The First GQ - The First Perfume - The First Commentary
Uff it was a funny year, I was about 13-14 years old when I somehow decided to buy my first perfume.
Since I had no idea and in my class somehow every boy smelled after the same perfume (JPG Le Male), I really wanted something new, something where every girl would keep me in your memory.
So instead of going to the first perfumery, I went to the kiosk around the corner and bought my first "Männer" magazine (The GQ).
I think on the front cover, Halle Berry was photographed, but I can't remember it that well
Anyway, there was a section about perfumes in the magazine and there was the "Dolce Gabbana pour Homme". Somehow I figured that'd be my perfume. So I went to see a Douglas after school and asked for perfume right away. The nice lady brought me to the Dolce Gabbana corner and shot directly from the tester on the strip. She put the test strip in my hand and I smelled it right away. I had no idea what to look out for in a perfume, but somehow I liked the fragrance directly. He didn't smell everyday. There was something citric but also subtle spicy about him. I knew it would be my first perfume.
I've had the scent for almost 20 years now. In the meantime the label has already fallen off and maybe 10-15ml in the bottle. My wife finds the scent old and cheap, which I cannot understand at all, because the scent is a timeless classic for me.
