceive a citric bergamot directly after spraying. She will be recaptured immediately. Instead, I am soon greeted by the typical patchouli scent: a fruit compote of dark berries, fruits, especially plums with a little rum.
Added to this is the scent of creamy, balsamic sandalwood.
The fragrance does not change after half an hour, it just becomes less intense. The sillage is clearly perceptible, but always remains close to the body. On the skin the scent lasts quite long.
Altogether a very creamy, warm, fruity dark and somewhat sweet patchouli scent. Also here for cuddly winter evenings.

But now to the Arabian desert:
After spraying it becomes musty - patchouli-like. But I think it is oud here, which smells so musty at first.
After some time the scent becomes fresher with the pepper. And the rose unfolds its flowery fragrance. However, it remains very attached to the strong base of the oud, which weakens its dark mustiness, but does not lose it at first. A slight smoky note is added.
Overall the fragrance remains heavy and dark woody with the pleasant rose.
The sillage is clear at first. After two hours at the latest, only close to the body, but clearly perceptible. On the skin it lasts a few hours.

All in all a beautiful oud-rose scent, warm, soft, woody, for the winter, for cuddling

Slightly fresh fragrance on a woody ground

Now let's move on to the Moroccan amber.
Right at the beginning of spraying, I am greeted by an overwhelming scent of leather, tobacco and smoke. After a short time this powerful impression fades more and more into the background and a slightly spicy freshness emerges. The cardamom makes itself felt. But I also perceive - very slightly - bergamot. The fragrance becomes much lighter. But it is still not a light fragrance. The whole thing is embedded in a warm, soft woody cover of amber and leather.
The scent does not change after about half an hour. He's only getting weaker. The sillage is clear at first. After two hours at the latest only close to the body. On the skin it lasts a few hours.

I really like the smell. A few fresher, spicier notes float on the woody base. A scent for the winter, good for cuddling

Green soap?
When I mop the floor of my apartment, I have been using simple green soap for years. I just had to go into the broom closet again and make sure that it is not exactly the same smell ;-).
Fortunately, the Creed has much more power and finesse. First of all, as already mentioned, the smell of green soap. The bergamot freshens up the fragrance considerably, but the pepper adds a slight pungency. Fortunately, the base notes make the fragrance a bit softer again and capture the unrestrained freshness a bit. All in all the fragrance is without sweetness.

The fragrance has something of a fresh shower for the whole day. He's a little dry for me, though. The softer notes at the bottom of the otherwise also clear Himalayas suit me a little more.
