Great for the heat
The first thing I spray on, I immediately feel the pineapple combined with violet flowers... it's an icy, metallic, fruity opening. One of the olfactory perceptions that violet can bring in fragrances is a green, sweet, icy, metallic sensation, and it can also be associated with a woody smell. And with that I already say that this pineapple is not at all sticky, sweet, it is a freshly cut green pineapple. Pineapple is one of the tropical fruity notes that I like most in perfumery. This one, as I said, is green, not so strong, but I think it's very natural.

This mixture of pineapple and violence reminded me a lot of the smell of money. With a few minutes we can feel the tangerine, leaving the metallic part of the perfume much lighter, and opening up that more citric, “burning”, slightly acidic, juicy aspect, together with the bergamot. This burning side of the tangerine is even more evident when paprika appears... this paprika is very reminiscent of sweet paprika, yes, the paprika that we use as a seasoning in food.

That burning smell goes away very quickly and what starts to predominate is tea, lavender tea! Yes, it is something aromatic, floral, light and very refined. This perfume has a great balance between fresh, fruity, aromatic, floral.

Finally, tonka bean and cashmere wood appear very shy, with an almondy, sweet and balsamic sensation. Being quite honest, what predominates are the fruity citric notes of pineapple, tangerine, bergamot along with lavender tea.

Excellent
What Sauvage tried to deliver, I believe this perfume here did with mastery. It follows the same line of soapy aromas, with all that after-bath aspect, except that it doesn't bother some noses like Dior's creation can bother (not me, but some people...).

An earthy, citric and metallic opening (something sweet). It's a sweet perfume, although it doesn't look like it, maybe because of the balance of the notes. But of course, in the right measure.

As for its performance, it follows the Prada pattern. It won't be invasive, it will be close and elegant, leaving a noticeable presence in the environment and a subtle trail.

I can't imagine this perfume on romantic occasions, or on a night out. I think it's ideal for times when you need to show elegance and sophistication. Looks great at the office, a job interview, or even a formal situation where you want to be discreet yet noticed. For milder or warmer days. I don't think it matches cold days, it's too refreshing for that.

A good perfume, well elaborated by Daniela Andrier (works well with office fragrances).

Trekking in the woods
The opening of this perfume for me is citrus that little by little, with vetiver, transports us to a very green forest. After about 30 minutes I feel the cypress very evident too, with a hint of musk. The cedar is very subtle, but it can be noticed when the perfume is completely dry.

There's something here that makes me think of Encre Noire Sport, despite the fact that Green Wood is easier to use. Perhaps because it is a lighter, more refreshing, greener fragrance. I will probably be the only "crazy" one to make this reference, but this will be the reason why I find it difficult to elaborate some reviews.

Sometimes when we try to describe a perfume, we have to be responsible, because many people buy certain fragrances based only on the reviews. But is reviewing a perfume difficult? Yes, it's very complicated, because there's the skin factor, time, perception of notes, everything influences. I advise that, when writing the review, you put your nose right on the skin, touching it, as it increases the sensitivity and perception of certain more discreet notes, which will not be present in the air, as they dissipate quickly.

If life gives you lemons...
I have days where I wake up craving a lemon in my life. And in those cases, a perfume like Loewe pour Homme is perfect.

It follows a path already trodden by other more famous works, such as Eau Sauvage by Dior, but with some differentials of its own.

At first it's just lemons... very potent and astringent. After a few seconds, the moss enters the scene, never to leave. As soon as this initial phase of lemon subsides a little, you can feel an accord of herbs, especially basil and lavender, such well-matched notes that are only perceptible together.

Next, a bitter bergamot, which gains a floral touch from geranium. It gets more and more bitter, with the entry of vetiver and patchouli, but softened by musk, under a slightly amber base.

The result is a unique old school elegance, with very good longevity, around 7 hours, and very good initial projection, which later, despite losing a little of its initial strength, does not leave anything to be desired. And the combination of notes, especially the moss, makes it very flexible, for any climate, from intense heat to autumn coolness.

Journey to my ancestor
My taste in perfume tends to lean towards oriental bombshells, old school, heavy, almost overwhelming scents. But I also really like complex, difficult and challenging perfumes. However, I'm a bit promiscuous when it comes to perfumes, and this one, which is totally different, won me over.

I've never smelled beetroot in a fragrance, I've tried other vegetables in perfumery, but nothing like this one. It automatically took me back to the heyday of my European ancestors, where this vegetable comes from. I immediately thought of my grandmother preparing lunch for my mother and uncles, which is curious, as none of them like beets.

The perfume gives me a delicious melancholy, even meditative. It is an introspective perfume, without anything sweet, complemented with a dry and airy incense. And with pink, lots of pink.

Its longevity is pretty cool, around 7 hours, and the projection is medium, but very noticeable. It's that aroma that you can feel again with just one movement, even after forgetting you were wearing it.
